Back in August had to call because I lost a tire on my boyfriend’s truck while I was moving. They put the tire back on (at my boyfriend’s request) and were super kind! They were genuinely worried about me making it back home and asked me to call and also followed me back into town to make sure I got there ok. Excellent service, reasonable prices and overwhelming kindness and compassion. Absolutely will call again if needed.
Didn't handle pickup instructions correctly instead falsely accused me of giving her wrong time. I clearly stated 10am to 6pm. She claimed 7am. Why would I be open before any other auto facility. Then I called to see when they were coming back to pickup the vehicle only for them to reject my calls. Bad business
Returned my call in short amount of time. Pick up and drop off exactly when they said they would. Extremely fair price. Took excellent care of my vehicle. Would and will recommend for future service :)
Well, I did not have getting stuck in a ditch with my twelve-year-old daughter on my bingo card for today. I made a wrong turn in a rural area and wound up in a ditch on a road where we didn't see one car until our tow truck driver got there.
Ryan from Hopkins Towing pulled us right out and had us follow him so he could make tracks for us to get home. He stopped at every stop sign until we caught up to him (even getting out once to tell me what to do if I start sliding). After we got back to town, he called to make sure we got home okay and to tell me what to do so my tires don't freeze. If you EVER need tow service, I couldn't recommend this company more. We're a little shaken up but home and unscathed thanks to Hopkins Towing, Inc.
These guys were AMAZING! Visited family from out of state and had a unique and challenging issue with our off-road vehicle after hours. Their entire team (from phone calls, onsite and follow-up) truly care about their customers. They even texted us this past week after we got back to Texas making sure, we got back ok. Highly recommend to locals and out-of-staters equally. So appreciative of them!
Ryan, Ashley and their team always go above and beyond for us, we use them to tow many vehicles each year and they are the only company that will go out of their way to make sure your stuff is safe and locked up and accounted for, everybody is a pleasure to deal with. I won't use anybody else. I highly highly recommend them!!
During a driving rainstorm in late June, my husband and I broke down several hours from our home & destination. We called a local GMC dealership, Arnie Bauer in Wilmington, IL, and they recommended Hopkins Towing to us. The flatbed tow truck was there to get us WITHIN 20 MINUTES of calling and the service was fantastic! He was polite, professional, efficient, friendly, and reasonably-priced.
Don't let the bad 'E Alex' review fool you - that one is spam, the 5 Star reviews are Fact. And just to prove that this is a REAL review, I've attached a photo I took of my husband settling up with the owner (faces blurred for privacy) because I fully intended to leave a great review for the exceptional service that we were given.
I got a flat tire last night and called Hopkins for help with the tire. They had someone out to me in 10 min. And not just someone, it was the owner! He was super quick, friendly, extremely helpful, and made sure I was safe to drive back to Manteno! I could not have asked for a better experience! I would recommend them to anyone in need!
I don’t need a tow often but I will definitely call Hopkins towing again. Ashley was great to work with on the phone. Eric arrived quickly and we were loaded and off to the shop. 10 starts.
Beware of Fake Reviews‼️‼️
I’m convinced this company is padding their ratings with fake reviews. Most of the glowing 5-star reviews here are suspiciously generic, with no details about actual experiences. Meanwhile, my experience was a total nightmare.
They quoted me one price over the phone, only to jack it up the moment the truck arrived. The driver was unprofessional and tried to pressure me into using their “preferred” repair shop. When I insisted on my own mechanic, they became rude and dismissive.
It’s shocking that a company operating like this has such a high rating. Don’t be fooled—look at the low-star reviews, which are much more in line with what I experienced. I wouldn’t trust this business again, and I recommend avoiding them if you value your time and money.
The crew at Hopkins Towing is fantastic!! They are quick and courteous and ensure your vehicle is safe during transport or even help change a tire on the side of the road or unlock your car in the snow!
Super nice people, knowledgeable, and excellent service! I'm a nut with my cars. Gary realized my car was lowered and took precautions to make sure it was loaded properly and without damage.

Ridiculously professional! Literally there quicker than they said they would be. Great mileage rate (compared to where I’m from). AND before I could ask, gave me a receipt for my insurance company. Not that I want to be broken down, but simply an outstanding service! Eric, thank you.

$365 for a 1 mile tow and less than 24 hours in there impound lot.
The police had my car towed due to not having current insurance with the vehicle. The officer was going to let me pick the tow company but said i can go with hopkins because that is who they use.
I agreed.
The next day at 2pm i went to pick my car up and the charges were $365.00
They even charged an $85 gate fee. $85 to open their gate. WOW.
But because they already had my car i had no choice but to pay their outrageous prices.
This should be unexceptable and wilmington police need to look into the charges.
The ICC will def be contacted. Towing companies should not be aloud to gouge prices like Hopkins does
My wife and her sister broke down on I-55 (turned out to be the alternator) and luckily they were able to pull off at exit 217 Dwight. I called Hopkins and Ryan quoted me a price to tow it to Chicago like I asked, but instead of taking my money he said he had a friend in Dwight that could take a look at it and see if it could be fixed right there. He didn't just give me the phone number, he called the guy himself and arranged it! His friend tested the alternator and found it was bad, and told my wife he happened to have the part in stock (that part was God). He towed it to his shop, fixed it and delivered the car back to my wife in about 1.5 hours! It could have been a costly nightmare but for the kindness of Ryan at Hopkins Towing. Use them!
I just want to say how thankful I am for Hopkins Towing! Yesterday during rush hour traffic on the interstate I had a tire blow. I had 2 little children with me. Hopkins towing went above and beyond helping us out!!! They were there within minutes, and even brought an extra truck to be able to safely transport all of us to the nearest tire shop. Which BTW they called ahead of time and so kindly got them to wait for us to get there to get a new tire. Hopkins towing had everything set up so smooth and it all was done so fast. Thank you so so so much!! 😊
Absolutely recommend, fast and affordable. Should be your first call for late night/early morning towing. Had called another service first and waited over an hour for a call back. Decided to call Hopkins, was there in half the time expected.
The owner Ryan was great friendly and courteous. He was honest and trustworthy. When his employee showed up on time he was also so friendly and nice. Kept me updated on his time. I so recommend them.

This is honestly the best towing service I have ever used. Even though it was 6:30 at night, they answer my call immediately and had my car hooked up and towed home within 45 minutes of me calling. Aside from that, they also checked into a few things on my car and helped talk me through what issues could have caused my problem. They also recommended a couple places where they would get their cars looked at. They seemed like just really great people. I 100% recommend to anyone needing a tow!
This company was great! My car broke down in Lemont and I needed to be towed to Wilmington. They were fast, efficient, and when he dropped my vehicle off, the driver helped me diagnose the issue. He went above and beyond and I will absolutely use them again! I felt very safe riding back with the tow driver as well. The vehicle was clean and the driver was super professional. So if you’re a lone lady worried about safety and not getting ripped off, this company is the company to use.
