Where do I even begin. Londono's auto, is one of many mechanic shops in Lake County, but it's the only shop where you feel like a friend more than a customer. From the moment you step in and greeted by Lacy, and Daisy, the shop dog, you feel like you're at home insead of an auto shop. The service is fast, reliable, and most importantly, an affordable price in this bizarre economy. All of the technicians are experts. The shop owner can fix anything. If you need any repairs big or small, stop by this hidden gem of an "auto" shop.
I was visiting from out of town and rented a car— the middle console had a piece missing so several small items fell through it, including my air pods. After not getting through to rental customer service for over an hour, I called Londono’s and Laci answered right away. Her calmness and friendliness put me at ease right away and within 20 minutes, they had retrieved everything and fixed the missing piece in the console. I was on a tight schedule and very frustrated—they were AWESOME and I’d recommend them to anybody in the area!
Londono's Body Shop in Round Lake is by far the best mechanic and body shop I have ever experienced. They are highly professional, detail-oriented, respectful, and trustworthy. They have helped me avoid making costly mistakes with my vehicle. Whenever my wife and I visit, we consistently receive excellent customer service, and they always take the time to address our needs thoroughly. The issues we bring to their attention are resolved effectively without the need for a return visit. I confidently rate this team a 5 out of 5 for their quality of service. While they were very nice and accommodating, don't believe everything they say. In February, they replaced a purge valve on my 2007 Dodge Caravan in an attempt to solve a gas filling problem. However, it did not solve the problem and claimed replacing the gas tank was the only way to fix the problem. Took the minivan to another mechanic who simply blew out the fuel line and problem was solved. Very disappointed in Londono's, especially after reading so many positive reviews online. Needless to say, I was not impressed with their lack of knowledge, so sadly I won't be coming back.
Owner is generous with his time and very knowledgeable. I have had nothing but great service and the prices are more than fair. Lacy in reception is very kind and over-the-top helpful.
If you have a vehicle and your vehicle could talk, it would tell you to take it to Londono's. They treat you like a thinking, reasoning human being regardless of age or species; there is no pandering, no over inflating prices or issues with your vehicle. Always fair and willing to work with you, plus they have a doggo on site. That you can pet and is frigging awesome! Now they need a cat and it will be perfect!
My vehicle had a power steering fluid leak at one of the return lines. Brian was able to quickly identified the leak and replaced the line as needed. Always an awesome job!! Well trusted team. Thank you so much for all your help.
I don’t leave bad reviews lightly especially for family own businesses but they treated my car like garbage and treated me like a fool. Short version of the story: I had a major problem with the suspension on the passenger side. They towed my car, damaged the other wheel, ruptured the tire and bent fenders on the both sides. And made me pay for the damage they caused. They kept my car for a week and after few phone calls they did me a favor and fixed it within a few hours. It was ready for pick up Friday night just before closing. When I drove home, the suspension was rattling and the steering wheel was crooked, pulling the car off the road and jamming on the deep turns. I called them but they were already closed. After the weekend I called them and the lady told me that the car needs an alignment but this is paid extra. She sounded like there’s something wrong with me that I didn’t know and expected for the car to be drivable after they fixed it and charged me $2.9k. I think it’s a new level of incompetence to send a client home with a car that can cause a serious accident. I came back, paid for the alignment, paid for the tire they ruptured and when I asked if they can fix fenders they dented they said, they are not a body shop. Someone may ask why I paid for the damage they caused. What choice did I have? Take them to court? I’ll say more, I had to be nice and keep quiet in case something brakes and I have to come back for the warranty repair. Now the warranty expired so I can finally write this review.
I have a feeling that they reserve a good service for their buddies. As someone out of their circle, I was treated like 2nd class customer to say the least. It was a pretty stressful and humiliating experience and I paid $2900 for it. I wasn’t born yesterday, I’ve dealt with car shops before. This one is like an average shop in Chicago, which means it’s pretty bad.
Pros - I don't trust many mechanic shops but I do trust Londonos Auto. I went to them for many years. They have been able to diagnose and fix whatever issue has come up for my vehicles. Their rates are reasonable and they do quality work. I've had very little issues with them.
Cons - I haven't gone to them in about 4 or 5 years, because their hours are just inconvenient for me and they don't work weekends. If they do it's every other weekend. I just take my cars to the dealership now. I spend more money there but dealership hours are a lot better for me to drop off and pick up my cars.
