Orbis works from Monday to Friday and Saturday only until before 2 pm. Enter to the back and in front of the scale you will find the place a door going up the small staircase enter to the right and there it is
great place. shipping and receiving doesn't open until 7am, open til 3pm. i got here at 6am and it was open but nobody was there. check in, pull up to the scale, back into a door. they don't care about having your tandems slid. very heavy load, 43k lbs and a lot of weight towards the rear, had to slide my tandems far back to be legal. loading took less than half an hour, in and out. once loaded, go to scale again then go back inside for paperwork.
This review is for Orbis they loaded us quickly and we were out very nice gentleman would definitely pick up here again
but not on the recycling side I saw a worker cuss out a driver for parking in wrong spot wow don’t ever take a load from the Recycling side disrespect uncalled for
Not a truck driver or former employee, I strictly use this place to bring my cardboard when I've got too much for just my recycle can. I back in, throw my cardboard in and leave. I've gone in and asked questions and the folks were very pleasant. Easiest way for me to get rid of my cardboard and plastic.
For a recycling plant, it's not too bad. Location is easy to get to and relatively easy to manoeuvre around in (although don't arrive before 8am Mon-Fri as they're not open till then).
Midwest Fiber is on the West side of the building and office is on the left when pulling in through the gate. Office member I dealt with was pleasant & polite (pity all receivers aren't like that). They'll have you scale 1st, then they'll let you know what dock to go to. After empty, you scale up again then bring in the paperwork. That simple.
Not hard to get to and the shipping personnel were nice. No parking available but there’s a Walmart nearby where you can park. It’s a fcfs place. Once you check in they’ll have you scale then hit the dock. I was loaded in just over an hour. Then scale out, get your bills and boogie
Orbis is around back by the scale but the lady up front wont tell you that. She will tell you to call dispatch when it's around back by the scale. Two companies with the same street address here at 1781 Hubbard. 5 stars is for Orbis and absolutely not for the other.
15:02 pulled in 15:04 I am in front of receiver ( took me 2 min to park) and she said oh we can’t take you today, we close at 15:00. So I late for 2 min and they said come back tomorrow, however they ware unloading truck. If you close at 15:00 then close the door! I would pay forklift driver from my packet no problem, but they don’t do that. Hopefully I will never come back to this place. So make sure to come at 14:59 or you will stay till next day
I dispatched one of my OTR drivers to pick-up a load of 32 pallets at this facility (Orbis) today 11/29/18. After I read the negative reviews, I warned my driver that there might be a little bit of a wait time. I guess we were lucky because my driver was in and out in 40 min. I hope this company keeps up the good work and load/unload drivers quickly because their time is valuable.
For all recycling place it is a very clean business. several times I have Broad and recycling materials and I am honestly not happy with what I received as an incentive. But in the end I feel good about recycling. I do recommend this place. Although they could improve on some customer service.
Dispicable. I was met with racism by Nic Webster, who asked me a latino (born and raised in Chicago and went to Army) if I understood English. And if I knew how to follow his rules. Sorry i dont understand RACiSM. I was loaded overweight and asked to remove one bundle. I was threatened with having police called on me and Ms. Meghan. As rude as can be not bothering to listen to me as I explained how they had overloaded me
