If multiple people recommend your business, that's saying a lot. It's more than just word of mouth — it's showing that a business earned trust from their neighbors. That's not easy to do in the world of mechanics.
Jack & Sons came recommended to me by my fiancé who had a rebuilt engine put in his van over 13 years ago. That van went on to run another 200,000 and finally kicked the bucket 2 years ago! Jack & Sons also came recommended to him, and when I called around to other shops, they also recommended Jack & Sons for our specific job.

You won't find any smarmy gross sales-technician people trying to upsell you on things you don't need. Jack and Sons are fair. They do what you ask for, and they call if something is added. I appreciated that.
We purchased an engine from the junkyard, had it installed, and the engine works, but they found the car itself has an electrical issue. They went above and beyond. Called three other well-known local mechanics to look at it to see if it could be fixed. Unfortunately it needs an electrical specialist.
So even though the car isn't in working order yet (it starts but then electrical goes haywire), they exceeded my expectations.

I called looking for a part using very specific details of what is needed and I get the reply asking a question about whether it's something else that I could barely understand. I asked excuse me, which was met with a grumble and hanging up the phone.
Not sure what I expected from an auto salvage in the middle of Greenfield Indiana with incoherent writing on their fences. It was definitely not a mistake to call instead of going there personally.
You're running a business, grow up and act like it.
These fellas have always been there for me when I needed my car worked on or cheap tires whenever they could & are very honest when they didn't have what I needed referring me to other helpful places that did. Thanks guys!
I will make this short and simple I have all my life done business with Jack and Sons and always been treated like gold until the week end of Oct 13, 2023.they need Jack and his oldest son back cause their customer service is the worst I have ever seen they don't deserve 1 star. Don't use them, that's my recommendation to family, friends and public

Very helpful. I needed a replacement side mirror glass for my car. Although they didn't have one for my particular vehicle they gave me the number of three other places to call and one of them did have it. Great bunch of guys and get reasonably priced for their work.
Bought my first car here paid $1200 cash for an 03 Ford escape and left it there over the weekend and Larry had fixed what was wrong with it. It would shake .. once I hit 40mph. And now here I am again a year later with the same problem 😂 been trying to get someone on the phone to tell me what it was they fixed back then and what was wrong wit it. But all machanics there are very nice and helpful. Best believe I'll be calling when they're open to get this car fixed. 🥰

This place has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I dealt with Larry who has to be the rudest person I have ever encountered. I just tried to take back a part that I spent $50 on that did not work so I am just out $50 because they do not do refunds. Larry needs to realize that I am the customer and whenI say it doesn’t work it doesn’t work. He also needs to learn how to talk to customers. I will tell everyone not to buy from him because he doesn’t stand behind what he sells. Word of mouth is a very powerful thing
I have dealt with these guys (due to more affordable prices)several times and do not recommend. Larry is very unprofessional scolding other employees for selling a part for the supposedly wrong price. They change prices like the wind and pretend to not know anything about it(a lot of scamming). Larry is very dishonest and does not hold up behind the work done or the parts and is extremely rude to customers and employees. He states you want It fixed it will be another x amount of dollars even though should been included in work done or something he broke while fixing other work. I haven't had any issues with anyone there except with Larry. I haven't had any problems with the few used parts i got but shotty work(not fixed right) and scams on costs.
They are really helpful and willing to put my motor in my Dodge Ram pickup. I would go here if you need any parts and they will help u as much as they can. They are also really nice people

Got a part for me I could not find anywhere else and pulled it quickly. I also saw how they Interact with other customers and they treat everyone like they do each other.
Also referred me to a good local eatery, Carol's so I could wait more comfortably
I do not recommend using this business......not only have they lied about testing their parts, they provided 2 bad transmissions and refused to refund our money after they could not produce a working transmission. They then referred us to their brothers shop with the promise of a working transmission and they installed 2 bad transmissions as well. Stay away you are better off going to a real shop and doing a rebuild.
The service is always very personable. We had an issue with a part that was being installed and they were great at explaining what needed to be done to get the job done right. I really appreciate their honesty, pricing is super too. A+
