JB Salvage Team did an excellent job of explaining their process when it came to selling our old car for scrap. They were friendly and understanding and walked us through every step. I appreciate their transparency and thought it was a very straightforward process.

But the gentleman who came to pay us and tow it away (I can’t remember his name) was totally fearless and even yanked the nests off with his bare hands (even after getting stung the day before) So grateful for him & JB Salvage for helping remedy this situation!!

JB’s good people. We’ve had them take a couple junkers off our hands over the years, and they are great to work with. Today the tow truck driver even helped me push a car out of the way and back in its place so he could get to the car we sold them. He went above and beyond. Thanks again!
Update to my original 1 star review… the manager reached out to me and was very respectful despite me being very upset. Even tho we couldn’t work our differences out, the manager reaching out shows he cares.

I don't remember the guy name but when i called to get my car pulled he was very polite he explainedevrthing that i wanted to know because i new to the Monroe County he said he will be to me in 30 minutes it only took me 6 minutes to get home and as soon as i step in my house my phone rung with a weired number i didnt want to answer it because i nevee answer numbers that i don't know because they all spams but something told me to answer and when i did it was him what im trying to say instead of given the business a 5 star if there was a button i woild give him a 20 star because he was really understood me and what i was doing. so instead of the 30 minutes he said he will be there he made it there in 7
Just a joyful place of carnage, always find loose pocket, change and switches and wires and plugs and sockets, and sometimes even the part you’re looking for people doing real good as of late with their inventory

The first salvage yard I went to took two weeks of leading me on before ghosting me. I guess they have a hard time saying no to scrapping trucks.
These guys I called up at 10am and had the parts truck towed away and had me paid by 4pm the same day. They also paid me a few dollars more than the others said they would.

Simple update of hours or a answering message which is none now would provide more efficient then a Facebook notice to save many wasted time and trips. Not trying be a Richard by any means but not a complicated task to update so will do it for you in respect to others and having done it prior years...
12 years ago, I had to move a business that has been in the same building for 32 years, including a lot of things out of the 5000 square-foot basement – as I am not very good at throwing things away(but extremely good at hoarding and keeping things that I don’t need) I was filling up a six yard dumpster twice a week with my wife’s instruction and guidance and help – I was gently trying to explain to her that some of these items we are paying to throw away, we could recycle and we actually could get some cash in the process. She catches on pretty fast, and I created a recycling monster! she now saves cans and other metal objects, throws them in the back of her expensive car and takes them to JB salvage – no matter who the boys are working when she comes, they are always very professional, courteous, and extremely kind and helpful, and I thank you for that! I myself visit both sides, buying scrap metal once or twice a year, buying an auto part or two once or twice a year, and taking scrap metal including jump cars two or three times a year(I drive demolition Derby so of course I will have these items) I feel I’ve always been treated good and when needed, helped, and I very much enjoy Chris, Richard, and really everyone down there – thank you for the service you provide, my wife and I appreciate you very much! jolly Dave
Guy just left with my junk car. He is a serious pro at this. He got his flatbed up my insane driveway, and managed to drag a completely dead Subaru out of the garage at a 90 degree angle.

BEWARE! DOES NOT HONOR QUOTES!
I contacted JB’s Salvage by phone to arrange for a parked car to be picked up. After asking for the details on the car, I was offered $230. I mentioned that I also had an electric lawn mower and weed eater and asked if they would make it an even $250. They agreed.
I was told that the next step was to bring the paperwork (NOT the car, mind you, just the paperwork) to their office, followed by “then we can schedule a time to pick it up.” I remember this so clearly because it made me wonder how booked out they might be and how many days it might take to actually pick up the car.
When I showed up with my paperwork and reminded them of the phone discussion and their quote of $250, the guy’s immediate response was, “Well, I don’t know about that.” So he was already trying to get out of paying the amount they quoted me. Sure enough, he said they would have to take off $100 to pick up the car, that the $250 was to bring the car to them. THIS WAS A LIE! They clearly knew the car would have to be picked up…otherwise there would have been no reason for me to schedule a time or to bring only the paperwork to their office. I was cheated out of that money and the ease and shamelessness with which it was done tells me this is standard business practice for JB’s Salvage.
Filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, as well. Avoid doing business with this company!
