I was incarcerated for 52 days. The people did not care about that. They did not try to work with me. Nothing they were very rude. The lady that answers the phone was very disrespectful. They tried to charge 300 bucks just to get your stuff out of your automobile. Very unlawful. And I give no kind of way to help you retrieve your automobile back. It's either you pay their fee, or else they actually more unlikely sell it.

Anyone who sees this, do NOT have them tow your car. The front office ladies are extremely rude and they don’t charge what they actually say they charge. They never let me get my personal items from my vehicle, WHICH IS ILLEGAL!! Genuinely a laughing stock of a business and should practice professionalism a little better! They are lucky they haven’t gone out of business for their malpractice and horrible customer service.

The woman who I spoke to was extremely rude on the phone when I called asking about my father’s vehicle after he was in a car accident. I know customer service jobs are hard but a little compassion goes a long way

Some things this company…and more importantly “the customers” should be aware of…if they have towed your vehicle they are required to provide you an itemized invoice. And if you’re the owner of a vehicle they’ve towed, you’re entitled to inspect the vehicle during regular business hours, WITHOUT PAYING TOW/STORAGE FEES, and collect your personal items from the vehicle. IN Code § 24-14-5-1 (2024) Sec. 1. (a) An itemized invoice of actual towing charges assessed by a towing company shall be made available to the owner of the motor vehicle or the owner's agent not later than one (1) business day after: —————— IN Code § 24-14-9-2 (2024) Sec. 2. A towing company or a storage facility shall not do any of the following: (2) Refuse to permit: (A) a properly identified person who owns or holds a lien on a motor vehicle; or (B) a representative of the insurance company that insures the motor vehicle, if the vehicle is covered by an active policy of insurance; to inspect the motor vehicle during regular office hours before all costs incurred against the motor vehicle are paid or the motor vehicle is released. An inspection fee may not be charged for an inspection that occurs during regular office hours.

Called to see how much it would be to get my grandpas car back and the lady who answered was very rude and said they couldnt speak to anyone who wasnt the registered owner - never heard of this before. You'd think the receptionist would have more customer service experience but clearly not based on all the other reviews.

Edit… most definitely not a scam this place is the scam. They do everything they can to try and keep your car. When we 1st walked in the 2 ladies we’re laughing and talking to a tow truck driver about how it’s only been four days and they have someone’s total up to over $7000! They think it’s funny. And they even comment back rude?! They say people leaving a review are scammers but as you can see so so many have said the same thing. Weeks, months even years apart so who is really the scammer? Word of advice, DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! Started off rude to me on the phone when calling about my car. Would not even let me get my house key out of the car until I paid. I was trying to pay them. They would not let me pay until I verified. It was my car over the phone. They told me I needed to bring in proof of insurance my drivers license, and my title Then when I get there, they tell me they need my registration and not my title. Told me a total over the phone. ($248) which I repeat it to make sure. Then charged me $287 said there was another fee added when I asked what for she said she just added it and I again said why and she replied it’s just added. We get there and they are rude from the start being snippy and hateful, soon as I walk in the door. They ask for registration which was in the glove box where you know, normal people keep them. Guy swears up and down it’s not there even though i know it is since I had just been to the BMV recently. They then ask us to log into my bmv to get a copy. As we’re logging in they are mocking us talking crap from the other side of the window. My sister sent the link which she made a mistake and it went to the wrong place on the site. Fine, cool just need to screenshot and send which takes two seconds. Nope, that’s not fast enough. They start talking crap again saying how she needed to hurry and then says “she’s just mad because she doesn’t want to play by the rules” my sister pipe up finally after the verbal abuse and ask them to give her a damn minute. Yea she shouldn’t have cussed but they were being unprofessional and unreasonable. They threaten to have us trespassed and threaten to not let me have my car after the fact. What they failed to realize is that I was on the phone with my boyfriend who had conferenced AAA in for the whole conversation. AAA was dumbfounded by the treatment and is letting them know when they pick my car up they will no longer work with them. How do you get a job with the public and treat people so poorly?

