I don’t usually leave reviews, but Mark at the Cary, IL O’Reilly Auto Parts absolutely deserves one. From the moment I walked in for a new battery, Mark went above and beyond—knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in helping me get exactly what I needed. He didn’t just point me to a shelf; he asked the right questions, double-checked compatibility, and made sure I left confident in my purchase.
What really stood out was his professionalism and attitude. You can tell Mark truly cares about customers and takes pride in his work. That kind of service is rare these days, and it completely changed my expectations of an auto parts store. Because of Mark, this O’Reilly’s will be my go-to from now on. If you’re in Cary, do yourself a favor and ask for him—you won’t be disappointed.
Stay away from this O Rileys. tried to get batteries checked and exchanged with warranties, and all i got was a wise ass attitude. He wouldn't look up my account. Very rude and unhelpful. Would give zero stars if I could.
Everyone at store were so helpful. I purchased a coil and if needed other parts they were able to help direct the right direction and referred me to a good automotive shop. Will come again to do service here again.
All I needed was help finding the correct headlight for my car, since mine burnt out. Mark went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I needed. In many auto-related services, a man will treat young women like they are better or “all knowing” and that was NOT my experience here. I was taught and treated with respect. I felt like a friend was helping me work through something I had never done before, and taught me so I could be self sufficient in the future. Mark helped me install my new headlights and made me feel safe and respected as a customer through the experience. It’s taken me a few days to think about why this was so wonderful, but the team working that evening was honestly above and beyond.
I have been to just about every auto store around, and these guys are the best. They are super helpful. With each staff member, you get a different vibe. Ultimately, they are all looking to help get you a solution. They have been my go-to.

Employees seem to have a lot more knowledge about what they are selling compared to any other local part store. The manager hunter is always extremely helpful

I was in the store in cary illinois July 3rd around 5pm your clerk talking with buddy would not stop to help a customer me I walked out I never ho again! Went to auto zone out in 10 minutes what up get good help work ethic shot to hell.
I had the pleasure of having Jeremy helping me out with my needs. He was polite and helped me step by step in what I may and may not need for my vehicle. Excellent customer service was very impressed and satisfied with my visit
Everytime I shop here, the people have been extremely helpful and friendly. During one of the winter months on a very cold day they graciously installed a battery in my wife's car, when other places didn't want anything to do with it. On my visit today, Jeremy, who I believe is the manager took the time to explain everything and made sure I had everything I needed. Thanks for the great service, I will certainly be back in the future.
Great service professional, and knowledgeable. Help me diagnose alternator/battery issues and saved me time and money. Even a good deal on used off-the-shelf car batteries!
They are very helpful and are willing to help you out. They have not tried to sell me things I didn't need and did lower the price on a item (Seafoam) because it was cheaper at Walmart.
Employees know little to nothing. Asked for axle shaft bearings and he looked up wheel bearings. Over the course of a week we had to order parts that where non stock. And everytime a part came in, It was wrong. I wont waste my time there again
The staff over there is professional and knowledgeable. That's coming from a former ASE certified parts professional. I can't give anybody in this business 5 stars because I don't think that anyone is as good as I was (lol)! They know their stuff. There's nothing more to it.
Nice staff that goes the extra mile to find what you need. They also hooked me up with a really long spray straw after explaining the issue I was trying to solve.
These guys are always quick to assist you with whatever you need. Some parts stores you wait awhile for help, but in here you walk in and there they are ready to get whatever you need
I went into the store to check on buying some AC recharge. The staff member , Dakota, explained what product might work but took the time to go out and actually open my hood and check things out. He was very honest in telling me that the recharge can would most likely not help and explained what my options were to have it looked at by a shop. This was far and away beyond the typical service you receive from stores in today's world. Although i didn't make the purchase that day, the next time i need auto parts i will be going to see Dakota and the staff at O'reilly -Cary.
This is a great place to get parts. The people are great at what they do, I don't even look around for parts anymore, I just ask them and they help with whatever I need. I've been able to find everything I need for both my cars without any troubles!
Highly recommend stopping in for whatever you need!
