Asian guy behind the counter weighted everything I brought as regular metal including copper, brass, black iron ect. And gave me not even $100. Will never go back

Been here a few times with hefty loads of copper. Quick and easy. Smaller operation very easy to work with. In and out in 10 min. Was very happy with the price they paid for my copper every time. Would absolutely recommend them. I live down the road from lemont scrap and go out of my way to take my business to this scrap yard.
Quick action! First visit and wanted to try them out. Lot is relatively well kept, unloaded myself onto supplied carts, they weighed everything, I got paid and done deal. Took a second load same day. Highly recommend for small time scraper/homeowners.
The manager/owner is a snake. Twice I had to correct his math. Always to his advantage. If you want lessons in poor customer service please come and visit him. Very abrupt!
I go here because it’s close by my house, they pay you pretty decent for the price of metals, I would of gave it five stars if the owners were not rude, they do not know how to talk to there customers in a positive way, only in a negative way like you are one of there workers, I didn’t really know were to back in to unload and they started talking with a attitude to me and I told the Guy if he don’t correct his attitude towards me I will never come back to this place and do business, he realized I was serious and that he needs his customers business to be able to stay open, so he corrected his attitude and I still do business with him but I don’t forget of how he treated me when I was a new customer.
Drove in. Unloaded quickly weighed everything got paid and out very quickly. Lockport recycling pays you a fair amount for your scrap. They do not low ball you for your metal.
Stopped by today to drop off old rims, pc, multiple cords/wires and two small batteries. Easy, quick and cash in my pocket for stuff that's just been sitting in house & garage.
Nice place. I have been here several times. *Not* just a giant corporate yard that the small scrapper feels lost in. I feel that they are honest and pay a fair price, but it's a scrap yard. Dont expect red carpet service, it's basically a junk yard. They gave me a bin to unload all my steel into and then put the bin on the scale. Then weighed out my most expensive metals separately (copper, aluminum). Yes, I did have to unload my own scrap into the bin, but I prefer to do it that way so the more precious metals dont just get mixed in with the lesser value scrap. All the workers had surgical masks on to help prevent the spread of covid-19 and the workers were fairly friendly, especially for a yard crew. They then brought the money to me while I waited in my car. Scrap prices are low, so dont expect to walk out a millionaire. The trade war with China has weakened the Chinese economy (one of the biggest in the world). It has decreased Chinese formerly huge demand for metal, thus driving global scrap prices lower. Prior to the trade war, aluminum cans were about 50 cents a lb. Now its more like half of that. Thanks Trump.
I'm was at so many different places with scrap metal and believe me this please offer the best price for clean metal no matter which one if u have clean aluminum brass or copper u can get the best price for
I go to this place all the time. It's close to my home and always getting the best price. The people here are always friendly and take care of you in a timely manner.
I go there because there's no other place around. The owner and workers are extremely rude and have no kind of customer service. Zero respect given to the patrons.
Love this place! Everyone is friendly and prices are always fair to reflect the market, just ask the owner, he’s always willing to explain why prices are up an down. That’s just how it works it’s like gas one day up one day down. I go there multiple times a week as well as everyone else that works for our company. So everyone with the bad reviews about getting ripped off needs to realize it’s junk, you’re not gonna get rich off it. I will continue to take my business here thanks for all that you do guys!

Their prices are fair. Sure I might be able to get a better price at another scrap yard, but that's money for fuel and time. I'm satisfied with this location. I come here for work and personal scrapping.
I love it, the other comments are hilarious because you can tell those people most likely have never been to a scrap yard. The price of metals changes daily fyi, but I love this place! The Asian dude is awesome to me and will negotiate and agree on pricing before my.metal touches the scale. 5 stare not only that he shells out the best prices in my opinion.
Took an all aluminum engine to them plus some old car parts, rotors, and such. 535 pounds of aluminum at 8 cents a pound, got $43. Didn't even cover the cost of the truck to take them there. This place is a rip off, do NOT use their service.
