If I could do negative stars I would. 1 star is too high. The lady was short tempered, rude then accused me of not telling her what my box truck was on top of charging me triple the quoted price. She sent a massive semi truck tower for a 5500lb box truck when I told her the exact make and model of my vehicle while speaking as of she's some kind of overlord giving me orders. A total joke
I own a tow company a couple hours away from Shaner's and I was passing through with my 5th wheel camper and had a tire issue. Shaners went above and beyond. The whole crew was so friendly! Definitely made a bad situation better and that's what it's all about in our business! Definitely a first review for me for another towing company but it's well deserved! Thanks!
These are some of the kindest people that I have ever had the pleasure of purchasing a service from. Me and my girlfriend were locked out of our car 100 miles from home in the middle of the night and this was the only company we were able to get a hold of. They were there within 30 minutes and delivered extremely efficient service upon arrival while being extremely kind and personable. 10/10 would lockout again.
Most irresponsible and ridiculous business and people. I booked a budget truck reservation. When I reach there, they say there is no truck available. They should’ve called me that the truck is not available at least a day in advance so I can make alternate arrangements but they did not do that and they completely blame it on budget.
Budget reservations told me that they’re not aware of this and they will escalate this, but I think the business shaners towing should be responsible to inform the customer. Absolutely pissed off because I have movers coming a lot of travel arrangements made, and everything is dependent on this truck then they should’ve at least inform me in advance. Don’t ever do business with this company.
Place was extremely un welcoming and unwilling to hear readon concerning personal property on what was an unreasonably high tow bill of less than 2 miles. Would not recommend.

I had a reservation to rent a budget truck this morning. I arrived 30 minutes after they should have opened and no one was there. I had to call their 24 hour towing line to get someone to come open the store. Once they arrived, an hour after they should have been open, they did not even have the truck I reserved.
These guys were great when I broke down in my Motorhome. I am from another state and had no idea who to call. These people went above and beyond in finding a place to get it my RV fixed. You couldn't ask for better service from a tow company. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again if needed.
I admit it. I messed up. It was 55° today so I wanted to burn some of my old military documents and other paperwork. The guys did their absolute best to help me get my SUV out of the mud. 2 tow trucks, a bobcat and strategically placed cables got my vehicle. we let the car get to low on gas & AAA sent Shaner's to help us Long story short, the driver saw that we had a lot on our plate & instead of loading us up in the truck & hauling us to the gas station he offered to take the car & fill it himself, thrn deliver it back It has been a long time since we have seen incredible customer service like this Our life is hard & this small gesture changed our whole day Small things can have a big impact & this was huge for us. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They were able to quickly fix my tire and even stayed late to help me out. They made me feel safe and taken care of. They will definitely be the ones I call again.

EXCELLENT service. We were 12 hours from home and got a flat. They were there to tow us within 20 mins, gave myself, my husband and 2 kids a ride back to their shop. We were in and out in about 30 mins. Will definitely use them again if were back in the area and need someone. Tow guy and all the shop guys were amazing people.
I needed new mower tires put on wheels. I called about 2pm on a Friday. They said no problem bring them in & someone will put them on. I go right there & she said everyone had left for lunch. She said they would do it when they got back & she would call me when done. She said they were open till 6. No call back. At 5:30 I called. A man said the gal I spoke with was busy & that they wouldn’t get to my tires until Monday. No apologies or explanation. I needed this done before the rain & just wasted my only window of getting it done before the rain. When I arrived to pick up my stuff, it was right where I left it untouched. There were six people sitting in the office. I thank them for their lack of service. I do not recommend Shaners They obviously do not care about their customers.
I’ve used Shaner’s 3 different times to move my toolboxes, I’m a repeat customer for a reason. They are very professional, courteous and always do a very good job. Today, the driver, Nick even helped me get my tool boxes over a lip to get in my garage. He definitely didn’t NEED to do this but helped anyways. Very thankful!!

