This shop is amazing !! Honestly you can’t beat their pricing and the amazing service they provide! They were able to replace my transmission and have me back on the road in a couple of days !! 10/10 would recommend!!
I have an older Chrysler 300 that needed suspension work on the front end, I stopped in and Josh looked everything up and gave me a quote. Two weeks later I dropped it off and was able to pick it up the next day even with all that had to be done. A few days later my AC compressor clutch started making a noise, took it in and had them replaced the belt to bypass the AC compressor all together (being winter I really don't need it). Most shops would try to sell you the new compressor and everything that goes along with it. 10/10 would recommend this shop to anyone needing auto repairs. Great service, great people, and great prices.
I wish I found this wonderful family-owned auto repair business way sooner! I called them yesterday morning and went home last night with my fully repaired vehicle. Also, I truly can't believe the low prices that they offer. Josh and his wife are so great and it was a very pleasant experience!

I initially had discovered Affordable Auto Repairs when renting out a Budget truck, which I had picked up from their location. Come to find out, this small business is such a gem! Since that day, I have had the pleasure of doing business with Amanda & Josh (owners, I believe) & I could not be more satisfied! I own two vehicles which are not particularly easy to work on & have proven to present their share of challenges, but here ... Challenge Accepted! Their prices are definitely the fairest in Lake County. But, what's even greater than that, is that you don't have to sacrifice quality work even though you are getting a phenomenal price. They are very educated & experienced with what seems like ALL makes & models! One of my vehicles is a Mercedes-Benz that often incites stress whenever it is time for some maintenance. Not at Affordable Auto Repairs! I just had some suspension work done to it & it will be right back in for it's steal-of-a-deal brake job. Top notch, A+ service. 10/10, Highly recommended. 5 stars! Look no further, you will NOT regret it!
These mechanics are awesome and know their business when others could not fix the problem on my truck and other gave me a higher price Affordable Automotive was there with unbelievable prices so I give them 5 stars and I won't let anyone work on my vehicle but them they even work till midnight I saw it and couldn't believe it! I had them perform an inspection on a used car before purchasing and could not be more pleased. Recommended some things that may need to be done in the future and gave their seal of approval. Needless to say when that time comes they are my first and only choice to have the vehicle maintained!
The only place I will take my car to. I was able to get my car back the same day after a pretty major issue. Customer service is amazing. Genuine and honest staff.
I am so grateful for the car services I have rcvd from Affordable Auto Shop in Rollins Road today and back in July 2024. Joshua and Amanda are very patient and helpful explaining to me of what's wrong with my car. Joshua the owner were hands on working with my car along with his expert & polite worker. Joshua also drop me off and pick me up from their auto shop back to my apartment. They never overcharged me bcuz I'm a woman NOT like with the other auto shops I went. Please go here and save yourself some of the hassle of worrying whether a mechanic actually fixed your car. The mechanic who worked on my car was amazing (Bob). I cannot recommend this place enough.
So, my car was in this establishment because the dealership I went to had given me a car with a bad timing belt. While the dealership was jerking me around, Affordable Auto was literally taking care of everything. Amanda helped me make my claim on my warranty, they helped me get some money from the dealership, which I wasn't expecting, and they weren't condescending about it. They were so nice to me and since this is my first car, they have been nothing but kind about it. Finding a mechanic can be scary for a woman especially, so I'm glad I've found a place to go where I know my car will be fixed.

Josh and his staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They take their time to make sure the work is done correctly and they do not try and over sell you on things that you don't need. They are very much a "to the point" business and get you in and out at an AFFORDABLE price! We will be back for sure!
So let me preface this review with the fact that I almost never write reviews, However after meeting Josh and Bob over at Affordable I couldn't in good conscience not let the rest of the world know how amazing these guys are! mid February My mother in laws Chrysler Sebring lost all heat and needed a battery. the "Stealership" in Gurnee wanted $5700 to do a whole bunch of other things like flushes and winter tire air service. Josh and Bob got her in and out and helped me out tremendously. and the best part is that they were true to their name AFFORDABLE!
P.S: Josh informed me that winter air service isnt even a real thing!!! they almost took us to the cleaners for a fake service, that should be Criminal!!!!!!!!
