Far better than a different company I tried to call who never reached out to me, had me wait well over an hour and a half for a 30-60 minute wait and continuously tried to make me wait while I was stuck in a parking lot waiting for a jump start. These guys are the real deal!
I lost my brakes on my '57 Studebaker Silver Hawk. Contacted Renegade Towing to do the job and was extremely satisfied with the job they did. Took special care to make sure nothing metal, like a chain, touched the Hawk. Treated the car like it was his own. Very reasonable price!

I got a flat tire on the way home from school. I made it back to my apartment alright, but it was down to the rim and was not drivable anymore. I called Renegrade towing and they were quick and very responsive to my needs. The guy on the phone told me 45-50 mins, and that was the exact time it took them to get out here. The guy who arrived was very kind and knowledgeable. It took him less than 10 minutes to change my flat. I highly recommend these guys!
I have had AAA for many years and tolerated their 1-6 hour time frames and their disgruntled contractors. (Just for context, i have older large vehicles) 4 years ago I couldn't wait the 4-5 hours for a service so I called Renegade. Problem solved in less than 30 minutes! And that type of service has been consistent over the last years. Renegade will ALWAYS be my first call when in their service area. Not only are they efficient but knowledgeable. Solving issues effectively, honestly, compassionately, and economically. In reality, Renegade gets 100 stars from me.
Big Thanks to Renegade Towing LLC for helping me out on Friday night when my car was completely dead. I went to the music store to pick up the parts for my kid’s violin.When I got out, I couldn’t start my old car,all the lights were off. I quickly went inside the store and asked one of the customers to jump start my car. The gentleman was super nice and he tried but it didn’t work. I asked another guy who drove a huge pickup truck to help me out and he lied to me saying his truck’s battery was different than the old cars(I found out he lied later). He told me to call the police and they would help me out so I called and found out they wouldn’t ever jump start anyone’s car.
Then I called my auto insurance but they quoted me $367 to tow my car from Mchenry to Woodstock. So I canceled the claim as I couldn’t afford that as a single mom. I got no one to help at this moment, so I called two towing companies in Mchenry. First one said they charged $125+$25/mile. I asked so how much it would be to tow it to Woodstock. He said he couldn’t know so I hung up as I worried I would get a big bill that I couldn’t afford. I called the second one, he said they didn’t have any available at that moment.
At that moment my phone juice was draining fast and I was so worried that I would stuck there with my other kid in the parking lot. Luckily, I searched “towing company “ on this group and found Renegade Towing llc. Thomas answered my call and I explained to him what happened. He told me the set price of towing it from Mchenry to Woodstock and he said he would be there in 15 minutes. Within 15 mins, Thomas showed up and quickly checked my battery. He quickly found out that the metal piece to connect the negative side of the battery was so loose. He said it could be the problem that the first guy couldn't jump start my car. He used his meter and started to charge my battery but it seemed that the battery couldn't charge well. He professionally checked all the lights and turned on everything to check more of the car. Then he explained to me that he thought the alternator was probably going to die out soon. He also did extra to check with his friend to see whether he had an alternator in hand. Unfortunately his friend said he didn't have one in hand. Thomas told me that he was planning on helping me to replace it quickly if his friend had one. What a great soul of him! Not only he didn't take advantage of me when I was struggling but he also tried his best to help me more than he's supposed to! I can't thank him enough for saving me without breaking my bank! He also gave me a lot of professional tips going forward. He also jumped start my car successfully and kept reminding me to take it to the mechanic as soon as possible. Words couldn't explain how grateful I was! I was in tears when I could finally drive my car home.
The second day I found out my insurance had roadside assistant so I asked Thomas for the receipt, he sent it out to me in just one minute so I could file the reimbursement to my insurance company. Thank you and thank you for all you have done, Thomas! Thank you for saving me and my kid from that situation and went an extra mile for helping us out!

I had a flat tire on the outskirts of Woodstock early morning. They answered my call and was able to answer my questions as this is the first time I used a tow. They were able to get to me within 30 minutes. Friendly service and speedy help. I recommend them!
I was in a real pinch coming from far away and Thomas from renegade towing was a godsend. He handled things quickly calm me down and was a very kind soul. He knew exactly what he was doing use this towing company. You won't find better than Thomas
Very unreliable!?! And not a good business to slack on reliability bc you only need towing in an emergency right?!? So I needed a tow to my car dealership r/t flat tire and can’t get the spare on. So I called this place… owner tells me “ok but I got some running around to do… give me about 2 hours”. 2 hours later he texts me he’s on his way, “about 20 min”. 40 min later no show. I text him to see where’s he’s at to get my car to the dealership… he says he’s helping someone that went off the road, and cancels me?!? “Short staffed and I’m going to half to cancel you.”….. no thx
We ended up needing a tow tonight late and not on a main road. With a 5 minute phone call and a rough location (4 corner road names). I met my partner by his car and within 10 minutes saw tow lights. Hooked up the vehicle decided on a drop location and luckily they were familiar with my drop location handed the keys over and I was actually able to pay there and head home. I was later informed via text my car arrived safely and it really was as easy as that. Took a business card home and will be using them if ever need again!!
Renegade Towing was incredible when I locked myself out of my van. Adam was so friendly and efficient. He took great care of my vehicle while using his tools to unlock the door. He was also super fast and friendly. I highly recommend calling him if you ever find yourself locked out!

Awesome operation! Was stuck on the side of the road, in a really bad blind curve spot, it was terribly foggy. I called and they said it would be a while. They drove past with another unit on the truck, called me and said they were grabbing another truck and would be right back because they didn't want me sitting there, they were concerned I was going to get hit. Truly professional, compassionate and very good at what they do. Wrecker showed and I was hooked and out of the bad spot in less than 5 minutes. All at a very reasonable price! Would and will use them for any towing needs I have in McHenry County!
Excellent all around!!! My husband locked his keys, wallet and cellphone in his running work van. Called Renegade from Google search...asked if they opened locked in car keys...Adam immediately lifted our tension with appropriate humor!!! And he came immediately helped us super efficiently!!! Adam came out and saved me tonight! My truck was smoking and spewing antifreeze. Unfortunately, I was about 45+ miles from home, and equally as far from where I would normally bring my vehicle in for repair, my insurance knit picked over mileage and what was covered, Adam took care of everything! He treated me with respect and empathy which is so hard to find these days, he was beyond professional, called with updates and was lightning fast. They were fast and responsive and got us to our destination with car in tow so we could get our flat tire swapped out. Thomas, our tow truck driver was also very friendly and helpful! Would definitely consider using them again when we need our car towed.
Long story short, 2017 flood took everything from us (house, car, job) except these classics. my husband returned from his 3rd deployment recently and a shop put us in a real bind and gave us days notice that his cars needed to be moved (no fault of ours). We thought we’d be forced to scrap my husbands project classics because we didn’t have the funds or resources. Renegade stepped up! The Boss came out himself! Doubled hauled and saved our classics!!!!! They’re weren’t only quick and efficient, they have AMAZING client service!!!! Came when they said they would, loaded with care, traveled with care, and delivered with the same care!
Then, today to add trauma, my car battery died! Put in for roadside with my insurance and BOOM, they texted me and arrived sooner than my insurance even promised!!!!!!

I was having trouble starting my car I gave a call to the towing service. They contacted me back with in 5 min . Thomas called me to let me know he will be there in 15 min or so . I requested him to call me ahead of time.I appreciate he was very understanding And gave me a call as requested. He came and fixed my cars issue in 5 min and I was very happy . He was very polite and helpful. Appreciate their service and understanding. I would recommend and trust them.