I used my AAA membership and Shaners came out to help me. They gave my battery a jumpstart. Chandler even brushed off the badly corroded connections on the battery. Excellent response time. Very professional and great service! Definitely recommend them!
I called because I had something in my tire. They were there in 15 minutes. It couldn’t be plugged had to be towed. Tow truck there in 10 minutes. Stayed with me until my husband arrived. Dispatcher was very nice and made sure I was taken care of. Very helpful great service. Felt safe!
We were in an extremely difficult situation broke down on our way home, still being 5 hours away with a toddler and a dog, a scary situation no one wants to be in. The team at Shaners towing was amazing and made a terrible situation feel so much lighter. Not only got our car to a dealership for repair, they also made sure we got to a motel safe as well. We couldn’t have been any more blessed to have people who cared and helped out when we needed it most. Thank you for everything. Please please please give our driver a bonus for the kindness he showed to our family. We will forever be grateful for you guys, and will save your number for if we ever need it in the area again.
I have never met a kinder shop, everybody was helpful and quick to help. God blessed us with these people. After hitting a deer and getting stranded, we didn’t know who to call. This company picked us up and took us where we needed to go, fixed up our truck, and we were back on our way. If you’re in desperate need, or just need work done with no tricks or extra work done, this is where you need to go. God bless these people.

Unfortunately all these nice reviews didn’t happen for me. I felt taken advantage of, taking them one truck less than a hour to pull me from the ditch with a 10,000lbs load, charged me $2600. I’m feeling misused the next morning is why I’m warning truckers in need in the Springfield area. Tuxhorn was $580 a hour, is why I was shocked at the price I paid which was told to me at the end of the job. I should have been more patient and waited. Probably would’ve saved almost 2k.
We broke down just outside of Decatur this evening and Shaner’s could not have been quicker in coming all the way out and towing us and our vehicle back to Springfield. Their driver was even kind enough to offer to drive us to our door after dropping the car off at our mechanics. We had already made other arrangements but the earnest and generous offer was greatly appreciated. They kept us warm and got us home on a below freezing night and we couldn’t be more grateful for their services.
Also Max the dog was a pretty rad little dude.
My truck broke down in Springfield and within five minutes, a Shaner's flatbed drove by. I flagged down the driver, Thomas, who was more than helpful. He immediately agreed to help with the situation. He moved my truck off of the busy road and set it down in a safe spot. Probably, the fastest, least expensive tow I've ever experienced! I hope I don't need a tow again anytime soon, however, if I do, I will use Shaner's again!
Shaner’s in Springfield has the nicest, caring and helpful people working there. They helped me by towing both my truck which wasn’t working to the dealer and also allowed me to park my RV on their lot (providing me with water and electric ) until I was able to hear from the dealer on how long the repairs were going to take. It took me a few weeks to get someone from home to help me go back and pick up the RV and Shaner’s made sure my RV stayed safe. I was a female alone on the road in desperate need of help and Shaner’s kept me safe and helped finding a place to have my truck repaired.
I can not express how grateful I am to them. I highly recommend their services. They truly care about people.
Our tire was flattened when we called Shaner's. The whole experience could not have been better. We called a bunch of repair shops, all of them said they can't replace the tire before Monday. Shaner's towing service came, called their repair shop and told us they can do it today. It got done within half an hour. Friendly stuff, low cost of service, amazing experience. Could not recommend enough.
I cannot say enough good things about Shaner's Towing. I was moving from Illinois to Texas last week and the trailer I was hauling had a blowout at almost midnight.. No other service was able to help me. I had to leave my trailer on the side of I55 to get a room and rest. I received a callback from Shane and by the time I woke up, they'd already towed it. They fixed me up and I was on my way the next day. The price was more than fair and the customer service made me feel like a member of the family. Red, Shane, Beeny, and Dax-the resident emotional support dog are absolute angels! Thanks a million for all you do! Highly recommend this team!!
