On June 13, 2025, my son-in-law’s vehicle developed mechanical issues. I decided to call Ace Towing. Was the first time using their services. Rick ( I believe last name began with an L ) was wonderful! He showed up and had the vehicle on his truck within 30 minutes. We had it towed to South Bend from Laporte. When we arrived in South Bend, he went beyond expected by looking underneath the vehicle and suggested as to what he believed the problem was. Which we appreciated greatly. He was pleasant, knowledge and courteous. His demeanor and professionalism made a difficult night (having mechanical failure) feel less hectic. He took good care of my son-in-law’s vehicle answering questions that we had. I highly recommend Ace towing.
I locked my purse and keys in my car and didn’t realize until the morning. I first contacted Progressive who required a payment in advance but due to my cards being in my purse I couldn’t provide that. I then called a locksmith service that was currently too busy. I searched Facebook reviews and stumbled upon a great review of Ace Towing from six years ago. I thank God my other two options didn’t fall through. Ace Towing was beyond quick. The operator received my information quick and efficiently. The guy that came out was an absolute sweetheart. He not only unlocked my car but also educated me on it. I’d recommend Ace Towing to everybody ! 10/10.

I don't know who the guy was that came but my mom really liked him. She broke down on Johnson road. I saw her right before to help and she was very frazzled.. She said the helped her calm down and talked to her. He had a very nice sense of humor. Also was trying to get drivers to slow down on Johnson. Her house is right by where she broke down on Johnson and can say that people are terrible at speeding and we have lost neighbors because of it. Thank you again.

Good people, good service. This salvage yard is not trying to pull wool over your eye. They will present the part as is and even point potential flaws or areas of concern. I do appreciate the transparency.
I've had a few repairs here and so far Ace has been just fine. Let's face it, car repairs are NEVER cheap these days! I DON'T have car payments . I believe keeping my twenty year old Hondas on the road is a better plan. They will need parts replaced sometimes.
I called Shaw’s before I called Ace and they were very rude. I called Ace and they were very kind and did a great job. Will be using them from now on in the future. I was willing to pay the $20 extra they quoted me at just because of the service. Keep up the great work!

I have been going to ace for used tires for years. Have had great luck with them. They did some work on my ford edge in May 2023, I can't Thank them enough for always keeping me updated, fast work, & the price was realistic unlike other places. I have recommended ace to family they are very happy as well with the work & price.
By far the worst people to deal with. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. I had my car worked on and it came back worse than when I brought it in. I was charged $400 for a 2ft wire replacement. When I got the car back it was still having the same problem. I'd recommend spending your money at a real mechanic shop. These guys couldn't fix a pedal bike.

We had an alternator problem and broke down near the LaPorte exit. Rick was the tow truck driver and a super nice guy. He towed our car to the shop for repair and then dropped us off at the Comfort Inn. Great service!
I didn't actually go inside the business so no idea what that's like. I did however experience their service. One of our 26' box trucks got a flat tire at the end of the day and needed a tow to Shaffer Tire. I called ACE and gave them the job. I headed out to pick up our driver and was shocked to see that ACE beat me to the truck. That guy had to have left his shop minutes after the call in order to beat me. The tow was great, and the truck was delivered Where we agreed. Very pleased to have a company I can just call and not worry about the outcome.
Transmission went out on SUV called them only 25 mins until I was towed home was charged $75 which was less than I thought the guy was very nice and even offered mechanical advice. Thanks Ace
I locked myself out of my car, which sucks :( They were super quick to respond The owners son was the person who came out. He was very courteous and kind, which was really nice since the day was going very ruff. He offered a very generous discount since we are firefighters. I am extremely appreciative of the entire experience with Ace . Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for your kindness
My warranty company tried to arrange a tow for me through Ace. The warranty company covers up to $100. Ace wanted $138 to tow it 7 miles from downtown La Porte to the Kingsbury area. Meanwhile, a company in Grand Beach quoted under $100 to come all the way from Grand Beach & make the tow to Kingsbury so the tow was fully covered. At best, this means Ace is WAY overpriced. At worst it means they gouged the price for reasons I can only speculate.
The people who work at Ace Auto are BY FAR the rudest people I have ever met. I don't know much about cars and they treated me like I was completely stupid when I came to ask about a used tire. To make small talk my boyfriend asked about the cars on the side of the building and the guy snapped "don't ask about them they're here to be worked on!" I will never do business with these people again. AWFUL customer service and AWFUL attitudes in general. I do not recommend anyone come to this place.
