Don't confuse these guys with Geist Auto Sevice which is a very good repair shop. Geist Truck and Auto may do certain things well, but my experience invloves a transmission replacement. I purchased the truck from my neighbor, who had it replaced here around 6000 miles earlier. It was erroring and he said to take it back to Geist Truck and Auto, who did the replacment, and they would be able to fix it. I paid for a diagnosis and here is how it went. The transmission was failing, It lost 3rd and overdrive gear. It was just out of warranty and would need replaced again to the tune of 5k. After only 6k miles. I declined and went elsewhere. What the next shop found was the unit Geist Truck installed had chinese parts. Also the overdrive valve was failing. Here is where I am upset. The previous owner was working through the overdrive issues and Geist Truck said this is normal. It was in warranty then, so they should have repaired it. It is NOT nornal. I had a 30 min conversation with the owner who gave me a nonsensical talk about how much of a transmission expert he is. I respectfully disagree and suggest you find someone else for your tansmission work. They may do other things well, but my experience says you can find someone else for your trans work and be happier for it.

When my hubby's 2003 Chevy 1500HD needed major work, and my 2014 Chevy Impala LT was on deaths door (true story: at the time I'd had it ONE year, yet my prvs mechanic messed up a simple fix so profoundly I was ready to torch it)...
Keith & crew swooped in like superheroes. But, like, the cool kind; that don't get enuf page-time.
Anywho!
My hubby trusts Kieth & crew explicitly. He's adament that he'll never take his heart&soul [aka: truck] to anyone else.
(that's saying something, BC he loves that truck more than me; FACTS. Buuut, ye-ah.. I'm ok w/that .. RFL)
And even tho "sedans" aren't in their "name" . They treated my vroom-baby like a queen, fixed her up properly, & sent her home struttin like a supermodel. It was like magic!
Heads up tho!
Bring your thick skin AND sense of humor. Keith is % professional! But he WILL tell ya like it is; sometimes so low on the sugarcoating, your dentist might send him a "thank you" card. (haha)...
But Keith & crew will also treat ya with respect, give ya facts with no frills, and budget-conscious options.
As long as YOU show THEM the same respect THEY show YOU... They don't care about race, gender, creed, etc... I don't have enough facts to know if it's a "safe-space"... But I do know it's honest, authentic, and rich w/ integrity; you'll feel like Fam.
If you're chill, can toss in a little sassy sarcasm, and get him talkin... Keith'll have ya crying with laughter... Bet!

Customer service is top-notch so is the owner, Keith who goes above & beyond! Keith made sure our two vehicles were correctly fixed. He helped us avoid the unnecessary A/C repair as suggested from other shop. A/C was working FINE! He also recommended us to bring our SUV to the dealership for a bearing recall service. Highly recommended!

Can I give them 10 stars? I would certainly do so. Superlative customer service, never better! Keith and co. did a front to back diagnostic on both of our cars, explained to us in detail what was needed and in what priority. One item in particular was an issue with the tire pressure sensors. They replaced them, tested them, and when there were still problems with them, kept at it until they were in perfect working order. Kudos to your entire team! Would not hesitate to recommend them.
I'm not going to lie, I have tried several times to have work done here but usually another shop is quicker to get into.. I wanted to wait it out to write a review because I always hear good things about them but yet I have never been able to get a car in there.. a couple years ago they inspected my car for some exhaust work and told me they would write me up an estimate and no response for a few weeks. (They were going to replace a section of exhaust and bolt it in so no welding required because I dont think they do welding here) So I called and the lady said my paperwork fell to the bottom of the stack and she would remind them to get a hold of me.. couple more weeks and no more answers to my phone calls..anytime I need work done to my cars I call and most of the time nobody answers, and a lot of the time they do answer they are booked too far out. Which I guess that means business is good, so clearly people still like it here.. But I never have luck even getting my foot in the door so I'm calling it quits. The other Geist Auto repair down the street has treated me really well and thats where I will stick with.
Keith always goes above and beyond and makes sure your vehicle is properly fixed at a good price, uses quality parts and dealer parts if cheaper. Never a complaint. Any work I can't do, Keith is a go-to for sure!

Just had my 2009 Honda Odyssey EXL worked on by these guys. I had spent way too much Time trying to figure out what was wrong with my van. Was getting some misfire codes and could not chase it down myself. They figured it out in no time and got me back running in a day. Plus they are really nice and honest and actually care about you. Big win!
Stopped in and had my Transit van checked out because it sounded like it had an air leak. They found a loose hose and tightened it up and refused payment. Little did they know that I have a fleet of seven vehicles that they will be servicing from now on. Thanks for having the integrity that it takes to run a business.

