I wish other services were as reliable as Waste Management. In our 23 years living at this address, they have rarely missed a pickup. The drivers are respectful, courteous, and careful of the kids in the mornings and afternoons around buses. They seem to always be adding new services, and I hope that new ways to recycle various items will continuously be added.

The pick up service has been very good for the most part. I renewed my contract with WM after they agreed to match a competitor’s offer in May of 2025. Seven months into the contract I received a bill with a 25% increase without any prior notice.

Dear Customer Service Team,
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the ongoing failure to collect a water dispenser for disposal, which I have been requesting since December of last year.
Despite multiple phone calls made over the past months, I have repeatedly been assured that the unit would be collected—most recently with promises that it would be picked up on the following Monday. Unfortunately, this has never happened.
I am confident that you can verify from my customer profile the number of calls I have made regarding this issue. The most recent representative I spoke with was Ms. Kim, who again confirmed that the collection would be arranged. Regrettably, no action has followed.
This repeated lack of follow-through has caused unnecessary inconvenience and frustration. I would appreciate:
1. Immediate confirmation of a confirmed collection date, and
2. An explanation as to why this issue has remained unresolved for such a prolonged period despite numerous assurances.
Please treat this matter as urgent. I look forward to your prompt response and a swift resolution.

WM COMPANY IS A COMPANY THAT IS EASY TO DO BUSINESS WITH BECAUSE THEY ARE VERY ACCESSIBLE IN COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THEM AND THE CLIENTS, AND ON TOP OF THAT, THE PRICES ARE FAIR AND REASONABLE.

My Church, is a customer, we are a non-profit organization, WM recently hit us with a rate increase. We have a 6 yard can, that is rarely even half full. If they don't give us a better rate, I will be contacting Republic and Steven's to get a better price. Can someone contact me to talk this ? If not I start looking for a new carrier.

The WM service has been reliable and timely. We still miss the interaction we had with Abe - our trash collector - who was regrettably transferred to another route. His friendly attitude and customer friendly demeanor always made for a friendly interaction.

We did a house cleanout for a family member (estate home) and ordered a large dumpster. Ordered 3x for each time one was filled up and needed a pickup and another delivery. Each time it was delivered, the door was stuck and we couldn't open it. We had to call WM for them to send someone out to open it, but it would always be the next day. This was a serious issue because we live an hour in a half away and they could never send someone out right away. So it was always a wasted trip. When these dumpsters are delivered, the driver should open them right away for the customer so noone has to go through that. Like I mentioned, this happened ALL THREE TIMES one was delivered, smh.

I have had good service, but they definitely need to give senior discounts and also offer a smaller trash bin for less money

I have asked WM to pick up the recycle bin from my sister's house since July. It is now October and they still have not picked it up and they have tried to charge her account after I canceled it.

Trash pickup is timely and efficient but they broke both lids on trash and recycling bins. They will replace them if you leave the bins out on the curb until they can come to replace them. I don’t want to leave the bins out after the pickup is complete. They should set up a time to come and repair them so the bins are not just sitting out waiting for them.

We have had two missed pick ups and now two missed rescheduled pick ups for our yard waste. Absolutely no foul through extremely disappointed with this company.

Second time I’ve used WM for dumpster rental. They’re a pleasure to use and make everything simple, easy and safe. I was disappointed when our district moved weekly garbage and recycling services to a different provider. WM was always so clean, kind and easy. Drivers are so nice too!!

The trash and recycling pickup is fine. The compost/organics pickup is intermittent at best, and often non-existent. When the web account says my bin was serviced on a specific day and time, but the full bin remains outside (has happened on more than one occasion), it raises some integrity questions. Once, the route supervisor sent me a screenshot of the truck's GPS coming through my area, but the fact that the full bin remained only gave more questions than answers. I live in a townhouse community, and I'm sure that I'm the only compost/organics customer here; so if the truck did in fact drive by, it neglected the only paying customer in the neighborhood. In fact, about a month ago, WM swapped my bin for one with a giant COMPOST/ORGANICS sticker on top, just to ensure I wouldn't be missed in the future. Unfortunately, that didn't seem to make a difference.
If they would prefer not to offer this extra service to areas with few customers, I would understand that. But since the service is offered by WM, and paid for by the customer, the bin should be emptied weekly as per the schedule.
UPDATE 10/7/2024: multiple calls and emails with WM corporate, and the issue has not been resolved. One week, the compost bin may be picked up early in the am, and the next week (today), WM portal shows the bin serviced early afternoon, but it remains full in its usual location outside of my home. WM always shows up on time and leaves the area clean. There are times when I have more than what can fit into the bim and they have always accomodated me.

I have been a satisfied customer of Waste Management since Nov 1996! Now our community has decided to change to another vendor. I will miss our servicemen who have always been courteous and reliable. Always a wave and a smile, especially to our grandchildren as they have grown up over the years.

Almost with out fail, when the driver dumps the bin of trash into the top of the truck -- some of the trash invariably falls on my lawn and driveway. I don't think I am compensated for cleaning up after your trucks. If I don't clean up the trash -- it will blow on a neighbor's property or along the street.

The service person was excellent. She was a good listener and good at taking care of my problems. WM was very people unfriendly. The phone number I found by googling was no longer in service and I was advised to go to the internet. When I called the payment by phone number, I chose number 8. The number for any all questions.

We use waste management for our small family Own business. They are very prompt and showing up to dump the dumpster. Never had a problem with them. The price is fair. I would recommend them to everyone. Thank you waste management. I appreciate everything you do for us.

We are a church and we are very satisfied with the service of the company WM that is in charge of collecting our garbage. In the time we have been with them, they have not failed us once, they are always there. Before, we had another company and unfortunately I could never express what I say about this company.
We 100% recommend them for their prices and their great service.

I has been a great service for the last 10 years since we moved in the neighborhood, always on time with the pick up for waste, recycling and yard waste. Unfortunately this year, after paying in full for yard waste pick up( April-November) the whole community service was moved to another provider . The new provider came with a fee of more then 100% from the price we already paid( ha.. prorated)for a portion of the service( July -November) in order to continue the service. I saw a lot of neighbors actually signed up for , but all of us already paid for a service that we did not get. I paid for the service and didn’t get the service from July-November. Frustrating …

There are three instances that I have used WM recently, so I'm not sure which service I am being asked about. If this is regards to dumpster rental that we used twice recently, then I would give 5 stars all the way across the board. WM employee Laisa that helped me order and schedule the dumpster was so wonderful! She was able to answer all questions and provide instructions as to what was allowed and the few things that weren't allowed in the dumpster. The driver that dropped off and picked up the dumpster was also top notch! He was able to place it exactly where it was needed for easy accessibility and both drop off and pick up were in the times mentioned. Dumpster rental and usage was very easy.
If this survey is in regards to the phone system at WM, I would give 1 star if that. It is almost impossible to reach the department you're trying to reach and I was hung up on 4 times by the automated system. Not good at all. I do appreciate WM for the years I've had them and the employees are always efficient, kind and courteous. The robotic telephone service, not so much. I feel customers could become frustrated and get service elsewhere if they can't reach who they need.Apr 23, 2024
