What clients say about Lincoln Truck & Auto Parts in Bloomington (IL)
I can't say enough good things about this truck and auto parts business! They offer top-quality products at prices that are actually affordable—no overpriced gimmicks here. The team is incredibly trustworthy, and their work ethic is second to none. Every time I’ve needed parts, they've delivered exactly what I needed, and their customer service is always friendly and professional. It's rare to find a business that combines reliability, great prices, and honesty the way they do. Highly recommend for anyone in need of auto or truck parts!
Drove 2.3 hours one way to pick up a bumper and a fender. Called them 3 times in the morning to make sure that they actually have it in stock and the guy with the long beard told me that “Oh yeah 100% we have it”. When I got there they asked me to go out and look at the car before they can pull any parts off. I went outside car is missing the bumper and the fender is okay okay. I came back in the shop told them about the bumper being missing so the guy went outside found the bumper somewhere and brought it with all the broken tabs and basically looking like garbage. They tried selling me their garbage for $200. SMH waste of 5 hour drive and $100 of gas
Called ahead asked is their any rot on part, the guy tells me oh just a little rust.Drove 3 hrs only to find out the part was completly rotted out.Asked the guy in the office was told he just left, hiding in back. Theirs junkyards and then theirs junkyards.
Called about a part got a price within a few minutes and a call back that is was ready to pickup within an hour of calling. Everyone I dealt with was super nice both in person and on the phone. Will definitely be using this place in the future. Part worked perfectly as advertised.
This place went over and beyond to help me with my battery and alternator issues explained everything and didn’t try to up sale they were phenomenal great place to get help with your car issues
Great place. Saved me money on multiple occasions.
stay away... stay away. .....If I could have given this 0 I would have. Called two days before. Gave me one price. Took the day off from work. Drove 50 minutes one way.. for them to tell me the price was almost triple.. this has happened to me before at this place. I should have known. Stay away.... Place is a joke.
Worst place to trust when your making a 4 hour round trip.
Everything they have there is crazy overpriced I've heard people say they act like their parts are gold and let me tell you how they most certainly do might as well just buy new parts if you're not extremely broke. Even if you are you're only saving about 20% going through them with no warranty if it is broken. They do not do you pull which is very weird to me. It's definitely so they can gouge you
I’ve been to Lincoln Truck & Auto many times and the owner and front staff are always very helpful. Perfect family owned business to get parts from!
decent service but they are short on the phone and seem like they don’t really care until it comes to payment. they helped me find the part i need but once i finally got it ordered about an hour later he told me they sold that part the morning of and that i can only buy the newer more expensive part. at one point i was talking to an employee over text and saying “so you’re sure this is the correct part” and he replied saying it’s what he does for a living.. when all i was trying to do was double check because we ordered it online and i’m in a time stamp and need to be 100% sure it’s the right part for my car. they have decent pricing but i’m not 100% sure if i can trust them yet. we will see when the part comes in.
Extremely helpful and friendly workers who show a sincerity to help. Very good prices, large variety and selection of different vehicles being a well organized environment. A little drive for me but my first "go to" place when needing replacement parts.
Absolutely awesome. I needed a part for my 2011 Dodge Journey that was not available from the dealer or Auto Zone, O'Reilly, etc. They had 3 Journey's to choose from and one had the same type of tail light as my car does. Took the tail light off, got my part, paid for it, and was on my way. You are a life saver and I am so happy I reached out to you and so happy you had the part I needed. Thanks again...
Drove an hour and 45 minutes to get a part for my car. They didn’t keep track of their inventory well so I wasted 4 hours of my day. Prices are ridiculous too. If you’re gonna charge so much at least make sure you have your inventory correct.
Helped me get all the parts that were needed and got them to me
Place is trash, every time I call they tell me they have the vehicle I'm looking for but it's rusted out not worth picking off of. Sounds to me like laziness. You guys are in the business of selling used car parts there's going to be rust, and why keep a car on you lot that's so rusted it's not worth picking. Theres better salvage yards out there. Take your money else where.
Staff is professional and patient, even with rookies. I purchased parts here several months ago and while they did not have the part I was looking for today I discovered that desk staff could also effectively handle a grown woman having a sobbing existential crisis with ease and grace. Would recommend to anyone for parts, but let’s not overwhelm them with too many existential crises.
The employees and the owner of this salvage yard have always been super helpful with whatever needs I have. 10 out of 10 would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. If there is a way, they will find it and will help you.
