I went to O'Reilly's Auto parts store today. What a breath of fresh air. The men were extremely nice I was floored. They helped me find the correct back wiper for my SUV. I was so thankful that I also bought two wipers for the front. They put all three wipers on for me without any attitude just nice and smiles. Two days before I was at Auto store in McHenry they were just terrible. Not nice, acted like I was annoying them from the first walk in. Said they do not put wipers on the back windows at all which there web site does not say that also sold me the wrong wiper. Long story short Oreillys is the bomb. I will not go anywhere else if I need something for my SUV. I know you will be very happy customer when you walk out.
This store is amazing! Other locations don’t compare to the fox lake store! The manager Dusty takes great care in keeping this place clean and stocked! Dusty goes out of her way to help you find the correct part you’re looking for and if she doesn’t have it in stock, can get it same day or next! However this place needs more employees. I feel like it’s under staffed. Every time I visit this store morning, day or night it’s always Dusty like she lives here. I think the district manager needs to get on it and hire more ppl for this busy store.
The manager of the Fox Lake location is amazing! She’s knowledgeable, kind, and will break out her cell phone to help look for parts! Not bad to look at either. Thanks, Dusty. You’re a great person!
Great Oriellys Location. William took extra time to find not only the right fit for some hard to find parts but also something that was not listed to fit but worked out better. Not the first time I had a good experience at this location.
I have been to this store multiple time. Dusty the assistant manager is great. She spends the needed time to help me get the parts and job done. I wish she had more help as she is sometimes the only person there other than a delivery driver
I went in there one evening to browse and look for new floor mats for my truck. Mind you my 7 year old child was with me. One of the employees (Riley I think, he wore glasses and a backwards baseball cap) was extremely rude and would not stop dropping the f bomb. Loud, obnoxious and extremely unprofessional. I’m not sure how they employ people like that but I will never go back as long as they feel that’s okay behavior. I did go in the following day to report his rude and child-like demeanor, and the woman who works there was very kind and said she would pass my complaint on to her manager. I was going to just let it go but decided I needed to speak up. Extremely disappointed with this company.
I’m extremely grateful to the guys for helping me thru my situation. They didn’t just offer amazing customer service. Going above and beyond anything I was expecting by physically going outside and fixing my hanging exhaust. I was totally capable of doing it but without hesitation, in not so ideal weather, “stay inside and stay warm. I’ll take care of this.”
My windshield wipers froze to the window and tore on Friday They not only had several choices in stock but they installed them at no charge. And so much less $$ than what the dealer quoted me.
I deliver for dominos & they’ve always been such a help to not only me, but other drivers that didn’t know anything about their cars. A few years ago, they replaced a battery for me with no hesitation. Today I was having a problem with a battery on a new/used car I bought a few weeks ago and took the time to help me figure out the problem. I’ll never use a different location, they’ve always been my go to location! Their customer service as always been top of the line Thank you, always!.
I came there to buy headlight lamps for my car. I have a son who is almost 13 who really enjoys working on cars. They took the time to come out and show my son how to properly put a lightbulb in my car! I would highly recommend this place!
The employees at this location are always on the ball when it comes to finding parts. These are not your typical "does it have 4wd" when you come in needing wiper blades type of counter guys. They have always been helpful and nice to deal with when I stop in for parts.
Horrible customer service the punk cashier said I was wasting his time because I was asking questions about proformance of different products while the store was empty at 11am and there where 2 cashiers. Management need to train there staff properly in manners and customer service.
Frank was really helpful this morning!!!! He helped me with figuring out what was wrong with my mom's car and recommend a really great place that was able to help (Automotive Connections in Fox Lake!) I had a really great experience with Frank's help and advice!
Good service and those guys at the fox lake location know parts and how to work on vehicles so very helpful for people that don't... but they do a lot I had some rotors cut there a while back for my S14 and you can rent tools and their local for me so it's convenience to have a good weekend wrench heads wrench ongot em that's 2
Too me, it's too expensive for simple things. Like wipers, car fresheners and other small things. Amazon smokes them on those items. Battery I needed was decently priced, about all I'd use O'Reilly for
Went to get a battery in 25ish degree weather and they refused to put it in because "It was too cold" If you are going to say you help and install then put a temp on it if you will refuse. I put it in myself with the help of my husband. Years ago I worked for Autozone and I remember not feeling my fingers and putting in a bulb or battery so lets ask who I will be going to next time? The company that stands by their word that's who. Hey at least they let me use their tools... I guess...
A couple of weeks ago I had to replace my license plate light. I came in and bought it, the gentleman behind the counter came out and installed it for me because I didn't know how.
I came in today and purchased a headlight. I had no clue how to put it in. One of the employees came out to help me. He tried for almost an hour to put my headlight in. He couldn't figure it out. Have to take my entire bumper off to replace a simple headlight on a 2003 Honda Acura TL. This gentleman did not have to take the time to try. They went above and beyond to help me.
Was over charged for a sale item. Had to do a second transaction due to an item being forgotten. Which I was charged full price for. Not the sale price. Didn't catch it until just before I left. Went in and they credited it back to my card. Then realized later I was charged for 9 spark plugs instead of the 6 I asked for. Went in and got the credit reversed back to my card. Had another issue and had to have the whole transaction reversed then redone. This was on Sunday. As of today they have been paid almost $450. With no credits back to my account.
I went in today w/no idea what i wasn’t doing. Assistant Manager John helped me find what i was looking for and even recommended grease for the bulb. He then went out of his way to help me put the bulbs in my break light!!! Hes an amazing man!!! Very satisfied with my service i had today and i will be picking Oreillys over any auto store!!! Thank you John!! you made this customer happy
