My best friend was in a jam tonight and I was 30+ miles away. He said his check gauges lamp came on. He said the battery voltage was low, I told him to get to the nearest advance to have the alternator and battery checked. As I suspected the alternator had failed. The store did not have one in stock for this vehicle but another one locally did in Waukegan. I showed up with that alternator and tools and we got to work. Riley and Ethan went above and beyond tonight. Riley was instrumental in helping us get the vehicle back on the road and didn't have to come out and help in the cold but glad he did. Awesome guys and this level of customer service is rare anymore. Thanks again gentlemen!!

Riley, was professional when it came to assisting me. I came in with a engine misfire, and he took the time to help me understand the codes that my car was experiencing, recommended the correct parts for the fix and was very polite, professional and courteous. I appreciate Riley's professional assistance and I will be back!!

What a great way to start my Sunday morning. Car would not start ( battery dead ) went to ace hardware and bought jumper cables. I was able to jump start with another vehicle. Drove my car to O'Reilly first, They did not want to work on my car because it's a newer model? Guess what? Drove up the street to advance Auto parts. I met a guy name Ryan Duco, was a worker there. He was super friendly, very helpful, and explained in detailed the process of changing the battery. Man, this guy Ryan deserves recognition for an amazing worker. He swapped the battery in my car with the new one I bought in under 10 mins! Wow so fast and with 3 year warranty. Ryan made me feel comfortable the entire interaction. Great guy. Thank you. I will now be a customer for life due to his customer service.

I was in last week for rotors and pads. The manager Ryan and the entire staff were across the board awesome!!! This is why I have gone here for years and years and will continue to do so. While my parts were getting picked EVERY single staff member checked in with me to see if I was waited on including the parts drivers. Customer service is the best!

Horrible customer service. Pathetic attitudes. Seems like they purposely do it , so they don't have to deal with customers and make hourly pay doing nothing. Don't waste your time here , go to Grayslake location instead.

4/27/23 - Arrived at the store 10 minutes before close to pickup my package that I needed urgently. The person working there decided to lock the doors early. He saw me but refused to open the door . Had me standing out in the cold for over 20 minutes. Had no choice than to re-buy the item that I urgently needed hence had ordered, from another store that evening.

Came here a few weeks ago. Looking for low beam headlights. One of the workers there attended us right away as we walked in. And got us the product we needed. I wish I could remember his name, I'm sorry, but he was a great help. Really nice. Whoever paying these workers must give them a raise or something. Idk about the other negative reviews. They must be on their period or something.

This latest visit was for a new battery. The service was good, and the person I worked with was a nice guy. He installed my battery in the parking lot, at no charge. I feel that I got a better battery than I anticipated. I have had other good experiences, at this lokation.

I went into the store and needed help finding a certain fluid for my car. Walked in... went straight to the desk to the male staff worker and waited because he was speaking (on his cell phone). He looked at me and didnt say one word and kept talking on the phone. HE WAS THE ONLY ONE WORKING- talking to insurance about his car accident!! He knew i was standing there waiting for help and didnt say one word to me. Another gentlemen was there on a computer- he said he couldnt help because he was a driver. He went to see if anyone else was there to help but there wasnt. So the guy working there was well aware i needed assistance and continued to talk on the phone to his insurance guy rather than do his freaking job and help a customer in the store. What a JOKE. Will never go back to this location. When you are on the job getting paid then do your job. Don't talk on you CELL phone about a personal matter and ignore customers.

September 2nd I ordered a window regulator. Promised delivery date would be Wednesday sept 7. So I called today September 2. The man I talked to went and looked, said it was there and I could pick up in morning. Great right? Well about an hour later I get a call from advanced saying bc of the holiday the shipment was delayed. Typically understandable, right! So I ask, why did I have someone tell me about an hour ago when I called that is was there? The guy even confirmed part numbers from the shipped regulator to my order request. The man says, ‘honestly ma’am, me and my partner here have no clue who you talked to an hour ago, we were the only ones here’. Like are you flipping kidding me sir? What tf is going on at advanced auto parts and why 2 different stories from the same shift of employees. Never again will I go here, and hoping to find another on somewhere else so I can return the one back to advanced.

I had to stop at this Rollins location 15 minutes before closing to purchase Windshield Wipers. Jim was extremely helpful and on top of helping me pick out wipers quickly. Had exceptional customer service experience here! Jim even installed the wipers in a timely manner and recommended outstanding wipers. So far loving my purchase!! I will be returning to this location!

Went in to buy wipers for my SUV. Salesperson checked the system just to make sure they had them in stock. She recommended a brand and bought them. She even installed them, though she was pregnant. Awesome customer service! Tried the pair and works beautifully!

Imagine this: You walk in. You need jumper cables. You ask the clerk and she directs you perfectly to the aisle without saying more than 8 words. You pay and leave in less than five minutes. Thank you AAP you have saved my vehicle and mental sanity.

Purchased brakes from them last september,they asked me if i wanted to buy a 1 year warranty,i did.the brakes started going bad already so i went to return them today,the "gentleman" tells me the warranty only covers manufactured defects upon purchasing.i ask him why i would i need a warranty if they were bad when i bought them?,that is what a return policy is for.he then tells me that the brakes going bad could have been my fault due to an allignment! Lol!.after making nonsense excuses i finally spoke to a manager and got my refund.i leave and tell the guy to have a good day n he responds "not really" Long story short do NOT purchase from advanced auto unless you want as is parts,don't expect exchanges or refunds from warranties you bought without a big fight! Trash store trash employees

Cashier service is less than fantastic. It's an auto parts store first and foremost, they do have the parts you need, but so do the multitude of other parts stores in the area. As for the customer experience, it is lacking friendliness and quality service.

Greatly experience at this place, the staff is always friendly and helpful. Just picked up some wiper blades and licence plate lights. Everything was in Stock, I was in and out in only 5 minutes.

My wife picked up parts for me about seven months ago, been complaining since! she placed her new leather purse on counter NEXT to cash register, there was oil on THAT counter and it stained her purse. They SOLD her a cleaner and did not even care, manager and district manager never even called. Purse was $300.00, they do not answer e-mails or calls, stay with AutoZone or Pep Boys! there is an Advance five minutes from my house, I will drive miles out of my way not to go THERE!