Didn't come away feeling as good about experience as I had in the past. They've got some staffing issues and are not taking emergency dropoffs anymore due to parking lot restrictions from landlord. Stacy scolded me for the drop-off and unscheduled repair. They got me done on exception basis this time within 7 days and delivered like a champion, but said no more unscheduled tow truck drops, must call to schedule. You should tow to your house and wait or another shop that can help you first. 5 star for workmanship but 1 star on customer relations nets my 3 star rating.
This is an excellent auto repair & service center. I've used them for multiple vehicles including the replacement of wheel bearings and for oil changes/scheduled service. They do a great job at a fair price.
The only drawback is that they are a little hard to find! From Olio, turn onto Commercial Drive by a big white warehouse type building with a red stripe painted on it (this is also near two big water towers). You need to go to the back side of the building through a gate in a chain link fence to a large parking lot, and they are located on the back side of the building.
Somehow a negative review of Geist Truck and Auto got posted under my name. Not true!! A neighbor recommended them to me last year and I've used them twice for service on my '99 Ford Ranger and couldn't be more satisfied. Caring, friendly people and they know their stuff. 5 stars for sure.
I have taken all 3 of our vehicles to Keith for the past few years, and have been so happy with his service. He does a thorough check of your vehicle, but doesn't recommend unnecessary work, unlike what I had just experienced with Napleton Hyundai. There is a reason why Geist Truck and Auto is crazy busy. I’m relatively new to the area and didn’t know who to turn to when my husband needed help with his car. I called several highly rated places listed on Nextdoor, Google, and Yelp before calling Geist Truck and Auto Service Center. The *OTHER* companies turned me off by using scare tactics (e.g. if you don’t do x, y, AND z then this will definitely happen...when only x is necessary) or quoting me absolutely outrageous prices on the product we needed (I can do research on my end as well with AC compressors with the car VIN number...no company X it doesn’t cost that 3x that amount). SO...it was such a relief when I talked to Keith at Geist Truck and Auto Service Center. He gave me a very realistic (according to my research) and not over inflated quote. He never once tried to sell me on Y and Z things when I just needed X (air compressor). We took my husband’s car in to get a diagnostic test. Keith called us BEFORE he moved forward with the fix and discussed what he saw. He even asked if we’d like to come into the shop and he can show us while the car is on the lift what exactly is wrong. I loved being able to see what the problem was and get a breakdown of why it was happening. I knew I wasn’t getting fed a bunch of BS like other companies that didn’t show evidence to support their conclusions. Within 24 hours, my husband was able to get a new air compressor for the AC system and drive off the lot without any problems. They are genuinely the most honest, reliable, and trustworthy guys you could meet. There’s a reason why you’ve got to call in advance and make an appointment to get in - because everyone wants to use them! Thank you so much Geist Truck and Auto - you’ve found lifelong customers!!
This place is awesome! Keith and co. are pretty quick when it comes to diagnosing car issues and they always look for the most cost-effective solutions while not tacking on imaginary problems to pay for. I am always told the issue(s) clearly before they check in to give me some options for next steps. As a college student who commutes I hate car trouble, but I know I don't have to sift through bogus claims about what my car needs when I bring it in here.
If you are looking for an honest auto service center, look no further. At another auto place just down the road, I was made to believe I needed new front brake pads. I thought about getting a second opinion so I brought my car here. They did a thorough inspection and lo and behold, I didn’t need new front brake pads. I am pleased with the fact that Geist Truck and Auto service is honest and don’t focus on just selling something that is not necessary. Look for Keith, he will take good care of you. What a great customer service.
Fantastic service, friendly staff, and very competitive prices! I took my Equinox in today to get new brakes. They quoted me almost $200 cheaper than any dealer or chain car shops on the north side. They installed quality brakes and were a joy doing business with. They even rotated my tires at no extra cost. Everybody should consider using them before getting any car work done. Ask for Keith

They are far and away the best shop I have ever dealt with, and I am fairly knowledgeable myself capable of doing some of my own work so I know enough to tell a good job from a bad one. Went above and beyond. Explained every last detail. Never tried to upsell or over charge. Gave me a quote and came in under. They were able to replace my water pump the next day at 500$ cheaper than the dealership and I didn't have to wait a week! Customer for life.
You guys are awesome! My truck the other morning was shaking really bad when I reached 30 mph and I called Geist Truck and Auto Service Center hoping they could fit me in. I spoke with one of the owners, Sandy and she was wonderful! They were very busy and still told me to drop it off, they replaced a U-Joint and had it ready for pick up after a couple hours!

Just amazing! These guys did a great job on my Toyota! They were very friendly, I even talked to the guy for a good 45 minutes. They didn't tell me I needed "this and that" replaced. They did tell me what I will need to replace at some point. Awesome experience, thank you guys!