This is not a reputable establishment, in my experience. I wouldn't recommend anyone voluntarily use this service and I'm sorry if you're forced to deal with them due to the police dept calling them to the scene of your accident. My father was in a traffic accident and Greenwood Wrecker was called by the police dept. When we tried to get my dad's truck with the number they gave my dad at the scene of the accident. They said they didn't have his truck. Then, 3 days later, they said they found it, so apparently it had been misplaced??? Once it had been found, they said it would be $750 just to retrieve the contents of the vehicle. We still have not been given access to the truck to retrieve my dad's personal belongings.

Not really sure what all these negative reviews are about, I just called and let them know that I’ll be in Friday to pick up my truck that was involved in an accident in Greenwood, the lady on the phone was incredibly kind and explained everything that I needed to bring with me - proof of registration, drivers license, declarations page from my insurance showing full coverage insurance & claim number - Will follow up if I have any problems Friday, but I’m not expecting it

This pace is a NIGHTMARE! They are a flat out NUTS! Not allowing taking personal stuff! Charging ridiculous fees! Rudeness and Unprofessionalism is just a start. They changing their word on the spot! Fabricating reasons not to give you your car or your personal belongings just to drag the cost of the bogus STORAGE fees to the sky high limits!!! I wish they go out of Business because they definitely deserve it!

Very rude from the old lady… she was very controlling and won’t let me get the register to show proof to her. She and the old man couldn’t even find my registration yet I told them where to get it. I had to pay 300$ for a day yet thanks to that mean greenwood police officer who won’t let me talk to aaa because I would have to take it to my personal shop to fix it. By far, the most corrupt Wrecker I've ever encountered. Our vehicle was towed there. We came the EXACT SAME DAY to recover it. We provided every single piece of verification information they requested, although it was beyond obsurd, and they still held our vehicle simply to steal storage fees. They "required" a lease agreement, and a notarized statement from the lease company to verify it was our vehicle... when we provided that info, they then insisted that it was tampered with our of nowhere! Worst company ever.

One of the drivers helped himself to a nice set of Coach sunglasses. They said they didn't take them because they have cameras. No, you don't have cameras on the side of the road inside other people's vehicles, you have them in your lot we know. Then they threw up this theory that maybe the cops stole them...right. The police seem to be your bread and butter, not very wise to try to blame them. It's just lip service anyway, tow companies are never held accountable for anything.

So a friends car was impounded here which is fine however you definitely think the customer service would be better sinceit’sGreenwood hthat NOT THE CASE AT ALL! Extremely rude people from the time you walk in to the building & leaving. There is no need to be so rude and act better cuz our car was towed in. We don’t have a problem with paying for our service to get our car out of tow! I just feel the older lady and her son should treat others how they want to be treated! This is definitely not the case. Every business always has some kind of bad review but NOT all bad reviews unless you are just absolutely horrible at your job & customer service is the first thing ppl look for when they walk into the door of any business!! The operator said that they worked for AAA while speaking to my child on the phone they took her debit card information I got to the scene the wrecker got to the scene then we are informed that it’s going to cost around $300 for a 3 mile tow and that they are not affiliated with AAA I kept speaking to customer service reps that I could not understand that would not help, that “canceled” the tow (which still showed up), but still made my child pay $125 because they did not tell her that they were not AAA nor were they affiliated with AAA. I did speak with a man and a woman on the phone that I could understand however, both were very rude. Neither one helped one of them said that AAA would pay her back for the tow which is not true very dissatisfied that they are going to take $125 from my minor child right before Christmas. bravo

I was going to leave it alone, but the audacity to think they're getting paid a dime after stealing all my documents and personal belongings is insane. IMPD, Attorney General, and my lawyers will now be getting involved to shut this thieving operation down.

Imagine getting into an accident, having to get your car towed, handing the keys over to the driver and then getting a text saying they lost your key. You're then told it's a $500 charge to get your own belongings out of your own car, and when you call the company to figure out what's going on the receptionist lies to you, gaslight you, accuses you of losing the keys (they already admitted to losing), then when you push back they hang up on you. Why? Because you were "cussing and yelling", even though you have video proof that you were being professional over the phone. Deplorable company. Go else where, no need to support companies who lie to you and try to charge you to get back items you already are owed.

