I was concerned about an oil leak and I had a trip coming up and they did great at working me in very last minute before the weekend. Then they checked it out and didn't charge me for that which was very kind of them. I had a wonderful experience with them and would highly recommend!!!
They tell u they can’t find anything wrong with your car then you take it home and your dad who isn’t even a car mechanic found at least four or five things wrong that were easy fixes Never recommend going there
While here on vacation I began hearing a noise coming from my truck I couldn’t identify so I started looking for a place with good reviews that I could pay to do an inspection for me to save me from possibly being stranded on the side of the highway going back home to Michigan. I stopped at Shipshewana auto service and was greeted by friendly staff that clearly wanted to help me. The guy that came out was extremely helpful. He was persistent to figure out what the issue was. He crawled under my truck out in the parking lot checking out several possible things it could have been. When it wasn’t any of the things I had suggested he had me pull up closer to the building. There he promptly had my truck up on a jack, tools in hand and was able to find and fix the problem and get me back on the road at no charge. Where do you find service like that anymore!!! What is a girl from Maine supposed to do when her Tacoma decides to throw a belt, loose power steering and has steam billowing out from the hood in Shipshewana IN? She wrestles it down Rt5 and prays in doesn’t crap out at the longest set of lights on Rt 20, and swings into Shipshe Auto!!! I recently moved from Florida and had some serious brake problems. But guess what? These guys came to the rescue! They replaced my old brakes in just under 5 hours, and they’re working like a charm. If you’re having trouble with your brakes, I highly recommend checking them out. They’re the real deal!
We were on vacation in Indiana. I had mom (84) and her friend (78+?) The car was starting to make a horrible sound. I took it to Shipshe Auto at 7am. They took the time to address my situation. They were busy yet they saw My desperation and helped me anyway. It was bad. They committed to fixing it so I could still get my older crew home on time. They even had a rental car so I could still get them around. The car is fixed. They were good on their word and did a fantastic job on the car!!! The price was not any more expensive than if I would've had my hometown mechanic do it. Good old fashion 1000 star honest business. I highly recommend them!

We were in town for a couple days and got rear-ended just down the road from Shipshe Auto. The gentleman came to tow the other guys vehicle and told us to follow him to the shop so he could temporarily fix our tailpipe so we could drive home 2 hours. He was very friendly and accommodating and when I asked what we owed him he said to check with Samantha at the counter. They sent us on our way with no charge for their services. I wish I knew his name but I don't. Thank you for helping us out, especially since we were away from home. They are a friendly establishment and deserve your business.

Having done my own repair on my truck I realize I still had a brake fluid leak. We had traveled to this area and remember having issue with my truck last year when in the area and Shipshe Auto took care of my problem then so I wasn't hesitant to return to then for help. Within 20min. they had made a minor adjustment on a line fitting and stoped the leak. Checked my brake fluid level and returned my truck keys and said NO CHARGE. I have no problem giving a 5 Star review. Thank you.
I was in my vehicle stranded 9 and a half hours from home with two flat tires. After sitting in a parking lot for about 5 and a half hours and dealing with the hassle of a un-named company to get a tow truck out to my location, Brent showed up in 15 minutes after dealing with the hassle of the same un-named company, got my truck hooked up to his in about 5 minutes and before I knew it we were headed to the tire shop. We showed up to the tire shop ready to get everything fixed and back on the road, and to our suprise, the shop was closed. This un-named company took so long to get Brent out there to me, the tire shop closed before we could get there. This absolutely selfless, kind hearted man drove me to his shop and replaced the torn valve stem on my tire at no extra charge so I wasn’t stranded for the night an hour from my final destination. I absolutely without a doubt recommend this shop to anyone who is in need of a tow.
From out of town when the starter in my truck went out. They came by the motel in less than an hour. Quickly diagnosed it. Said the shop was booked full today but could change it first thing tomorrow. They called me about closing time tonight and said they got it after all today and the truck was ready to pick up.
I wish I didn't even have to give a star. This tow company are crooks. A person has pictures of their cab being on their truck and then you go to get your stuff out before your insurance company comes to get in and the cab is stolen. Funny it was just on when I took pictures of it before it got towed away.
I took my truck here with a very weird noise and was told from another garage to fix it I was gonna have to rebuild the transmission with a cost between $1500 and $1800. Within 5 minutes Brent at shipshe auto decided it was a pulley and within the hour replaced it and I was on my way. I would recommend this garage to anyone.
I was coming back from taking my amish friends to Topeka when something came loose under my car. I stopped at shipshe auto and was helped immediately. I knew I was in the right place. He removed the loose part and made it safe for me to get home. He was very kind and assuring. I thanked the Lord for him all the way home. The Lord has His angels everywhere.

If I could give Shipshe Auto Service more than 5 stars I would! I drove into Shipshewana from an hour away for a quick appointment in town. My car was making an alarming sound, so after my appointment, I swung by Shipshe Auto Service to see if a technician could help me out. He discovered only ONE lug-nut was holding onto my front tire, he said it was about to fall off! He tightened and torqued all of my lug-nuts and sent me on my way, at no charge. I was extremely grateful, to say the least!
My son was driving for his permit hours when his car’s engine light came on indicated that the engine was over-heating. A gentleman in a truck stopped and gave us directions to Shipshe Auto Service which was less than a mile away. He said that we would be in good hands there.
He was right. Brent came out to the parking lot and checked out our car and told us what to monitor and check after he filled it with antifreeze. We were back on the road and appreciated his help being so far from home. Thank you!

They were amazing. How to make a pit stop by there Due to a dealership not putting my panels back on correctly. And they were hanging down, dragging the ground after an oil change. They got me in quick, got my car taken care of. I can't recommend them enough for their kindness.
This was the third place I brought my truck ( F-450) they went through it and found the problem in 1/2 an hour. Fixed it next day and gave us a loner to boot. Being from out of town I thought here comes the big bill, wrong did it reasonably priced and supper friendly. Thank God for honest people.
They came to the campground to see what the problem was with our truck. Removed the part dragging and led us to the shop. They ordered the part and it was delivered at 10 the next morning and installed it and we were on our way by 10:30. Great service by Marlin and the whole staff. Very friendly place to do business.
Being from Michigan I was down in the area for business and our truck had some wiring issues and wouldn’t start. Not only did they come tow our truck ASAP but the service and attention to detail was top shelf. Everything was throughly explained and we was back in our truck in a great turn around. We would definitely recommend anyone to them if you should need someone for vehicle service.
Visiting area from Canada and got a leak in my tire. Showed up without appointment at 7:30am. Looks like a busy place but after telling them I was just visiting area they had my tire repaired and i was on my way within 35 minutes. Nicest people too including the owner or manager, Sam on the counter and the mechanic who did my repair. So Thankful and if I lived here they would be getting all my business.
This place rocks!! I am from out of state and my brakes went out! Ask the locals where to take my car and everyone said shipshe Auto. Well I I got a ride they towed it to their shop and in less than a week I had my car up and going on the road with some great mechanical repair! I've had a lot of car repairs and my day and this place is the most professional and best customer service in the Midwest! I sincerely mean that the prices were Fair, the customer service was excellent, and I actually felt like this auto mechanic shop cared about me! I noticed on the wall and the customer waiting area that they sponsor some different organizations in our country and around the world. They're Christian philosophy and work ethic truly can be seen if you have to have work done there. I am so impressed that I will bring my car back here on a 2-hour Drive to have some more work done in the future! No I'm not crazy, but they really do a great job thank you!!!
