If you’re looking to junk a car go through peddle and not these guys! Peddle might send these guys to get the car but this place is a rip off! Peddle sent another company to get my car for the same price as advertised. This guy below inquired about the catalytic converter after I already informed Peddle the part was not on the car, my offer was based on this and cannot be changed. Don’t lowball yourself and use these jerks!
Very good place and professional stuff , I contacted Kyle with 3 semi-trucks , he was giving me the prices. I sold a volvo semi-truck already for what we been agreed on the phone. Hopefully will be able to sell the rest of 2 volvos to this place. Kyle is managing this place very good .
This Saturday I went to River Valley Recycling in Kankakee IL.. I found them through a Facebook marketplace add for smart car parts.
I purchased a used tire and wheel for my smart car. When I traveled to the business and arrived, the yard looked very clean and orderly , and the lady in the office was very nice and friendly. Given the opportunity, I would like to go there again and buy more parts ... I rate it at 5 stars.
The engine in my Hyundai Sonata died and had to make the difficult decision to scrap the car. I googled salvage companies and River Valley popped up so I checked out their webpage. I completed their online form and received a phone call from Kyle Bruno, the owner, asking for some more photos of the car. He gave me a fair quote an was willing to budge a bit on it. Kyle is extremely professional and helpful. Responses were prompt and thorough. When we arranged for a pick up time, Wendy reached out to me via text to let me know when Zack, their tow truck driver, would meet me. I bought 2 20ft singe trip containers and I was very happy with the condition of the containers. No dents, great paint and the customer service was fantastic. The delivery driver Mike was very knowledgeable and helpful when he dropped them off. I'd buy from these guys again and Id highly recommend them to anyone.

Took a load of scrap their for the first time. First had to wait 30min for them to start unloading me. Then supposedly both of their magnetic machinery was broke. Then the wait for 3 workers to come unload by hand. I had 4,180 lbs of iron mostly. Got $328 bucks. The loda yard witch is closed cause owner passed away i would have got double what i got from river valley. So if your going to take your scrap their and your not a regular. Get ready for them to take advantage of you just like they did me.
The process of selling my cars to Peddle was convenient and very easy. The driver was also very friendly and had great communication. Highly recommended.
I just bought a set of MINI Cooper seats from River Valley yesterday. It was a completely positive experience!
I am over 2 hours away, so I wanted to be confident in the purchase before I made that trip. The communication from Kyle was excellent – he responded to inquiries quickly and provided detailed photos to illustrate the condition of the seats. He also told me a little about the seats and their condition. In the end, they are actually better than I expected and very reasonably priced.
I dealt in person with two employees – Mario and Kevin. Both were professional and considerate. They made the transaction go smoothly and even loaded the seats in my truck for me.
When you buy something online or a considerable distance away, there is a real reason to be hesitant. However, I feel extremely confident in River Valley and would not hesitate to buy from them again. Very professional and courteous. The lady in the office was extremely helpful with setting us up with a same day tow truck to take away our old car. The tow truck driver was very professional and got the car out with no issue, despite the car sitting for about 4 years. Would recommend them if you have an old car you need towed away.
I had two trucks to junk. I had a private offer and got a quote from another local scrap yard. River valley recycling gave me the absolute best price for my junk trucks. They also were polite professional and made the process very simple. River valley came and removed both vehicles from my property promptly and smoothly with no hiccups which was so much nicer than having money deducted from my payment for a tow or having to mess around with driving or trailering in the junk vehicles. Kyle handled the entire ordeal and did a fantastic job. I highly recommend river valley recycling for all junk vehicle sales/ removal.

This was an overall great experience! From the moment we called to get an estimate on our junk car to the moment it was picked up the team was amazing.