Tiktok blasted the poor customer service skills.- correct people don’t work for free, but do you think she asked to be in an accident and have the car towed/stores by y’all? That charge should be handled with insurance as when the vehicle is sold or or removed from your property. Providing validity to owning the car to simply remove items from the car as the vehicle they may never get back, instead of charging them as if they are removing the car. Have compassion and reasoning if you were in her shoes. You wouldn’t want personal possessions to be held hostage for an accident you didn’t ask for? That’s what auto insurance is for. Whole story or not, you are further refusing one’s property on the basis of a service she did not ask for or request.

How does an officer witness a key not only being IN possession of a tow driver but also being used to put the vehicle in neutral to tow the vehicle, yet the keys never made it to tow lot? And all management can repeat is that there is a “board” to put all keys on, as if human error doesn’t exist; implying that there is NO chance that the tow driver lost the keys before they even made it to this said board. The zero empathy on that phone call was enough to know that this is not somewhere people should bring their money to and many people here are making other potential victims aware of that. Google reviews are not FOR the company, they’re for regular people to beware others of bad/good service therefore simply being a WITNESS to your company’s awful customer service still warrants a review. Train your employees better. Mistakes happen. No company is perfect. But owning up/showing empathy/or even working with a customer to find a solution through accommodations, etc, is what makes a company a good company, not the lack of mistakes they make.

Called and was told 3 items I needed to bring to get my vehicle. Arrived with these items. Was told by the lady at the front counter an ADDITIONAL 3 items I needed to go get. I swear they do this on purpose to increase the length of time they keep your vehicle and charge an extra day's storage fee. Impound lots are notorious for making their money via scummy business practices. This place is no exception. I have had a few run-ins with this business, all of which were shady.

So after being in an accident my truck was towed almost 4 miles to their lot. And in order to get all my tools and personal belongings out of the truck these pirates said you have to pay the tow bill in order to do so. 365$! For 4 miles. Crazy!!! Not to mention it took 2 days of calling to get an answer. When they did finally answer the lady was very rude. I wouldn't use this company if my life depended on it. And if your in an accident you better get all your stuff before they tow it.

I went and got my car with no issues. I read the reviews and I was terrified to go but all I got was a woman doing her job. She even smiled a few times but I knew that I had to follow their policy and that’s that. I understand she may sound rude over the phone cause I didn’t know how to take it but again she’s doing her job. In all actuality she’s helping us! I was happy and pleased I only did 4 stars because I had a bug in my car lol

They were disrespectful, unprofessional, and a bunch of scam artists. The lady who owns it got snippy with us when we questioned why a lien was filed at 10:30am on a Monday. Because I wrecked my vehicle on a Saturday, they got me on storage fees because they don’t open until Monday. They added a $120 fee with absolutely no reasoning and when we confronted them about it, they only gave me $45 back. AAA said this is very unusual and they should not have charged me for the Mechanic lien. Overall, I hope I never have to deal with these people again and shame on the Greenwood Police Department/Johnson County Sheriff's Office for using these dirty nasty people.

I was not able to retrieve my personalized license plate and a tow driver circled around my truck a couple times almost hitting it possibly trying to intimidate me? Got the run around on my plate as greenwood police didn’t understand why they didn’t release it since everything paid and car was to be totaled. Trisch took my registration and now it seems to have disappeared and if I want I can check with the owner she says. Why would he have it and why would a owner have to take care of something so trivial when he is paying people to do this. I would recommend asking to be towed by any company other then this one if at all possible

Going through a rough time after a wreck and getting wrong information from the insurance companies, who knew the Wrecker Service would be the most positive experience I had. :) Very happy with the office Lady helping me out and even staying after close for me. My vehicle was even towed home from them and I had the best tow truck driver that showed my 3 year old the equipment and he was in heaven. Most positive experience I have had in this whole ordeal. Thank You.

Was told to bring ID, claim number, proof of insurance, and registration and could get our belongings out of our vehicle. Brought all of those and was told we could not get our belongings out of the vehicle. Was told would be called when the insurance company came for the vehicle and was not. Heard from the insurance provider that they were told by Greenwood Wrecker Service that we did not bring all 4 required items when we did. Made a second trip to Greenwood wrecker service and the vehicle had been moved the previous day. We live 30 minutes away and had to shift our work schedule to make these wasted trips down a vehicle. Service could be improved by following the guidelines framed in the office.
