Poor customer service. My wife was stranded at 2:30am. I was able to pick her up and set up the tow. I spoke with a guy named Cody who insisted I stay with the vehicle and stated they would be out in 45 min. An hour and 10 min later I called to see where they were. I was told an emergency occurred and they’d be out when they could. I informed Cody I had to go home with my kids and tried to provide a credit card number for the tow. He told me I had to wait for the driver to pay. I left a note taped to my window with my number and my wife’s number for the driver. At 6am I saw I had several missed calls. I called Cody back who stated they brought my truck to the yard instead of RPM performance (where it was supposed to go) and I was charged for another tow. It cost $380 to tow 14 miles because I couldn’t leave my card number with the dispatcher. Super disappointed with the customer service and the lack of willingness to help a customer by Cody. Will not recommend.
Extremely fast and totally knew what they were doing. Cody got me out of the freezing cold last night and my car to a shop safe - top notch towman, and top notch company. Will be using them if I ever need again.
James was great! Got to my car in a very timely manner and even offered to take a peak at my car to see if he could fix the problem. This was my second time dealing with a tow myself and he made the process very easy and anxiety free! Thanks for your help again James!
I tried to turn my 12 passenger van on a small road when I found it was blocked ahead, getting it stuck in the grass. I called Rex towing and James was there within 10 minutes and had it pulled out in less than another 10. I was charged $235 LESS THAN what Allstate had quoted when I had called them first. James knew exactly what he was doing, worked quickly and gave me clear instructions as to how to steer my vehicle out of the grass. I am truly grateful for his help and glad they were the number I called this morning. THANK YOU!!!
Today, James at Rex Towing did everything he could to get my car out of the forest, after a crash with minimal extra damage. He towed my car from various angles because it was wedged within thick brush. Plus he arrived within minutes. He had excellent customer service and went above and beyond throughout the whole experience. He was kind and understanding. With the time and effort, I couldn’t have asked for a better price. The best towing company in the county! They got to my son's car in minutes after his accident, then the driver stayed with my son until I could get there and pick him up. As a mom I can not express enough how much I appreciate this driver and the company. Truly amazing, 5 stars 10 times over!!

Today, due to an accident we had a car towed by REX in McHenry. Long story short, the tow was quick and courteous. Additionally, when we had to go and retrieve all personal belongings, James went above and beyond to assist us. After we left, he called to say that he took one more look at the inside and he wanted us to know that he found the brand new jumper cables that we were looking for and that he will hold them at the front desk until we can get back to pick them up. He didn’t have to do this and we are grateful. He should be applauded for his honesty and concern. Please consider REX for your towing needs. Thanks! M

My coolant just drained all over the place and my car stalled with an over heated engine. I called Rex Towing and James came out to rescue me and my stranded car within 20 minutes. The entire tow took less than 30 minutes with hook up of the car. It was a speedy and pleasant experience. I will definitely be using Rex Towing again if needed in the future!!
Highly recommend using Rex Towing for any Towing needs you might have! We had a boat trailer break down on the the way home from a long day on the river. AAA was a no call, no show despite numerous attempts to get them out. We waited for 5 hours until finding Rex Towing online. One phonecall and he was there within 30 minutes, had us loaded up and home within the hour. James went above and beyond for late night on a Sunday. Rex towing was amazing! The auto body shop scheduled everything and my car was picked up within an hour. James from Rex towing was great! I was in an accident earlier in the morning and he called to let me know when he was close, picked up my car, and then let me know when the car was dropped off at the auto body shop. Huge thank you to Rex’s Towing and their driver Ben!! After the alternator went on my Audi I called for them to give me a tow about 15 miles. They were there within an hour and Ben took care of my car with a very professional and caring manner. Will definitely recommend everyone to give them a call if they’re in need.
Hats off and hands down a great experience. Nobody ever has a good time when their car breaks down, but it happens. That’s why there is towing companies and repair shops. My situation was no different but once I called Rex towing the driver was out in less than 15 minutes and got me to the dealership in record time. Very professional and courteous. My car wouldn't start yesterday so had to leave it. Called Rex Auto Body/Towing to take the car to the dealership. We arrived after the tow truck driver and he tried to start the car. James had the magic touch, car started no problem. He asked if we still wanted him to take it and we said no, we would drive it. He was extremely HONEST!! Didn't sugar coat anything. He told us there was a fee for the call out, which we understood. We chatted a bit about the car and thanked him for his service. Have to admit we had a good laugh about the whole mess. Thanks James.
I had a car accident yesterday morning (11/08/21). Rex's was called by Adams Auto Body to tow the car and pick me up. James was the driver of the tow truck. He was timely, professional, and pleasant. After getting my car on the tow truck (he made it look simple) James gave me a ride in the tow truck to the shop. The tow truck was really clean and comfortable. James was so pleasant and friendly during our drive. He actually made a bad day better. I would recommend Rex's to anyone that might require a towing service.
