Hello, happy day, I am a legal resident and married to an American citizen... I was at your facility to sell a quantity of mixed aluminum, after weighing the car on the scale, the official asked me for identification, I showed her my work permit card and the same person who helped me demanded where I should present some document that proved I was American!!! I checked on Google if the person is a resident, tourist, among others, as long as they are legal, they can carry out the transaction of the aforementioned material... In short, the person in charge at the front kicked me out of the place in what I consider to be a racist act. Take measures to better serve people!
My Husband and I are scrappers, we have been here many times. We love to see Katie at the window when we pull up. She is always very helpful and friendly. We have seen several people be extremely rude to her and she handles it very well, never getting rude or disrespectful. People take things out on her that she has no control over. Katie is the best, We give her all the credit for handling those that choose to act like idiots to her with a calm and cool demeanor. We have found all the staff there friendly and helpful, we enjoying taking our stuff there.
I brought in roughly 400lbs of copper and the first thing the very rude old guy said was whooah that's a lot of brass in there. (4,. 3" T fittings) then proceeded to tell me I will only get dirty brass price for my whole lot. Never again will I bring my business here. I took my scrap to NEWCO METALS instead. Don't let omnisource scam you out of your money
I will never return to this place . . EVER. They close earlier than their posted times, then yell at you. Nasty. Worst experience I've had in a few years. Life is too short to do business with people like this.
Been a few years since I've scrap anything and I had 6 window a/c so I called to see what I needed to do to scrap them and the guy on the phone said I could tear them down and bring them in so I did and go figure I was told I couldn't scrap them because they was tore down like WTF you wasted my time and if I was someone walking and had no means to get to Hartford city scrap yard I would be out my time and money. So don't be expecting me or anyone i know to come there. Shout out to Hartford City scrap yard. And thanks for nothing Omnisource.
