this compost center in Angola miscalculate and make you pay for air inside the gaps of your trailer. I talked to the head man and he said too bad that’s the way it is go use the another facility.. Their workers called me a liar. That’s not how you treat customers. I’m a full-time resident of Steuben and I’ve never been treated so badly in my entire life. All I can tell you is something stinks at this facility And it isn’t compost
Disrespectful employees. Tried to drop off some lightbulbs from work. I was told to tell them to invoice the company. They refused to do invoice and wanted to charge me $20 instead. When I told them I wasn't paying for it, they intentionally broke several bulbs in the back of my car.
Very well maintained facility. The attendant located at the “little brown cabin” was friendly and helpful. Cost of dumping seemed quite fair. I highly recommend this location for disposal of common household, garage, basement, shed “junk”.
You can recycle household chemicals, electronics and more on Fridays from 8a to noon.
They have it set up like a drive up and drive through. The staff unloads your items out of your vehicle so you don’t have to do anything. It was great and they are so nice.
I learned that it’s a tax payer funded program for the surrounding residents in the community.
You can also take other items like brush, grass and leaves. They have 24-7 bins for recycling plastic and cardboard. Definitely worth using this program!
I had a great experience dropping off a ton of electronic printers, computers, towers, and monitors. They unloaded everything for me. I'll be coming back again!
