Johns and staff put customer satisfaction and communication above all else. Their work is efficient and impeccable. When insurance has been involved, they've handled everything every step of the way and I've never had to worry about going back and forth as a middle man. Insurance will always have a list of preferred shops, but no one will ever beat the customer service and quality work that John's offers. They will always have my business and I will always send people their way. Thank you all for the kindness and going above and beyond anytime I've had to bring a vehicle in.

*****DON’T TAKE YOUR CAR TO JOHN’S PAINT & ANTI-BODY in Lexington, Illinois **** This body shop is where we took our newer vehicle that got damage by a flying piece of tire debris only 3 hours after we bought it from the dealership. We took our vehicle here on the recommendation of a friend. Initially looked like it was gonna be a decent shop, but that changed rather quickly. This shop that does mediocre work. I say that because they supposedly fix cars for a living, but the customer has to point out damage that they said was fixed but wasn’t. They called and said your car is done. Get there to pick it up and damage that we showed them when we dropped it off wasn’t even addressed. So we leave it there to be fixed. During the time the shop had the vehicle in their possession it was damaged on the opposite side. I know this for a fact, because we have photos from when we bought the vehicle and their photos from when it was dropped off to be repaired. During its time at John’s (ANTI) Auto Body Shop. Someone damaged my vehicle. We pointed this out to them and were basically brushed off and told we didn’t do it. As not to go into a lengthy post. They said not our problem and have a nice day. The owner flat out said they weren’t doing anything about it and to turn it in on a new claim. We tried to explain that the damage was not there when we bought the car or when we dropped it off. It’s a deep scratch on the right side about 5 inches in length. I am generally willing to be understanding and try to work with people, but I take exception to someone calling me out and saying that I’m lying about something I know for a fact wasn’t there. I was forced to make this group and post to help others avoid mistakes and getting treated like this. Take your car here at your own risk. Their work is shoddy and mediocre at best, especially when you have to point out what they should have seen when they first worked on it. In closing. If the owner is so sure his guys didn’t damage my vehicle, then why did it take me pointing out work they missed in the first place? Obviously not too sharp or attentive to details and talking out both sides of his mouth. FOLLOW UP: They are still twisting the facts. They are trying to say they tried to discuss with us. He was totally unwilling to discuss any resolution whatsoever. Trying to say we blamed the alignment facility. Flat out LIES. Say what you want John. At this point I don’t care. You burnt that bridge by your rude unwillingness to discuss amicably. We were asked to leave when we were stating facts and furnishing photo proof. Pictures that his own employee took when we dropped the car off. He was not having any of it. Nice try John.

Wonderful experience from start to end with Johns Paint & Body. They kept in constant communication about the entire process and worked well with my insurance company. I was never left wondering when my car would be done etc. They were able to get my vehicle in promptly and 3 weeks after my car accident, I had my car back looking good as new. Very quick turnaround time considering the damage that had been done to my vehicle. They even detailed my vehicle which was a nice surprise. Thanks Johns Paint & Body!

Unfortunately I did not get any service as I was told by the lady at the front desk that Johns only give estimates by appointment. I towed my trailer all the from Danvers to get an estimate of what it would cost to have two panels painted on my trailer. Then she told me that Johns does not paint trailers. I told her that it is on Johns website that they do. I do not recommend this business to anyone.

I was visiting from out of state and hit a deer … John’s paint and Body Shop where so easy to work with and even helped make sure that I was able to get my car there without any stress. They kept me updated on every move they were making and had it done in a very good timely manner and were very polite nice and professional!!! Very happy with the job they did!!!!

Fantastic! Superb! Beautiful! All words to describe the amazing repair done to my F-250 Super Duty. As you can see in the attached photos, the pickup box rails were crushed by a fifth-wheel trailer that dropped due to a failure of the hitch to latch properly. I first took the truck to an independently owned shop in Bloomington I had used previously. They said the only way to repair the truck was to cut off the pickup bed sides and weld new panels on. Their estimate pushed the cost past the insurance “total loss” point. Not satisfied with that estimate, I took it to John’s Paint & Body. John inspected the truck, took pictures and we returned to the office. For the next hour, John and Trevor sat over a computer looking at the pictures along with detailed Ford diagrams of how the bed sides were constructed. After much discussion, they concluded they would be able to pull the bed straight using some specialized tools they had, finishing up with old school hammer and dolly to get the body back in shape. They pointed out this would be a much better solution over completely replacing both bed sides, as no matter how well you weld them in place, the welds will never be as good as the original factory welds. Most importantly, the estimate came in thousands below the other estimate. I really appreciate the time John and Trevor spent to formulate the best solution for the repair. The results are spectacular! You can sight down the side of both sides from the rear, and the body lines are perfect. There are no distortions, no bulges, no wavy lines, just perfect body sides, and the paint is perfect. I’ve worked on cars for over 60 years, both professionally and as a hobby, and body work is not in my wheelhouse. But I can recognize great body work, and this is great body work! And to top it off, they detailed every square inch of the truck, both outside and inside. The truck looks new once again like it did when I bought it new 26 years ago. It was spotless. And, the total cost came in exactly as estimated. This is a great shop! John, Trevor and the lady in the office (I apologize, I forgot her name) were all so very nice, and answered every question I had. It doesn’t get any better than this. I hope that I never have a need for more body shop work, but if I do, John’s will be my first, and only choice.

