Towed my car from a parking lot that was not marked as private property or as a no parking zone and had no merit to tow my vehicle. Then, I was charged $275 for less than 2 hours of holding my vehicle.
Driver came out and got me back to the shop for repair, was stranded out in the middle of nowhere 30 mins outside of springfield, and even took me to a hotel after dropping off my van at the shop! Very thankful for them going above and beyond.
Not only did they tow my car illegally from a parking lot adjacent to where they were towing other cars at the fair, but they are rude, unprofessional and very unhelpful. I would not use their service and I am also reporting them to the Better Business Bureau
2 weeks ago my car needed towed to my house. It was 8 minutes away. Andrew delivered the car and even offered to buy the car off me because the wheel fell off. Upon delivery to my driveway, Andrew claimed to be a pro and let my car roll backwards off of flatbed into my drive way. The car rolled off the truck into my garage door!!! The door is damaged and now no longer operates correctly. I tried to be nice in the situation, because I was already stranded with my vehicle. My garage does not work correctly now. Hopefully they reach out to me with some option to remedy their mistake. I paid them $75 to tow my car 2 miles and smash it into my property and leave.

THIS COMPANY WILL TOW YOUR VEHICLE AND NOT TELL YOU ABOUT ANY OF THE HIDDEN CHARGES. I CALLED TO TRY TO PAY MY BILL THEY WILL NOT LET YOU DO PAYMENTS OVER THE PHONE, WHILE I WAS TRYING TO GET IT SETTLED THEY STARTED TO THREATEN TO HOLD MY VEHICLE FOR NON PAYMENT AS I WAS TRYING TO PAY THE BILL. THEY CHARGE A CREDIT PROCESSING FEE THAT ADDS $10 PER HUNDRED.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THEM TO MY WORST ENEMY.
Horrible customer service. Had hidden fees that weren't explained until they had the truck lifted. Won't take payments over the phone, won't invoice for payment, Credit Cards cost an extra 10$ per hundred. None of that was explained anytime I had called. There are 50 other tow companies in town unless you plan to pay straight cash use a different one.
They make hurdeds of dollars to tow people's cars they parked my car next to a pile of rocks and I couldn't use my door to get inat least show common courtesy!
They were great. Not only did they come tow us when other tow companies in the area couldn't be bothered, they recommended a mechanic that finished the job on got us back on the road. Everyone involved went beyond the call of duty. Gotta love 'small town' hospitality. Thanks again!!
Northside towing was awesome!! I was on the side of the highway when my jeep broke down. Called and Kevin Smith Jr was there in no time. It was also fairly priced for needing towed all from springfield to Lincoln illinois. Kevin was very professional and made me at ease about a very stressful situation. I would always choose Northside towing over anyone. I was very pleased.
Just like Dalton stated, they pray on people in their moment of crisis. No human compassion or morals of fair practice. From the moment they are hooked up to your vehicle, you're now in their control. They'll make up extra fees. Get it in writing what it'll cost before they are attached to anything of yours. I had an extra $97.50 administration fee, total bill came to $887. Take every step necessary to avoid this family business of robbing people in their moment of need.
Lady in offfice denied access to our vehicle to retrieve keys, medications a wallet and a cell phone.
They said it’s law they are allowed to keep them!!!
This I a lie! We called Springfield police department and they stated they CANNOT HOLD ANY PERSONAL PROPERTY BESIDES THE VEHICLE ITSELF
Thank northside for saving me..i called a diff tow company like an idiot and waited over 2 hours...i called North side they got me in 15 minutes. Plus took to to the bathroom before getting me home..so i didnt pee myself....Thanks so much Northside..i wont go anywhere else anymore..ive learned my lesson
Watch out for the $ 97.50 admin fee they charge check with the police dept first about it ...got the car back and they left the sun roof open and the cars used the inside as a litter box.
