I’ve been in there three times and it feels like it’s 1960 all over again.I walk in and stand there while no one looks my way and when they finally talk it’s with an attitude.There is one gentleman ,if he’s working who will acknowledge you but I can’t think of his name.Im there to buy a part, not to make friends but if I can go elsewhere to find a part I will because they truly don’t want my business.We were all made in his image.Be blessed.
I went to NWI for my first time today, I walked in and was the only customer- a second later another gentleman walked in and the one guy at the counter asked him if he could help him- the gentleman said well “ she was here first” and the guy behind the counter said “ they are other people here that can help her! I stood there for over 10 minutes before anyone said anything to me. But when the other guy behind the counter finally said in an irritated voice, can I help you? And I asked him if it was such a bother I can go somewhere else. I don’t want to bother you when you’re irritated that I’m here wanting to buy a $300 part and he goes. We’re just busy do you need help I said not anymore and I walked out. They made me feel so unwelcome. I will never go there again.
I want to thank the gentleman at NWI for going above and beyond to help me get to very small parts for my vehicle. And they had no power in the building. They are fantastic gentlemen.
A friend of mine who works on my brakes had me come to NWI to buy new rotors for my vehicle. Not only did they have them in stock, 2 rotors were the same price as 1 at the big name box stores. Guess who will never set foot in another one of those stores for parts ever again?

I bought a 2019 jeep wrangler unlimited sport from them on Feb 5 2024 and it needs 2000 dollars worth of work done to it three months after purchasing a 40000 dollar vehicle. The warranty won't cover the parts and labor because the salesman put the cheapest amount of warranty on the vehicle
What an awesome group of guys the only place that had the part i needed and the price also was great. When i was on my way home from Sturgis i stopped in to return the core they remembered me and asked how the trip was i thought that was great . Anytime your in Indiana stop by i know next time i will stop in just to say hello.
Tony behind the counter seems to have trouble with warranty on parts that he sold 😳 I'm done Doing business tired of taking a loss I advise anyone looking to purchase here be cautious ⚠️ about the so called warranty on parts they sell........
I have always had great experiences there , customer service is on point and pleasant people, I pick up parts for my son and if it's something heavy they carry it to the car for me! 5 star quality and service!
Soon as you walk in the door straight ahead ...the Guy has the worst attitude and smart mouth. Just came in to pick up parts that i asked them to put to the side for me and for no reason any question I asked his attitude was the worse. I wanted to help him slide over the counter. If I did not need those parts so bad I would of definitely tried to get them from somewhere else.
NWI Auto Parts is my #1 spot for buying auto parts. The sales staff is always helpful and friendly, the selection is good, and prices are fair. Can you give a cheaper price on a no name brand at the big box stores? Sure. Can you get brand name stuff a little cheaper by ordering online? Yeah, of course. Can you call them, talk to an actual human with years of parts experience, get a fair price on name brand (even OE branded stuff) and trust that if you have an issue, they will stand behind their parts? Yep, every time. Spend a few bucks more and get quality stuff from local business.
Employees need people skills. Love the prices. They are knowledgeable, however, except for the lone female my fiancee and i dealt with every employee on phone and in person was testy and impatient sounding. They have such great prices or i wouldnt deal with them at all and i use auto parts store at least once a week cuz i have had older cars. I would like to use them for everything but they ruin my mood everytime being short and curt. Who needs that.
Great knowledgeable staff, Quality parts, Prompt service. If what you need is not at the Merrillville location 99% of the time
they will have it later the same day.