Every customer is important to this group. They are friendly, experienced their work is impeccable at reasonable prices. Communication is clear and concise. I recently discovered how totally invested they are in helping people. I had a trip where I had to go a couple hours away to pick up some pretty good sized items. I was pulling my trailer and something just wasnt right. It was cold And rainy which they ignored while they helped solve the problem and sent me on my way safely. Thanks guys. Y’all are the best!!

John's did an incredibly great paint job on my black F250 front fender. I swear it matches the factory paint spot on. A garage door trolley chain got up against the paint and scratched it. The vehicle exterior and interior were cleaned and ready to go when I picked it up. A very honest body shop owner!

The best people to work with it. I scratch and dent my brand new Chevy Silverado. They were so optimistic, quick to resolve with solution and with fair price. They had it ready for 1 week and it looked even way better than I bought it from the dealership.

I highly recommend Johns Paint and & Body. John and Trevor did fantastic work on my truck. They fixed my bumper and tailgate and it looks fantastic. The inside and outside of the truck look better than when I dropped it off. If I ever need body work done again I will definitely be back!

I took my 2023 silverado to Johns Paint and bodyshop so they could fix a scratch I had on my passenger door. They told me it was going to take 3 days to fix it.On the third day my truck was done like they said it would be. I was very pleased on how my truck came out. Johns paint do a excellent job on your vehicle.They washed and detailed my truck looking very sharp when I picked it up .Thank You very much!!!!

I couldnt be happier with the work John and his crew did on my 2005 Sequoya. They found parts that were no longer made by Toyota. They perfectly matched the paint on a door to a car.almost 20 years old. Customer service was outstanding! Id recommend Johns to everyone.

My wife Yvonne is a sweet woman. If you know her she would do anything for anyone expecting nothing in return. She dropped of our vehicle at John’s and upon leaving she was not shown the rental car that was waiting for her. She was confused so when she came back in and ask for help. John the owner said “JESUS CHRIST ! it’s the one on the end” she was very upset and frustrated and left. John lied about the situation and said to me when I spoke to him, “ I covered up my mouth and did not make eye contact with her when I said it”. My wife and I will never return to do business again with John’s in Lexington. Trevor and the receptionist were the only ones who tried to apologize for his behavior. When we picked up the vehicle I gave John an opportunity to apologize to my wife but he failed to do so. So sad 😞 John always says that insurance companies tell you where to take your vehicles but he is wrong. Insurance companies say you can take your vehicle to whoever you want but don’t take it to John’s in Lexington. Now we know why ! I don’t recommend John’s in Lexington to anyone and I will make sure all my friend’s family and business acquaintances know what he has said to my wife ! Very unacceptable behavior ! It’s a long overdue, long, and positive review. Ready? I hit a raccoon on my way to work one morning. Yep, a big ole raccoon. It was raining, dark, and early in the morning. I couldn’t slow down to save it or my car. So it tore the front left bumper, fog lamps, underside wheel cover, and many more small parts. Pictures added will show you the damage. You all have heard the radio commercial for Johns’s in Lexington. Choose your body shop! We’ll we had the option to while filing the claim and chose them. We’re in Colfax, so it made sense. Our insurance claim process through Allstate was simple, and handled online. Without giving the play by play of the entire process I’ll point out what we all want to know. 1. We only paid $100 for our deductible out of pocket. It was a $6,000 repair( we should have asked to total the car since it’s older but didn’t think about that at the time) 2. Anytime there was a new problem discovered, John’s called us, informed us, told us the cost, and contacted Allstate for us so we didn’t have to. And Allstate covered every new issue related to the accident. 3. Start to finish through waiting for the appointment, to waiting for the repairs, it took a total of 4 weeks. The repairs only took 1.5 weeks. 4. John’s did an initial estimate with as much detail as possible and ordered the parts right away. 5. They are extremely nice and caring people, you’ll be able to have the best conversations with them! They’ll even give you contacts for rental cars, detailers, and more! Our car had an air bag sensor that was causing the biggest hurdle. They sent it off to the local Lincoln dealer to have it addressed with the right equipment. When the dealer fixed it and sent it back to John’s, the light came on again. Both John’s and Allstate weren’t sure if it was related to the accident, but absolutely didn’t let us drive the car until that was 100% fixed. Allstate covered the cost of repair for this even though they don’t normally. It feels really good to know a family owned business sees you as important and goes above and beyond to make sure you are cared for with your transportation, safety, and financial ability to repair the vehicle. Please go to John’s, you won’t be disappointed! You’ll feel valued. Bonus: they did a free detail on the interior. Not too shabby!

