Got into a wreck roughly 8 hours from home that left my car undrivable. Tim’s sent a tow for us quickly and efficiently, and everyone we interacted with was so kind and sympathetic. They did a great job of keeping myself, my roommate and our beloved dog comfortable and safe throughout the whole process! Highly recommend.

Refused to tow a hybrid vehicle. Not sure if he doesn’t have proper training or just doesn’t like fuel efficient vehicles.
Very frustrating as there were no other providers in area and I had to leave my vehicle overnight. Hopefully I can get another professional tow driver tomorrow.
This is a long review but the headline is: DO NOT ENGAGE THE SERVICES OF TIM'S WRECKER SERVICE!
I cannot speak to the repair garage portion of Tim's, nor can I speak to their towing service for broken down cars. I can, however, speak to their practices towing and storing wrecked/totaled vehicles. Those practices are unfair at best and predatory at worst.
After a wreck, my car was winched from a ditch, towed 1.3 miles to their lot, and stored for 48 hours. The charge for this? $1,100. In addition to the roughly $550 in winching and towing charges, there were another $550 in questionable surcharges, including a $150 administration fee. How much administrating is happening in a tow garage?
You're then given the option to instead sign over your title and PAY THEM $200 to scrap your vehicle. And, of course, who isn't going to do that? To avoid their overinflated bill you're forced to give up the money you'd get from scrapping, the one consolation in your crummy situation.
It seems the business model of this particular company in this particular situation is to exploit desperate situations, knowing customers really have no option but to be ensnared. You're given no estimate before engaging their service and by the time you find out about their unscrupulous business practices, it's too late. In addition to relying on the desperation of their customers, I'm sure they also rely heavily on people not even looking at their bill if it is being covered by insurance.
I left this transaction feeling violated and stupid for allowing myself to be to essentially screwed over. Surely there is a more honest wrecking service in the area, do yourself a favor and do business with them instead.
Tim's Wrecker Service did a great job of getting my vehicle unstuck under less than ideal conditions. They made it happen. They have my business in the future. Thanks for the help!
The city of greensburg Indiana had my brothers truck towed after breaking down. Tim's hauled it literally 5 minutes down the road and had it at their lot for around 9 hours. They charged him $300 to get his truck back. They were nice, but that is a ridiculous amount of money to tow a half ton truck.
Tow Truck Driver was a really nice guy. Very professional and I can tell that he enjoys doing his job. Since it was a non emergency tow (from mechanic shop to my house), He told me what he had to do before coming to tow my truck and gave me a time frame when he would be there. Then He said he would call me when he was 15 minutes away so I could meet him up there with the keys. He made sure that my day wasn’t wasted waiting on a tow truck like other towing companies I’ve dealt with in the past.
Excellent service! Car broke down with my daughter driving they came and picked it up, fixed it and i had the car back in less than 2 days. Highly recommend.
Top Notch service! Our college-age daughter was driving to a nearby camp from Cincinnati (an hour away) when her car broke down near Greensburg- 10 minutes from her camp destination... 8am on a Sunday morning. We live 2 hours away in Dayton. We contacted Tim's, and within 10 minutes, they had reached our daughter and towed the car to their garage. By 10am Monday morning, they had diagnosed the problem and ordered parts. They were in regular contact with us and had the car fixed and returned to our daughter at camp by Tuesday afternoon. They were VERY friendly, professional, and fair with their pricing. They helped put our daughter at ease since she was unfamiliar with the area with a broken down car and went out of their way to get the car fixed in a timely manner since we couldn't be there. Very much appreciated! Very highly recommend them!
My car had a sudden flat on the interstate near Shelbyville and there were no AAA services in the immediate area. Tim’s was dispatched to help me, and it was taken care of quickly and courteously. I just happen to already be a Tim’s customer for my car’s oil changes, so my prior good experiences with them made me feel very comfortable in a potentially scary situation.
Our son was traveling from IN to OH and thought he had a car issue that needed to be serviced or towed over 100 miles on a Sunday evening. Tim drove over immediately to where our son was located, evaluated the car, assured us everything was fine and provided superior service and great peace of mind! Incredibly thankful!

This was the most pleasant tow truck driver I have ever encountered. He had me on my way quickly. I didn’t even realize how far he had to drive to get to me until being behind him for the next 30 miles on the highway. I highly recommend this business.
I can not express enough how great these guys are. Had a really bad experience coming back from a camping trip.. flat tire and a 30 minute conversation with my insurance to which told me I needed to find my own ride for my toddler and 2 teenage daughters.. I had sat on the side of the rd 1 hour and a half. A simple phone call to these had my children off the side of the road in a matter of minutes and they were able to throw another tire on my truck and we were on our way. I would give them 10 stars if I was able. My family were all very appreciative as well. Thanks again to all the people that we encountered there.

He was amazing, and so laid back, & is someone I would actually call directly and pay out right, instead of free through AAA, just so I could be sure that my car would arrive safely, with no issues, and no drama. They are very honest and treat like a friend that has know you for a long time. Fixed my honda civic and it's running so much better. I would recommend them to anyone I know for their vehicle repair and needs anybody sees this should really give them a chance great bunch of guys working over there

We are some of the at-risk people me and my wife we were stuck inside we need to go to the grocery store but our car battery was so old and it set for so long that it was dead well Tim's was going to come give us a jump. But I got them too bring a new battery and change it out instead. The technician went out of his way to allow us to stay in the house and take care of the battery, made us feel very safe. I thought that was great. Well we finally went out and looked under the hood I never thought anything about it I just thought I'd get just a battery and it was a top quality Interstate Battery. Anybody will treat you with respect when they have to. Only highly professional people will treat you with respect when they can take advantage of you instead. You guys are great at what you do thank you from me and my family
Broke down on the way home from Ohio to Indianapolis. 71 miles from home. Called multiple places close to my location and they were the only ones that answered the phone. Careful with my car, very timely, and they got me home. On Easter Sunday. Price was a little steep but not too far off the mark, especially given the length of tow, holiday, and quick response time. Thank you Tim and your driver who was very good, polite and easy to talk to for over an hour in a tow truck with a stranger. If I could give you guys 6 stars I would. Thank you.
Amazing customer service, they truly went above and beyond! I was on my way for a weekend in Cincinnati when my car broke down not far from this shop. He towed my car to his shop, then drove my daughter and me all the way back to Indianapolis! He even helped us carry our luggage back into my house. Truly sweet man who cares about his customers. If you're unfortunate enough to break down, hope that you're fortunate enough to do it close to Greensburg!
Amazing staff. My foreign car's engine leaked near them, and they hauled my car and had the parts imported over night. Very reasonable prices for fixing it as well. On top of all this, they took the time out of their day to drive me to a hotel and recommend local eats and activities for the night I was in town. Truly an amazing group of workers. I'd fully recommend them to anyone!
I got a flat tire on the highway called Triple A they sent out Tim to come pick up my car. He was there within 30mins loaded my car on the flatbed in no time. He took care of me also his grandson came back the next morning to take me to a shop to buy a new tire. Great service A++
We're went sure this was a garage because the parking lot is full of cars that look like they belong at the dump. However, the guy who owns this place a super nice and knows what he's doing. Took us by surprise. He fixed our car through warranty company and did an amazing job. Didn't charge ridiculous prices and has a really cool dog and funny cat that are on property. Would go back to this guy and his garage anytime.