If I could give them zero stars I would. I would just say stay away from this place. Go to CaultusJunkYard in Danville. Underpriced and truthful.
Paid for an alternator at 3pm thurs was told they would have it out first thing in the morning and they would call me. At noon wich morning had ended I called and was told " its one of his next orders." I went there at 1:30 in the afternoon cause my paitence was over. Walked in and gave them reciept. He comes out with it. I took it and walked toward the door and said you didnt call me. He yells what? I turned and yelled you didnt fing call me. He screames it just got done. As I was driving out he comes out and I say they said first thing this morning when i paid. He tells me not to come back 😆 never again. He heard many things I cant say on here. Idiots. Im Done.
They had my part well some of them anyways I respect the owner he’s a nice guy but very unorganized inside drove for two hours to wait in their parking lot for one hour for one part that I paid for before I purchase it try to make a credit card payment over the phone they do not want to honor that but I got what I needed so it’s not a bad review but it’s also not a good review I wish it would work better on your customer service and the inventory count of course I imagine it’s hard being a auto recycler know every part but with that being said they should put a little effort in their job and I have customers sitting in a parking lot for one hour also there is no waiting room no washroom only one person at the counter the countertop is complied of one small room will fit three people comfortably after paying for my part I was told to go get lunch they’ll call me when it’s ready FYI we have your money already will take it off when we feel like it the sad part is the part was already off all they needed to do was walk over there and retrieve it from the vehicle it was sitting inside the vehicle the whole time of course you would think such a easy job and get a easy sell out the way I guess I’m wrong
Short Version : I endorse this business. Long Version : For starters I am in no way shape or form a mechanic, as I chose a different path of expertise in life. I was having trouble with my Windshield Wiper. When going above 30ish Mph, my left wiper just would not contact the window. That can be a problem when its raining and you are driving 100 miles 1 way. I replaced the wiper blades, and the actual wiper arm not once, but twice for good measure. I then did some research and came to either the motor or the wiper transmission as the problem, and since they went back and forth fine, and the metal bars were wobbling, I thought for sure it had to be the wiper transmission. After getting quoted 400 bucks to fix it, I said screw it I would rather try to do it myself, because lets be honest, its 2018 and if you are not rich you are poor. Anyway I digress. I called this spot and they said they had one, but I had to pay first because they had to pull it from the vehicle. Which I totally understand, because time = money. this is a point that will be brought up later in the story. I went in today and talked to Mike, and another man, can't remember his name (not my strongest skill). Mike asked what it was doing and if he could see. I showed him and he immediately told me the bars that were "wobbling" were supposed to have some give and conveniently was working on one and showed me inside. He then explained that it was probably due to an after market arm being used, and the factory ones were heavier duty and then he bent that one a bit (which helped - not %100 but shows that it is probably just that make of wiper arm). So this brings me to the review. Mike spent time (again money) showing me the best route for me (the customer) which directly conflicted with him making money. He did this with respect and no judgement, understanding I know little of this subject. I can safely say that any time I need a part at all from here on out, as long as I am within 100 miles (and its not raining too bad) I will go to this place for parts, and will also recommend them to everyone. In 2018 its nice to find a spot that has good customer service, plain and simple.
Years ago, I shopped for used parts simply because I couldn't afford new ones. And now iv got an work car that I really would rather put used parts in to get me by. (Time hasn't changed much) in short. This is by far the best, most organized, andclaenest, junk...(wrong word). RECYCLING YARD I've ever seen. GOOD JOB FOLK!
They dont care about customers.
Drove 2 and half hours to pick up $600 worth of parts which the most important was a back glass they ended up breaking the night before and neglected to call to tell me. I walked out with nothing.
Quality parts and FAST shipping! Highly recommend!
called on the phone, rude customer service
Terrible a guy followed me out and harassed me the entire time i was here used aggressive words and made me feel uncomfortable around him i just needed one part and the people upfont were acting foolish and making fun of my appearance this is a joke of a business if thats what costomers can expect to be greeted with coming in
This is my 2nd experience with Lincoln Truck & Auto Parts. I am very pleased with the service and their help in finding the right part. I drive from Springfield, IL to get my used parts from Lincoln. I will continue to use them as my first source when I need used parts.
tryed to tell me i didnt pay for a windshield last time i was there 1 year ago bur didnt offer any proof.but they precharge your card before its even removed.so im not sure what kinda of scam he was trying to pull but wanted me to pay 106.23 for the first windshield and 106.23 for the one i came a hour away to pick up .watch out.
