I left an irritated phone message with 3 F bombs in it. I then got in touch with the company. Upon reviewing the message I got a catty phone call about my message. If your employees wouldn't have made mistakes and gas lit me the week before, I wouldn't have gotten mad. Calling back to lecture me was incredibly unprofessional.

Worst company ever in my 30 years living here city just switch to them and trash pick up is poor if you have one two bags in top wherr the lid wont close all the way they wont pick it up wont to charge you more for extra bin but if you put the kitchen trash bag in your own bin set it next to theres they still wont pick it up wont to xharge you for extra bin to be droped of with there name on it or if you put one bag trash next to the bin still wont pick it up worst company ever the village should have stayed with the other company thats been diong

I notified them that I was moving mid November 2025. They continued to bill me despite my calling again and sending emails about the continued billing. They said the only documentation they had about cancellation was an email on Jan. 5th in which I disputed the billing. They sent me a bill for an extra month because the dumpster was overloaded well after I moved, which I had no control over. I offered to send proof of my move and new owners moving in on Dec. 1. They weren't interested. They continued to bill me for Jan. And Feb. and refused to reduce the bill for Dec. and Jan., or the extra month charge. I am a 66 year old retiree on limited income with disabilities that prevent me from continuing to work. THEY DON'T CARE. This after four years of never late payments . I advised them that since they couldn't help me I would take my argument to social media and maybe even press releases. To this they said I was threatening them. My response was that I was simply following through.

Absolutely useless business. Charged me for the month and the deposit. They dropped off the can on Monday. She told me my pick up day was Wednesday. I place my can on Tuesday when I get off work. So far two Wednesdays in a row they claim my can hasn’t been out. She gets an attitude and says they have photos but I can’t see them. I took photos too. Im livid. I have to move the can to get in my driveway but they can’t seem to dump it. Paid too much to look at the can that they won’t empty. Wonder if the neighbors are being emptied. I’m about to be really demand they pick this can up. I’m sure there’s other places to go through.

Service is good, people are friendly but....Took out my mail box (new driver) offered a free month of service $60. That does not cover the cost of replacing just the mail box the mounting bracket or the address marker. Still waiting for them to "repair it"

It was poor to fair service until I went to cancel them. They tacked on all kinds of fees and charges after I sold my house and left. Beware of their greedy, un-agreed upon billing. They are shysters! Just know, even if you were a good customer who always paid their bills on time, they will hit you with a toter pickup fee at the end :). What a joke! I tell you where they are going to stick that last bill....

This company has horrible customer service. They screw their customers over just so they can make more money and their services are crap to begin with. If you try to make a complaint to the office they are of no help. They just say there isn’t much they can do about it. The owner must be a real money hungry narcissist who obviously doesn’t actually care about the customers. Definitely cancelled my service with them and went elsewhere. Fair warning, don’t waste your time or money on them. They don’t deserve it.

I recently found out that thier billing policies equate to the first 3 months you pay for being a deposit....that you don't get back. You're essentially buying the trash bins but they aren't yours. As far as I concerned this is simply being screwed over right from the start....not that they care. Supposedly they do this in case you skip out on the bill or take the cans. I'm sorry but is just wrong. Add to this the fact that aren't upfront it from the start. I see it as dishonest because they aren't listing it as a fee (an unreasonable one at that). Like I said it's not like they care. If another trash collection company picked up here I would dump this company in a heartbeat. As I despise the way they do business. Again, not that they care.

Superb, fast,, local and really nice people providing excellent customer service. Pricing and policies are quite reasonable and service is very reliable! If you have a choice for service, choose DC.

Had issues with other trash services, decided to switch to DC and I'm SO glad I did. Customer service was above and beyond anything I could expect. Courteous, helpful and ready with a solution. Very reliable service. Will recommend to everyone I know.

We have had DC Waste for 2 yrs now and have never had an issue. Customer Service has always been available and is Friendly. The Garbage is picked up on Time and Jon the Driver is very Friendly and even Leaves Bones for the Dogs!! Great company!!

Been with DC Waste since they started in October 2015. Service is superior to any other trash company. The owners are great people. Amanda in the office is very pleasant and knowledgeable. Our driver takes good care of us. Highly recommend them!

I had called a few months back and spoke with Jamie, she was very helpful. Answered every question I had and got me set up with my services and the auto pay set up. The company has been great! 10/10 would recommend to everyone!

I've had a 2 yard with them for about 2 years now and never had a problem other than when I've forgotten to make my payment but they was always very helpful to get it back on track and serviced very quickly

Absolute one of the best family ran companies I have ever encountered. The drivers go above and beyond, the employees are truly amazing and they care. The family puts people first which these days is a lost mindset. Amazing company and I highly recommend.

