I'll give this place more stars if it was possible believe me they have been over backwards and been so patient with my situation they have researched they have done so much and even though we couldn't find an answer they still you know maintain professionalism or calm called back when they said they were supposed to you know communication was a plus you need to do business with people like this I appreciate you guys very much and I will be using you later on believe me
Tried to contact this company several times in the last couple of months wanting to sell my used outboard. The 1st time was through their message page on their website. The 2nd was a phone call, there was nobody there to talk to me but was given a name and email address of someone who could help. OK. I sent an email explaining what I had and that I wanted to sell it, even offered to deliver it. NO RESPONSE, nothing. A couple weeks later I sent a follow up email. Again no response at all.
Even a no thanks. go away, would have been better than being ignored. Terrible way to run a business.
I called about building me a lower unit that I needed the next day. They made it happen and took great care of me. Lower unit runs great too! I'll definitely use them again in the future
I’m located down here in Florida and purchased a fuel rail for my engine. It’s been over a week ago and still haven’t received my order. When I contact the company I leave messages and never receive a call back or follow up. I contacted usps who they shipped it with and they informed me that it’s taking longer because of the lowest shipping cost was selected and it’s sitting in transit. When i follow my package it’s been sitting in the same warehouse for 4 days now.
Erin & Liz went ABOVE & BEYOND the call of duty to get our small family WaterSports rental company back in action ASAP. Cannot thank you guys enough & would absolutely recommend using these folks in the future, as I know, I will!
Have an older Evinrude needed to do a rebuild on the fuel pump. Called and worked with Liz who was more than happy to assist. She looked up to find to correct part for the kit and then put hands on to verify they actually had in-stock. Drove down, Liz had the part waiting for me. Found another item I needed while there. Quick, easy, painless... Would recommend based of my experience.
Highly recommend these guys for older outboard motor parts. I was looking for a carb for a 1979 Chrysler 115. They had one on their website with a detailed description. Bought it and it was shipped the next day. It arrived much quicker than promised. The carb was exactly as described. Put a kit in it and it worked perfectly. Thanks!
The part was well packaged and arrived in great condition in spite of FedEx crap service. Parts condition, an intake manifold for an alpha one gen 1 Murcruiser was better than expected from the eBay photos.
Ordered a power head for a boat and completely swapped everything over to find that my new power head had low compression. They sent me a new power head and I went ahead and swapped over all new gaskets including head gasket just to be sure this one would run good and not have to remove the power head AGAIN as it’s a lot of work….. put this powerhead on and the last step is to mount the starter. The starter is different mounting bracket, so contacted them to get the starter off the powder head that they removed in hopes it would match up to the flywheel and they sent a starter that is off the original powerhead that they sent. They offered a refund for just the powerhead and after waiting a few weeks to have the time to work on this boat I remove the powerhead and ask for the address to send it back and they claim it’s out of the return period. Here I am stuck pulling 3 powerheads off this boat and all the time wasted along with parts that go along with replacing it and still need a power head. What a complete waste of time and money and no guidance to get this fixed or returned!

My boat shift cable snapped after launch - coming out from being winterized. eBay only had a cheap Chinese made cable that we ordered & upon tear down and reinstall, we found out the hard way that it doesn’t fit.
Beyond frustrated as we were being charged a small fortune daily to have our boat trailered and out of the slip while the repair was done.
We came across an original OMC cobra cable here online with South central Outboards.
They managed to get this cable overnighted and in my hands literally within 12 hours. Illinois to Upstate NY…
Wade, James, the entire staff at this place is A1. They even called the next day to confirm it was out for delivery and I’d have it as needed.

Found this company on ebay but bought directly through them over the phone for a used drive shaft for my outboard.
The company is legit and will help you find the right part for your specific needs, they even took the time to verify proper fitment of the part. I will most deffinantly use them again if I'm ever in need of anything. They also shipped my part the same day to me. If your in need give them a call.

Just wanted to give a huge thanks to Sharon and Taylor for their help with my order. I accidentally used the wrong payment info on an Ebay purchase. Called them and they were immediately able to help me sort it out and get the order placed. Great customer service and very friendly. Will definitely do business with them again!

However, fearing the worst, I reached out for a new gear case for my Yamaha. I spoke to Taylor several times and she was very responsive, polite and knew answers to what I asked.

I ordered a part here for my Mercury outboard motor and when it arrived it would not work correctly. I called them back and got great help from Brandy. She checked for another part and had one and it worked properly and sent it to parts for shipment back to me in 2 days. Best experience I’ve had from this company and recommend them highly.

I called to ask about a product they showed to have for sale. they described it as an exact fit to replace my hydraulic tilt system. I purchased over the phone, it arrived in 5-6 days. I installed the unit on my outboard, it was perfect fit, tested good. Sent my old unit back in same box with prepaid shipping label. Great experience with Southcentral Outboards.
Their service was exceptional and fast. They rebuilt a lower unit for me and also had the prop that I needed as well. The prop was ordered through their eBay store and arrived a day early. I would and do highly recommend them for your outboard motor needs!!!
The quality of workmanship is outstanding!. I thoroughly inspected the work and was very impressed. I thought this unit will last far longer than the 1 year warranty. So I called FedEx and it would cost almost a $100 to ship it back. So I thought why waste a $100. In the trash I thought. BUT at the last minute I decided to call them and ask about the return shipping. They said they would cover the return cost. :)). Can't beat that. Great Service!!
Awesome customer service! I ordered a large part from them and need an additional item. They looked and found it and saved me a ton. When the part arrived it didn't work right so the sent me another one same day. Will always check here first.

I got the wrong part which was a sending unit for a trim Moter I wrote eBay along with south-central and they got right back to me they wanted to To send me the correct unit. However I already ordered one from another site. However in the past I’ve always gotten good parts from south-central they’re always very clean and in good working condition. Good quality and regardless how are always order from them in the future.