In today's chaotic world your not going to find a better more friendly family owned business than John's. I went in with an issue that the dealer couldn't take care of. They had my car for 5 minutes and it was fixed. Then would not charge me. It's been a long time since I have had an experience like that. They have our families business for as long as we are around. Thank you to the family that owns the place. It was a genuine pleasure.

We had the entire passenger side of our truck damaged when a car backed into us. We took it to John’s and they FAR exceeded our expectations (and I have very high expectations). They took care of everything from the accident, cleaned it inside and out, topped off the gas, and took the time to thoroughly communicate everything through the entire process. Rarely, do I find a business that goes above and beyond these days, and they definitely did that. This was our first experience with this body shop and it was a great one!

After speaking with 6 different body shops and no one willing to work with my insurance, John’s was willing to work with me. My vehicle was done ahead of schedule and it looks like it did before the damage. The staff was wonderful and they made the process so easy. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Highly recommend.

Many thanks to the staff at John's Paint & Body Shop in Lexington, IL. We took our vehicle in for a minor fender bender, and they were able to easily fix our problem with same-day service. Thankfully, they made my SUV look brand new again. The staff at John's were extremely easy to work with, they were responsive to my questions and provided explanations that I understood. We will continue to take our vehicles to John's because they are fair, honest, and have great customer service!

I had John’s do some damage repair to my car and they did an AMAZING JOB! First of all, the repair job is seamless and no one can tell there was ever any damage. Secondly, John’s detailed my car inside and out! I was not expecting that at all! Also, they topped off my gas! I’ve never had such wonderful service! Oh and I can’t forget to mention, John’s left some mints in my cup holder. Ha! They were delicious! I HIGHLY recommend John’s! They went above and beyond! Thanks so much! Mary Cerda

I was very happy with John's! The 2015 car had long scratches and a dent on the side. When I picked the car up, it looked showroom new. They detailed it and it was like a brand new car. They were extremely professional and friendly!

We were so glad we took our truck to John's, they are very professional and work was done earlier than expected, and cheaper than quoted. We will definately recommend them to anyone needing repairs. Our truck looks awesome . Never mind about being glad we took our truck there. Within 2 months the paint started bubbling on the repair they made. I was guaranteed that it would be taken care of, only to get a call saying they were cutting me check ( which is nothing compared to what I paid ) and to find another body shop to fix their problem. What a terrible business!

My wife hit a deer and had extensive damage done to her vehicle. I was recommended to take it to Johns Paint and Body and I'm so glad that I did. Trevor and John were great to work with. They did a lot of research as to what my car would need and gave my insurance all of the information they needed. Insurance deemed the vehicle a total loss, so Johns wasn't able to repair the vehicle. Even though they didn't get to do the work on the car, I will take any vehicle I have to Johns for work. They were extremely helpful throughout the entire process and great to work with. I highly recommend taking your vehicle to them if you need any work done.

John and his staff are very professional and prompt. They got me in the same day I called and started working on my vehicle. After I dropped my vehicle off John took care of all the correspondence with my insurance company and made sure everything was fixed right. Their staff finished my vehicle in a short period of time and it looked like showroom quality work. I just had close to $7000 worth of collision repair done to my wife’s beloved Toyota Avalon… She was very nervous about the repairs but did not want it to be totaled. Because I’ve had multiple other repairs done at John’s we were comfortable just dropping it off, giving him the keys and he took care of the rest. When we picked it up it looked like a brand new vehicle! Can’t be happier with this high-quality, high integrity Collision repair shop in Central Illinois… I highly recommend them to anyone with any type of vehicle.

I’m not usually one to leave reviews, but John & his entire team went above & beyond. They are worth the drive if you aren’t local because these are incredibly caring & dedicated employees. After hitting a deer with all 3 of my young children in the back, John & team walked with us through everything. My insurance company didn’t give me too much information & John’s team took extra time to explain everything to me & even went as far as reaching out to the company that replaces our car seats, had them ordered to the shop, & loaded them into my car for me. I was honestly blown away by their kindness. What could have been a stressful & overwhelming situation was smooth and easy-going all thanks to John’s. All of my questions were answered, I felt supported, they worked quickly, I was updated thoroughly throughout the whole process, & the little touches like cleaning my car, fixing a door issue that was unrelated to my accident, leaving mints & a goody bag... truly we felt loved & valued which was not at all what I expected from a repair shop. The care & service went beyond all “ordinary” body shops. Also, unfortunately truly good people can be hard to find & John (and Trevor & Kelly I also worked with) are such good, kind people that you immediately feel comfortable with & know you can trust. I cannot say enough good things & although I hope we don’t have car troubles again too soon... I do have peace of mind knowing when something else comes up, we can always rely on John’s!