I previously lived in a town contracted with DC Waste. When I moved in 2022 to a town that allows multiple providers we considered our options. After speaking with Kristen we chose to stay with DC Waste. Being a customer for 15 plus years our experience with DC has always been consistent. I pay my bill and place my toters five feet apart every Wednesday night then they pick up my trash early Thursday morning. I have no idea if Kristen is still with them or not because honestly I never need to contact the office. It’s a simple reliable service.

This is the rudest most money hungry service I have ever dealt with before. The manager refuses to call back and the office worker just makes more digs for more money for anything. I discontinued their service and they want another $48 to stop the service! Then threaten collection when I questioned this action. They must be broke because they want to squeeze Pennie’s and are nefarious in the process. They are NOT NICE PEOPLE TO DO BUSINESS!

Worst trash service I have ever been forced to deal with...the town I live in put them under contract and we are forced to use this company. After a couple years of using them and listening to their drivers cussing while picking up the trash , I forgot to move my cans out 1 time. I saw the truck pass me by, I called the company and told them I had hurried and put the cans out , could they ask the driver to swing back around and grab my trash. I could still see the truck !!! Instead of helping, she informed me that they offer one courtesy pick per house hold and she would have him come back around. He did come back past my house , my cans were out and he didn't stop. Later she calls me back and tells me that because our town is under contract they don't offer our town a courtesy pick up ! She said if I want the guy to come back it will cost me an additional full months bill ! I will dump this company as soon as I can ...Sanders was so much better !

This company has picked up our trash every week at the same time until this week. 1-2pm trash pick up to 6am. Not acceptable. We will find a new company. The driver wants to complain about how close together we put our 2 trash cans but then drops them on their side when he leaves. The man that answered the phone had an attitude and the driver is petty.

Drivers are horrible. They like to play games and this is causing the business to look bad. The company needs to communicate better with them and go out on runs with them. Yes they will do better that day but if you follow them to see what they do might help.

We cancelled our service with DC waste due to cutting my pick up to every other week. I called to ask if there would be a price adjustment since my service would be cut in half or extra bins to hold my trash awaiting pickup. I was essentially told that I was wrong and that I didn’t follow the standards or rules for pickup, i.e the lid wasn’t closed all the way and that I had extra trash outside of the bins that needed picked up. I was never contacted and told I was breaking these rules, let alone telling me about them. Then I was told that I could pay the difference for extra bins which all in all my bill be would over $70 a month for pick up due to my need of extra bins but again my pick up was being cut in half and I would have no where to put my trash. It sounded as though they wanted to cancel me as a customer but didn’t have the gumption to just tell me. It felt very passive aggressive in my opinion. He also, thanked me for my wife leaving a one star review and that he would have to go and respond to it. Again passive and he sounded irritated for his own poor customer service. I will say that the best customer service did come today when I cancelled the owner told me that they could pick the bins up on Monday. I asked if they could be picked up today(Friday) and he said sure. Bins were picked up (by a kind man who treated my wife better than anyone else had) with in two hours. Best cancelation decision of my life other than cable.

I have never received such foul customer service…and I don’t mean foul because of the smell. We got a nice “courtesy” call from the company, letting us know that we would only be getting trash services twice a month, rather than every week. Okay, that’s unfortunate, but surely they lowered the rates, right? Or offered an extra tote to help with the extra trash that will build up during the off weeks? Absolutely not. No, the customer does not matter for DC Waste. We already dealt with higher prices this year. I spoke with Jessica, hoping to clear up what must have been confusion when my husband spoke with her. Surely they must be offering some sort of compensation to the customers? Instead, she refused to answer my questions, rebutting with a script-like set of about 2 responses, the first being that it is incredibly generous of the company to let us know about the screwing over, and the second being that we can go find trash services elsewhere. All I wanted was for her to speak to me, human to human, and answer this question: “Would you, as a customer, be happy if a service wanted to charge you the same amount but take half the service away?” She answers questions worse than a politician. Not even a simple yes or no could she offer me. If Netflix took away half their library and kept the same price, there would be an uproar. But I should be grateful to have gotten a phone call. Oh, and you’d better not have a trash bag preventing the lid from closing all the way…they’ll charge you for that, too! For what is supposed to be a family business, they do NOT care about local families.

Used DC Waste for a roll off container recently. The reps were kind and helpful, answered the phone right away, were quick to respond to emails, and overall couldn’t have been more helpful. Their price was very reasonable, too. When the driver arrived to drop off my container, he rang my doorbell to verify the location and was very respectful and professional. Due to a lack of space to get his truck out, he wasn’t able to put it exactly where we discussed, but within about five feet. As such, he came back to me to have me check and make sure it was still acceptable. Honestly, I was shocked at how kind, considerate, and helpful he was. I feel he went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. Overall, it was a great experience and I’d highly recommend them.
