I brought my truck this place just. he did he did only diagnose and he was having my truck two days with he told me it’s the transmission of the truck which is not it was the clutch actuator When I try to tow my truck to anther area he charge me only for diagnose $1850 Please this is not truck area avoid this place. Other wise they wil scam you

Jeff and his guys are awesome, needed an oil change they got me in promptly and the price was great. The atmosphere is very nice also. I would recommend them all day!

I have used Steel Horse Towing on multiple occasions and have never once had any issues. Communication with the management team and the owners were always so respectful and responsive. The most recent work I had done by Jeff and his team was my breaks. They had my jeep fixed and ready for pick up the following day. Good as new! Steel Horse towing has always been my family and I’s go to for any tows and mechanical needs no matter the time of day or night. Jeff and his team are absolutely amazing at what they do. I couldn’t ask for a better shop to work with than them. Highly recommended!

horrible horrible place do not go here. They literally take forever to change parts and charge you out the Wazo. From my experience as a paying customer horrible timing and mechanics are slow. I didn't get my car back for almost a month. They had my car for 21 days And I think that’s how they get you by going slow as they can be to charge you for labor. They charged me $1950 just to change the timing belt the water pump and the thermostat I bought the timing belt and water pump myself had them install it. The rest they bought. They broke a bolt on top of my valve, cover gasket and tried silicone it . They are horrible with taking care of your vehicle. Do not bring your car there at all cost

DO NOT SEND YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!! UPDATE 10/21: They cut my exhaust hanger (I have no idea why because they didn’t weld the top of that plate anyway) and tacked it back on. This is shown in pictures. After a few weeks that lazy weld broke and my exhaust now is loose and banging.I GOT MY TRUCK BACK IN WORSE CONDITION THAN I SENT IT IN!!! Owner wants me to bring the truck back so he can “fix it” but won’t give me any refund! I don’t want another hack job on my truck. Rather send it to a shop that has integrity and quality control. I’ve heard “it’ll be done tomorrow” ( it took another week for this hack job), to “I will issue you a $150 refund in a few days”. That was nearly 2 weeks ago. He admitted that his shop produced this terrible work and tried to blame his workers but at the end of the day its his responsibility to have some sort of quality control. Jeff wanted $650 for these 2 plates that he had his guys weld onto my frame. I ended up paying $300 but in my opinion I should not have paid a dime. Took them 2 weeks to do this. Lazy and unprofessional work. I told them I don’t want the cheapest job, but a quality one. If this is what they offer as quality I wouldn’t trust any business with these people. One plate isn’t even welded on all 4 sides.

My friends and neighbors, this may turn out to be a kind of a long read. But for anyone looking for reliable, dependable, thorough, honesty and integrity read on. I am completely skeptical about auto repair shops and humanity in general. But I drive older vehicles desperately in need of service. I did my research thoroughly and decided to use a shop in bethalto. So I Google maps the most convenient and the closest towing company to transport my car. So I called the towing company and Jeff the owner promptly answered the phone and he was happy to help the very same day. Set that time of day I know he had to be so super busy but he took the time and listened to me and took the time to understand what I was going through with a sense of compassion. That spoke volumes to me. So long story short, I chose to have him and his team work on my car. And let me tell you all honestly please, Jeff and the crew killed it and kept in touch, readily available take my calls and keep in touch every step of the way. They made me feel so comfortable in a world of doubt, that when I picked up my car I dropped off my truck for work that it needed. I never thought that I would be so comfortable at an auto repair shop. There is no way that I cant predict your personal experience. But I highly recommend my new friends.

For the price i paid I appreciate it.
