They towed both my daughters and her friends car. Demanded cash only and charged both of them different amounts. Seems funny that they ONLY take cash and have different amounts for everyone. Only 1 reason someone would only take cash from college kids. Losers

Staff is EXTREMELY RUDE and they lurk around to find cars to tow. I cannot tell you guys how many door dashers vehicles have been towed by nyes just for DOING THEIR JOBS. I’ve seen a lot of tow companies but this one is one of the worst ones. EVEN WORSE they’ll charge outrageous prices just to line their pockets. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS TOW COMPANY THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER!!!!

Fast and Friendly! I've used Nye's service several times over a couple of years and I'm very pleased with them. Most recently my 12 year old locked my keys in the car. Both the woman answering the phone and the driver who unlocked my vehicle were so friendly and professional. I had my keys in hand about 10 minutes after making the call. Definitely recommend and will use their services again!

I called for a tire repair and change. Ricky was prompt, well equipped and got the job done. The dispatcher was super nice as well. I hope I don't need to use them again, but I'll definitely call Nye's if I need to!

I need a couple of vehicles taken to scrap yard. Lady was very helpful in getting that done at a reasonable price! Drivers came out and got job done with no hassle. Will definitely call them if anything else comes up!!

So on Kilgore muncie, lane ends, they changed this awhile ago, plenty of signs. A tow truck, just cut me off with no notice, room and if I hadn't braked would of hit me.

Quick courteous service. Driver was friendly and took our safety seriously.

bro tried to tow my car because i was apparently 7 minutes over the time limit for the parking space and then demanded I pay 100 in cash to have it not towed?? but apparently they charge college kids whatever they feel like because they’re losers

Called here after having an unpleasant experience at northwest towing . Dannielle was so kind and gave me a great price for towing a box truck .. driver was amazing aswell .. 5 star for both customer service and price

Looks like Nye's and Ball State Parking have a "negotiation" where they claim they only take cash from the kids when their car gets towed then charge whatever they feel like. They did this to my son and charged him $160 to tow his car from ball state parking lot and made him walk a ways at night to get cash. Reading other comments, looks like they are pocketing the money themselves

Never go here. NYE initially agreed to $125 (it was ON THE RECEIPT) for the tow, but were trying to charge me over $400 for the service. My mom called them and they cussed her out and said they would leave my truck in the road. The owner and the front desk lady should not be in the position they are in. I had to pull hair to get my damn truck back. Trust me when I say they are BAD NEWS.

Unprofessional, sleazy, corrupt!!! My vehicle was towed from a restaurant parking lot near the Ball State campus this past Friday. 90 minute parking location. I was gone for 90 minutes and my car was towed the guy on the phone said I was there longer than 90 minutes and his proof was the guy watching the lot writes it down. No cameras or anything with a date & time stamp on it. $125 to get my car back after I call a cab to get to this sleaze bags location and of course they only except cash. How convenient a cash only business that can't provide you any proof of an over limit stay!!! Just tow your vehicle and get to watch them smirk as you pay the bill.... A big eye sore for Muncie.......

This company stole our car. They towed my wife's car away from a parking lot, stating that it was there longer than the 90 minute limit. Luckily, it was my day off, so I was able to pick up my wife and head to their office. There, all the evidence they had to offer were two phone screenshots timed 81 minutes apart, and one of them didn't even show our car in it. They decided to let us drive the car away and not pay the $150 fee they wanted. The boss stated "we all know you're ****ing me". Well, takes one to know one, doesn't it. The car seemed to be undamaged, so at least they get a two star for that.

So my sister came to my apartment for an hour at most and they came and towed her car because there was no sticker. However, when we looked there were other cars without stickers but they were not towed away. And when I called to get information the lady who answered started laughing at me. The person on the phone was beyond rude. It makes sense that Middletown Properties uses them because they are both awful companies.

I used them to tow my car when i was stuck in the middle of the road blocking traffic. They showed up exactly when they said they would (20 minutes) and the gentleman that showed up was very professional, kind, and fast. I hope to not need their service again but if i ever do i would 100% call them again.

I have a 2013 Volkswagen Passat and these guys were super prompt when my car broke down out of town. They were cheaper than the rest of the services and also when they did get here with my car, first of all, no damage, and the guy who was driving the wrecker even backed my car into a parking spot which was a pretty difficult process. He was very experienced very nice and he pretty much gave my 4-year-old a show! When we initially called to get an estimate on how much it would be the lady who we spoke to was very informative and was compassionate about our situation. Thank you guys!

Rude as they come. Don't have an ATM on site but only take cash. Closest ATM is about a mile away and I had to walk because they towed my car. And after all that I felt like an inconvenience to the employees due to their what must have been a 'thrilling' conversation just an incredibly frustrating and expensive experience

Nye's Wrecker is awesome. Barb is always nice to deal with and Steve one of their drivers is also great. Picked up my car with little notice and dropped it off the same day. Great service.

If you want your car towed even though you have a prominently displayed parking permit then you will love this business! The towed my car with a permit and then returned it damaged. The workers were rude and couldn't answer any of my questions. Please don't support this incompetent business.

Had a great experience with Nye's! They came out quickly to help one of our elderly clients who was having car trouble. They offered a fair price and went out of their way to accommodate her. Cody was very personable and helpful!

They prowl on college kids (parents) to make a quick $75. Daughter was 5 minutes past 2 hour limit --no kidding! And they were hooking it up already. That's a company that doesn't have enough work to do. Understand why they only have 3.2 stars. Hope they can sleep at night!

