So nice to visit a "right sized" salvage store! We were travellng from Ohio to Illinois and my wife asked to make a detour to Madison Street Salvage. Glad we did. The staff was friendly and helpful.... We bought 2 items for our family. If you are in the Indianapolis area with with some spare time or, just like salvage stores, then consider visiting them. Madison Street Salvage is in Franklin Indiana.

What a cool place! A dream if, like me, you happen to be obsessed with light fixtures. They have AMAZING lighting. Lots of hardware, doors, glass shades, as well as unique furniture and all kinds of odds and ends. Prices range but seem very fair to me (some items are professionally restored and they have some truly impressive pieces, but then also books, antique hardware, and costume jewelry in the $1-5 range). I picked up a gorgeous lamp at a great deal. Staff was helpful and super nice. I live an hour away but will come back again to look for more treasures.
Great selection of antiques, collectibles, furniture, hardware, and items of historic interest. Since this is the retail arm of a nonprofit historic preservation organization, most items for sale here were either salvaged or donated, but that doesn't mean they're junk -- this place consistently has some of the most unique and jaw-dropping pieces I've ever seen! From vintage jewelry to antique surgical equipment to midcentury modern chandeliers to full-wall Victorian sideboards, you can find it all here. Stock rotates regularly, so it pays to keep an eye on the website or social media to see what's new.

We had two pieces of antique furniture restored. They look brand new now. Dennis does a great job!
A wonderful place to find treasures! We drove from three hours away and were glad we did. The staff was friendly, extremely helpful, and they even gave our dog a treat and some pets💕
I didn't see anything I needed to buy, but I really enjoyed looking around at all the cool things they have to offer. I'll definitely come back when I start working on my house more.

This is the most fun place to go andcspend time looking around. Love it you can find some really cool things here. Nice people running it too very helpful if you have questions.
Great store. Absolutely packed with merchandise. No deals to be had here...but they do have many sought after items. Lots of furniture, lots of lighting -- some very expensive and exotic lighting too. Perfect place if you are restoring a very old home. Lots of old wood, doors, door knobs, etc.
I drove in from Cincinnati yesterday after hearing great things about this place and was super impressed with the selection! Christine was very helpful and answered any questions I had! I will definitely be back.
They have a large selection of things to look at. Great prices too. We bought a rocking chair for only $45. You can go online to check things out also. We have been there several times. Nice place to look around even if you don't buy anything.
Used to love this place and stopped every chance I could when passing through. They had a nice selection of light fixtures and other antiques for very reasonable prices. Now prices have almost doubled since we were there a couple months ago. Some light fixtures are over $1000.00 All items are donated to them. Probably won't be stopping again.
I have been wanting to check this place out forever. So many cool things here. I loved seeing all the old doorknobs, doors and windows especially. The furniture was beautiful. They even have pretty knick knacks. And the books and record albums were nostalgic. There's even a small jewelry selection. So glad I finally stopped in.
What a wonderful experience! The team was so helpful! There is so much to look at! You will definitely find something you need, that you can't live without, at a price that says "buy me now!"
My husband and I both love this place. We like it because everything is in it's original state. Great place if your redoing a older home and looking for something orginal that needs replaced, you just might find it there.
Highly recommend! They have a great selection of odds and end, very nice staff and very reasonable prices.

We were down in Indy and decided to stop at this place based on what they advertise on Facebook. Didn't see anything there that was advertised, but didn't get any help either. No greeting or offer for assistance. The place was wholly filled with old, sometimes interesting stuff, but nothing I haven't seen elsewhere. Cool collection of old doors and door knobs. The place itself is well put together and the area is very nice though.
We were in a couple weeks ago for the 1st time. It was awesome. I'm looking for a craftsman front door which is pretty wide. Wider than most. I'll keep checking back. 5 stars would have been easy if a Craftsman 36 wide were in stock. 😀
This place is so amazing and how great they preserve history by keeping old history alive by reselling everything for older homes. They even have a wood shop! Love this place
This place is great and the people are fantastic. They are saving a lot of quality things from being trashed. Their prices are great and all they want to do is help and be friendly.
Unique and ever changing inventory. Restoring an old house or just looking for accent pieces,you are bound to find something that you MUST have. The employees are friendly and exceptionally helpful. Prices are crazy low on some of this stuff. Go before they realize it!
