Saved me $250.00 from lower ball joint replacement with alignment on 2020 ford fusion from Firestone center. Business is business but they don't have to overcharge customers for parts. $95.00 if u buy the part.

Took my jeep grand Cherokee up there and they did a great job getting my lights fox anybody in round lake fox lake ingleside antioch lake villa ect i HIGHLY RECOMMEND you take your car up here
Had, wheel bearing replaced after that an abs speed sensor went bad they charged me for the diagnostic after I told them which sensor was, bad charged 70 dollars, for putting on a, scanner after I did this before, and told them which one was, bad they were gunna, rip me off by charging me 350 dollars, for the repair that another shop did for 30 dollars

My son took his 2009 Scion TC to get a check engine light fixed, the owner quoted him $1900 for the repairs and seemed very eager to start the repairs. My son agreed to the repairs. When they were done they called my son to pick up the car. He paid and as soon as he left the shop the check engine light was back on. They were also smoking in his car (very unprofessional). They left the skid plate hanging and was scraping the ground as you drove. I called the owner about the issue and he was like a different person. He did not want to look at the car for a week. Save your money and go somewhere else. I'm telling everyone to avoid this place. Once they got your money they don't want to help you anymore.
I love their service. Quick easy and hassle free. Whenever i need something looked at when it comes to my vehicle i dont hasitate and take it to them they know what they are doing and they are great at it. Quick easy and reliable service.
Came in to the repair shop a few days ago for a brake service, oil and filter changes with no appointment on the same day. I met the owner who was working at the front desk that day and said he was able to do the service and finish in a few hours. I was amazed, I thought it would take a long time since he had his parking lot filled with cars already. I saw the receipt for the replacement parts and service labor and it was a reasonable price for everything. This owner does outstanding service and is honest with his prices. I would definitely consider this place to service your vehicle since he has been operating this shop for over 30 years when Round Lake was still expanding. 5 STARS!
They recommended Mike's Towing when my car broke down, and Mike was amazing! AK Auto Repair fixed my car quick and the price was excellent, will definitely continue coming here and using Mike when my car breaks down!
I was very nervous about getting my car into a mechanic. Even for just an oil change. They were very understanding. I asked for them To only do an oil change. It was the most STRESS FREE experience I've ever had! I had a great experience with them, and this was my first time going there. I highly recommend them! Thank you AK Auto!
Great place highly recommend Owner said always busy 2 -3 days behind drop it off. I brought my car in called gave me estimate fixed and ready next day. See you again Highly appreciated.
For them to replace my battery, replace my breaks, put 3 tires on the rim, an oil change and replacing my LF wheel hub bearing they tried to say it would be $1552.95….. Khalid if I don’t do it within 30 days it’ll prob go up in price. He gave me a bogus written estimate reduced to price out the work he was saying I needed. They refused to email me anything and make it very difficult for me to understand the work I need done. The funniest part of all this is I just had my breaks changed but yet said they need new ones? Complete joke and a waste of my time. The first guy I talked to was sweet and made me feel comfortable in the beginning but after Khalid stepped in the whole experience was trash.
My car would not pass the emissions test for the state, the owner and mechanics diagnostic the vehicle, fix the problem and even took the car up to the state emission test facility for me. These guys are great and will be going to them with any car repair issues in the future.
This place is not a scam. Been going to this place for years with more than one car. The owner and his guys do a great job, but this place is BUSY. So you may need to be able to leave your car for more than a day. They get especially backed up on Saturdays. Expect that.
Love this place. It's my go-to for the last 3 years. They are by far very honest. I've worked with Mike and Kalid and they treat me like family. I've recently went in because I heard a squeaky noise now and then. I thought it was my brakes they check them out. I didn't have to replace them, they said they were still good. I was so glad they are so honest and always look out for me.
This place was horrible!!! Avoid it at all costs!!! Horrible customer service!!! Towed my car in & it took them 3 days to fix the starter. They never called me to tell me what was wrong with my car on day 1, I had to call multiple times to see if they looked at it & it was "we are pulling it into the shop now" or "it will be looked at in ten minutes". Walked by the shop & my car was still outside. On day 2 I ate & stayed at the Taco Bell which is right next door for a couple hrs & while my car sat outside, new cars/customers were taken care of & brought into the shop & fixed, once again no one called me & I had to call them & it was the same response as the day before. Not till 1hr before closing on the 2nd day it was there did I finally get a call telling me it was the starter. On day 3 I finally got a call around 2pm (they open at 8am) that my car was fixed. The next day the car didn't start & they were no help at all. After giving them very close to $500 to fix my car, I was basically told by Zahid the guy behind the counter "well we fixed the starter not our problem". There was not an attempt to help
I am sorry that I did not post this review earlier. The service here is A+ and they are really honest. My car was in bad shape when I brought it over. The guys at the shop took care of everything (while I was at work). They made a stressful situation become something of the past. These guys deserve a great rating! Give them a chance and I'm sure you'll be satisfied
AK fixed a botched brake job done by me, and fixed a broken hood release cable. They had no problem fixing my handi-work and saved me a lot of money on the hood cable repair which cost less than half quoted by the Toyota dealer. They are very personable and do excellent work.
One-star deduction (from 5 to 4): A body shop found 14 missing retainer clips for the debris shield under the front bumper. AK was the only one ever to work on the front end when they fixed the hood release cable.
I went to get my minivan side view mirror repaired. They got me the part $130 cheaper than the dealership and the work was done in 20 minutes. Very good and friendly service. I would recommend them.