125 dollars to pull people that had been blown off the road on an icy patch 3 feet out of a ditch. The only reason I wouldn't say one star is the gentleman operating the winch was polite and understanding. The people in the office were rude to my wife on the phone as well. I would not use this service, (or northwest towing for that matter, they were even worse) unless I had exhausted all other options.

I would like to start by saying we all have different experiences and I am only qualified to talk about mine. Someone that means the world to me ended up off the road on her way to work on the morning of the 17th. I have three plenty capable 4x4 rigs that could have done the job, yes she probably should have been in one of those rigs but she likes her Sport Ute problem is, front wheel drive is good, but wasn’t ideal, for this this particular morning. I was already en route to my destination and it would not have beneficial, nor feasible, to turn around and go to her. The choice was simple. I will never again contact the company that is the top suggestion for towing companies in Muncie, per Google recommendations. I’ve dealt with them before and never again, never. I called Nye’s to take care of this situation. Within minutes of calling them they had radio dispatched a rig en route to her destination. I’ve always done self recovery to date so I didn’t really understand their whole process, timeline, cost, stuff like that. It was explained to me clearly. The only issue, if you can even consider it one, is it took them a few mins longer for them to pinpoint her location. That is solely because they were relying on me for that information, which in turn I was receiving from her. My calculations were of, by quite a bit actually, About 3 miles roughly. That may not sound like much, a simple u-turn, and your back on track. But when you factor in the cost of the rigs they drive around, it’s huge. Their time is money, and their business is on wheels. Everything went smooth as anyone could expect in that situation. At the initial conversation I was given a loose estimate of what it might be in an ideal situation. I realized because of my miscalculations they spent another 20 mins of their time. I called in later that morning and explained I realized it was close to ideal, but not quite, and I was willing to make things right. He declined. They understood That I was going in the opposite direction and relying on someone who just went of the road For a location. That there, if nothing else, should tell you the kind of company they are. He could have added any amount ,within reason, to the bill for the extra time but didn’t and I would have happily paid it. Happily simply because the way my transaction and experience with them went. How things went smooth and stress free. If you got to the end of this you should realize what company I will call next time, should the need arise. Thank you

I had actually called a different local company first and ran into a terrible, rude dispatcher - no way was I dealing with anyone like that. I was stressed enough! Nye's was next on the list so I tried them. I got an immediate answer, a quote and they actually showed up earlier than expected. Quick, efficient, no complaints from me. Saving Nye's number for sure and recommending Nye's to everyone.

I was technically 12 minutes over. My fault completely. I believed I parked at noon and went to pick up my vehicle at 1:30. I was informed I parked at 11:48 and was promptly towed at 1:18pm. They towed the jeep- that's their job- they earned a star. However, I called later to inform the owner/manager that she may instruct her drivers to give a 10-15 min window of lenience- especially if the jeep has car seats for infants/toddlers. They stranded my wife and two children in 80 degree+ weather. Guess what- Ubers don't usually have car seats, so we had to walk short of 2 miles in the heat with a 20 month old and a 1 month old. Then I was informed they weren't lenient because they couldn't be sure if a car over 90 minutes had been there for hours or days...though they were able to quote me my stop and tow time to the minute. They proceeded to blame the businesses that hire them for the strictness. When I told her I'd call them so they could change the policy, I was told because I visited multiple businesses in that time span (some listed some not), that I was further at fault. Here is where I have the biggest problem- I explained the sign said 90 minutes of parking for patrons of those businesses- so does that mean I have to spend all 90 minutes in the business or risk getting towed? The owner accused ME of splitting hairs, the same owner who instructs here goons to tow on the minute. Vultures. Pure and simple.

Hey these guys are of been awesome. I have not had to use a wrecker service with in the last 10 years but in the last month I’ve had to call three different times.Every time I’ve called they have been right there to do the job right the first time with the least amount of stress and headache. Thank you to everyone at Nye’s wrecker service I appreciate everything you have done for us.

Was in a wreck that made my car undrivable. The team at Nye's was friendly and helpful throughout the process from initial towing to retrieving my belongings. If you have any issues, just call the office! They explain everything clearly and quickly. One suggestion would be to post the hours when the office is open, it's a little confusing that Google calls it a 24 hour place but office is not always open.

We have used Nye's Wrecker Service for years having cars removed from our rental properties/apartment complexes. The service is always fast and friendly and we would never have a reason to consider using another company. Thank you for making an unpleasant experience easier on us.

Yesterday I was driving home and my car broke down. I needed to get my car back to my house so I called Nye's. I wanted to know first how much it would cost. I called and the woman I spoke to was very rude. I told her that I was broken down and needed a tow, but I wanted an estimate on how much it would cost first. She refused to give me any prices up front. She said I had to give her my location. I did not want to give my exact location because I did not want anyone to come tow my car yet. She then got mad and said she had to know because she didn't know if I needed to go to Indy, or elsewhere. She was nearly yelling at me. I said I was in Muncie and the distance would be an estimated 2 miles. She still refused to give me an estimate price and continued on that she needed to know exactly where I was. I told her nevermind I will find someone else to help me. It is such a shame that this company gets so much business from the Ball State and surrounding area. I called Northwest Towing instead and they were very friendly on the phone and in person. Would definitely recommend Northwest over Nye's just based off customer service.

Be careful if you get towed. The rates are not posted, and their charges are ridiculous. The lady is very rude, make sure to call in first before you come. Other than that, the old guy releases car is very nice and professionally kind.
