We paid for our vehicle to be picked up Sunday night. We had it parked at a mechanic shop, but we received no service from the mechanic. They would not pick up the vehicle since it was parked at a shop and they would need to verify with the mechanic that it didn't have an outstanding bill. They rescheduled for Monday morning. That should have been a cheaper tow, because it was during normal business hours. Come to find out, the company that contracted Ken's said they should have still picked up the vehicle since the keys were in the vehicle.
There is something about being charged $83 to pay $2400 that bothers me. And, when the less-than-friendly man told me that 'they' should have told me upfront there would be a charge to use a credit card, he apparently didn't realize that HE was 'they'. He was the only person I'd talked to. I won't be back.
I had taken my son to the emergency room.
And when I went to restart my vehicle, the battery was dead. Kens came quickly and got me going so that I could get back home.
Had a busted car that couldn't be towed normally, and they not only got the right equipment for it but also transported the vehicle safely when I for sure thought a bumper was going to come off regardless. Very satisfied with the price and the upfront professionalism.
I had a very disappointing experience with Ken’s Towing.
I called in the morning to schedule a jump start around 11:00. When I first spoke with the driver, his attitude was extremely rude, but I brushed it off as just his way of speaking. Later, around 10:20, I called again to move the appointment to 11:30 and assumed everything was confirmed. However, at about 11:10 the driver called saying he was on his way. I reminded him that I had rescheduled for 11:30, but he immediately hung up on me without saying a word.
At 11:25, he called again to ask for my location, and when he arrived at 11:29, he demanded my car key in a very aggressive manner. I explained my friend had it and was on the way. Then the driver shouted at me saying “Excuse me????” and walked away to his car. Once my friend arrived at 11:32 (which is 2 minutes late), he finally did the job quickly and left.
Afterwards, I checked my receipt and saw it claimed the driver had been waiting from 11:00 to 11:30 because my friend with the car key did not show up. This is simply not true. He waited at most 5 minutes. And even if the driver genuinely believed that, the driver and the customer service team should at least be aligned so that customers are not unfairly blamed.
Got a tow from here tonight (25.8.25) via insurance roadside assistance. ETA was 25-55 minutes. Driver called in 15 minutes and gave an updated ETA of another 15 minutes (putting him arriving approximately 30 minutes from original request. Well within the time frame). Arrived and began photoing the vehicle and then loaded it onto the flat bed. Only issue with the driver upon arrival was his choice of divisive head covering. Upon leaving and heading to our destination, driver proceeded to accelerate to 5 miles per hour over the posted speed limit of 70 mph. I too normally look at 5 over as no big deal. It is however a different story when you're hauling someone else's only means of transportation around. That's my livelihood being held down to the back of your truck with some straps and chains my guy. Please, drive the speed limit. Then when he continued to drive 75 mph, even after the speed limit dropped to 65, I truly took issue. We had previously advised the driver that our neighborhood is on a hill with one road on either side and houses in the middle. If he took the road to the right going up the hill, on his way back down, he would have been able to easily back into our driveway as it is at an odd angle. He failed to follow our advise and as such, ended up having to make about a 20 point turn before being able to successfully enter our drive way. Over all, decent tow, but the management of the company should probably have a talk with their employees about some kind of dress code whilst on the clock and remind them that the speed limit is the LIMIT...
It was that day when your car suddenly stops to move , my insurance company got me connected with Ken’s towing service and Chris was assigned to help us . He came though slightly later than the original ETA but made that up for the excellent service and professional manner of helping his customer. Thanks Chris !
Kens west side towing is great i have never once had any bad experiences with them or their service. They seem to always go above and beyond what is expected of their services ...i would highly recommend them if ur in need of any type of towing, lock out or any other services.
Insurance company called me a tow after an accident. The attending KWT driver showed up relatively quickly however he quite sanctimoniously demanded the police be on scene because damage had occurred. Yes you’re right sir, there’s damage and thus the reason you were called. Smh. After explaining that the insurance company had called for the tow, the driver’s awkward condescension continued, so I walked away. He drove away. 10 minutes later the police arrived asking where the extremely aggravated and irate accident victims were. I could only chuckle as I was on the phone with the insurance company as they scheduled the next tow. I told the cop about what happened with the tow company; he was just as puzzled and said never in his years had he heard of that being a requirement as both vehicle owners were present and exchanged information. He told me that KWT made the call to the police. We both could only wonder the reason. He then left without taking a report as one was not required nor requested. The next tow driver arriving on scene began working on towing instead of unsolicited smug comments about police requirements. Long afternoon made longer by the KWT driver. Thanks dude.
The driver Chris Flynn was great in a bad situation. Great communication once dispatched on his ETA. Quick and efficient. Drop off to get my tire replaced was great. Great service overall!
Needing a tow is never a good situation. Let me say that not only was Ken’s Westside a half hour ahead of the eta I was given the driver was very courteous and professional. I needed my truck dropped on a side street In another county,. I was not able to be at that location. I was so thankful the driver did exactly as we discussed. I can’t say enough about the service I received! Too notch driver. Should I ever need a tow again? I will definitely be calling Ken’s Westside!. Clearly, they care about their customer and the service they provide.

Our car was stuck and Chris showed up with a great attitude, tons of experience, and the right tools to get us out (without even needing a tow). Even though it was very late, he was kind, professional, and clearly knew exactly what he was doing. He truly saved the night!

When I decided to call a tow truck it's because I'd made it pretty bad first. Called Ken's and a young man named Chris was send out, he was very kind and respectful. Again I had made a pretty good mess of it and he needed another truck to anchor his truck so Kevin was sent out. Kevin was also very nice and respectful and anyway they were able to get my truck out and even though Chris was there in the cold for over 2 hours he never once was anything but kind.
Would highly recommend Ken's to anyone needing a tow or mechanic work.
It took less than an hour for a driver to arrive to my home in Bloomfield. Driver, who’s name I didn’t get was super nice and took no time to get my vehicle loaded. My car was safely delivered to its destination in Morgantown. Thanks!
Exceptional service in and extraordinary circumstance. A horrible storm caused a tree to fall in my path. My car was IN in the tree. Matt assessed the situation by phone/photos to help determine our best course. It took him 2 hours of winching up the SUV and help from neighbors to chainsaw the tree out from under our car. He was professional, practical, communicated well. The storm caused county wide chaos. He stayed focused, had safety awareness the entire time and assessed the cars drivability after we got it to a safer location so we could make the best plan during a high needs storm where emergency resources were in high demand. Highly recommend!