Worst repair shop ever, DO NOT GO HERE. They used to be the most reputable car repair shop and I wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else. Until recent new employment in the shop and all work went down hill. I had my vehicle in there 3 times for the same issue, their mistake yet I kept having to pay out of pocket. 3 visits and 1.5k later there are still issues and the vehicle came out of the shop with another issue it never had a ticking noise in the engine now days after it left the shop for the 3rd fuel pump. Same time we had another vehicle there and we were told it needs an engine rebuild or new engine, so it just sat there. Vehicle was toed to a personal garage where the lifter was replaced and the vehicle runs fine now.
This place has gone down hill with poor service, lack of care to the customers, lack of knowledge on vehicle repairs. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I will never return to this facility.
Been going to Londondo since 2020 when we moved back to the area. Have had multiple trucks fixed and serviced there. They always do quality work and are fairly priced. I gotta say it’s nice to be able to find an auto repair shop that you can not only trust but that doesn’t try to overcharge.
Londono's is awesome. Dropped my car off for oil leak. They said it would be ready the next day after dropping it off. They called me an hour and a half later saying it was done. Not only that but they were several hundred dollars less than two other estimates. I will be recommending them to everyone I know
I took my car here after the Nissan dealership told me everything my car needed. It was true what needed to be replaced but at Londonos they had way better pricing and their service is excellent. I have taken two of our cars there and you can feel the upgrade/improvement in performance when you drive the car you feel good and know the right job was done! We will continue going here because of the awesome service and so close to home thank you guys!!!!
I am with Londono's auto for more than 15 years. I am taking all my cars to them with any need I have. Never had any issue, they are very honest and reliable when it comes to repair. I recommend this place to everyone.
The entire staff is great. I know the lead mechanic Steve from another shop man has never steered me wrong. A few years ago I needed some major work done on a car they were able to do it for $1,500 less than a shop that my father-in-law has used for almost 25 years. I recommend them to anyone and everyone.
Hands down best place you could go to, to get your vehicle worked on/fixed. First I took it to my family mechanic who was just listing a bunch of random stuff "wrong" and claiming all my breaks were bad when I just replaced the front ones...and then took it here and they were completely honest about everything and even mentioned how my front breaks were still good. Definitely taking my vehicles here from here on out.
Brought my car to Londonos for timing belt and water pump. My car feels much smoother now and they did the work in a timely and friendly manner. And the cost is reasonable. Also Daisy the puppy dog is adorable
Took my S4 in for a suspension job and they did a fantastic job! They kept me informed of the progress all the while that the car was in the shop and when I got it back it was like a whole new car! I would highly recommend Londono’s!

I know that no one likes to deal with car trouble, but you HAVE TO GO here if you do. I have been there a few times with my car and I absolutely love them! Yes, it sounds weird to say about car repairs, but they incredible! Krystal, who answers phones and is at the desk is a gem! They offered to get me as I live close and wasn't sure if I would have a ride. They fixed my car beautifully but didn't gouge the prices. Their professionalism is beyond measure, and I truly believe that this is what a small business should be.
I've been a customer of Londono's for many years and my experience has always been good. Work is done right and on time. Brian is always fair on his prices and he has never tried to pile on extra services that are not needed. If something is wrong he will tell you up front and will usually offer multiple options to repair.
Always great service! not cheap, but fair price because they use good parts for replacements! Been using them for the last couple of years to repair our Cadi, and business trucks and their repairs are very reliable. Also, owners are there and always in communication with us, answering our questions.
Had my 07 Dodge Ram 1500 towed here after having a misfire issue and blew up a cat. I asked when looking it over to please make me a list of things that need to be repaired and should be replaced in the next year or so. They got back to me quick with a list, price break down, and estimated time to complete the repair. When it was time to pick up my truck I was very happy. When walking into the front office it doesn’t have that grimy/ dirty feeling that most auto repair shops have. For the long list of things I had done the price seemed extremely fair. I was even happier driving off the lot, it felt like it when I first got it. Definitely found my shop and would highly recommend!

Londono's did an inspection on a car I'm interested in buying and were amazing to work with. They were super friendly, provided great customer service and even went the extra mile of creating an itemized invoice for me showing everything they inspected. Great price too! I highly recommend them.
