I called Waukegan auctions and Spoke to a foreign guy in sales about a vehicle that was being sold online after a few questions he hung up the phone abruptly I called back and asked him why did he hang up and that I had a few more questions he replied that I was from out of town and I needed to come there well the car is listed on Auto trader which is a world wide app?! That's fine what he didn't know is that I have thousands of dollars to spend and won't be spending it there. I guess I wasn't the correct nationality to obtain more information about something that I was purchasing. If that's the customer service can only imagine
Njvj Davis in sales did a very nice job of helping make the deal work. I appreciate the fact that everything was negotiated upfront and clear and he didn’t try to change the deal when I went to the auction.
I was contacted by Waukegan Auto Auction, to pick up a boat, motor and trailer, that I was donating to Channel 11, WTTW. They said they would be here Friday, May 9th 2025, between 11 am and 1 pm. Well, we waited until 1:30, and no one showed up and NO ONE called! So I called them. I was given the excuse, something about traffic? etc, but why no phone call?? They said they would be here by 2:30, so I told them, if they aren't here by 2:30, to just forget about the whole thing. A few minutes before 2;:00 pm, they called,( I assume someone in charge?) and said that he wold personally COME FOR THE BOAT. I told him to forget the whole thing. I had really wanted to donate this to WTTW, in hopes they would get a good price at auction, as it is a really nice boat with a lot of equipment, but Waukegan Auto Auction, failed them. I let WTTW know and suggested that they find another vendor, to handle the donations.
Do not I repeat do not buy in the inner-city. Come here. My fellow Milwaukeeians. Take that amtrak. Hiawatha. Get off in Glenview. Then take the md-n back our way but get off at Libertyvile. Catch a Lyft the rest of the way. Libertyvile not prairie I'm dead arse. Lyft will b cheaper and it's rite around the corner I must dye it down and not say up the street cause ik how we think. If you catch Tom the Lyft driver treat him rite he cool ppl. you'll make it just in time to view if you catching the 6:05 am amtrak. Trying to get there leaving miltown at that 8:05 am train not gone work fam. Sincerely a BrwnDruid.
I really tried to like this place and I had a wonderful experience but my vehicle didn’t last a week registration for title and vehicle plates never kind such a waste of the money I had and saved now just sitting with a non working vehicle and wasted money might as well don’t even send registration vehicle didn’t last a week worst experience ever !

Steve was super helpful and all the workers didn't hesitate to explain things. If you plan on going, get there as early as possible to really look and investigate the cars you want to bid on. They have a large inventory to see plan on making it a 3-4 hour experience.This is the new go to car purchase place for us! You can get a fantastic deal if you really take your time and don't rush.
