They had some really rare parts for my Altezza. I’m very appreciative that they were there. The price was fair. Service was great. Would go back again.
Needed an engine for my wifes 2007 Subaru Tribeca B9 from the engine growing a knock lol. Wanted to get it back on the road quickly so I called on a Monday and talked to a gentleman that located one and walked me through the online purchase. Literally showed up to my shop the next day by lunch! I put it in that Friday night and finished up Saturday morning and purrs like a kitten! 275 mile check andnno leaks and no lights! These guys saved me! There were like 3 left on the internet in the country this clean and priced right!!! 5 stars from me! For my shop that stays busy and fast this is IT!!!

I bought an automatic transmission for a car. It didn't work after installation. I asked a professional organization to check it. It turned out that the automatic transmission was broken. I found the seller, but he still didn't admit it and didn't want to refund me. I showed him the professional inspection report and he had nothing to say. The most important thing is that the seller actually put the broken automatic transmission on the shelf and continued to sell it. I hope you don' t buy a broken one.

This is the place to get a clean low mileage Jdm engine I am an auto repair shop and I do quite a few engines here when it comes to getting a good Japanese engine thus is it I never had to remove and replace one of there engines a second time and believe me as a shop owner we can’t afford to do the job twice and even more the prices are a lot lower than the junk yards out there Ty
When I'am looking for a clean low mile engine I usually start with JDM Engines Chicago. I have had nothing but good luck with the long blocks purchased and its always a quick n easy transaction. A little re-search goes a long way!
Business sold me wrong transmission easy mistake since I didn't realize there where two varations for my year vehicle. Drove back 3hours to exchange for the correct one. Then charged 300$ more than advertised price for correct one. Just seems like someone is always trying to scam everyone. I have done business before without a issue. But I will not anymore in the future and will tell friends not too
BE CAUTIOUS! I came to this place to purchase a Nissan QR25DE engine and the owner Mike sold me a QR20DE as a 2.5L. The stamp on the engine was a 2.5 but it was a fake 2.5. After I getting the engine installed I test drove it for a week but it did not feel right. So I did a bore test to measure the depth of the engine stroke and it was a 2.0. I went back Mike to let him know he sold me a 2.0 vs a 2.5 and he insisted it was a 2.5. He finally agreed to exchange the engine for a 2.5 and I had to test the engine to make sure that it was the correct engine. I would not trust this business. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Read the other reviews and don’t take them lightly. I thought I’d give them a chance and they tried to sell me a $2,100 paperweight. Engines all hacked out of the car, cut wiring harnesses, etc. Don't waste your time and especially not your money with these guys they do not care about you or your engine
If you are reading this please do not waste your time with going to look at a JDM engines Chicago there staff are out to scam you. Went to go pick up an engine they had on their website for months and the price listed on there website was $2,100 so I called to verify the price and the employee on the phone confirmed that the price was $2100. 6 hours later after getting off work me and a buddy took the hour and a half drive to go pick it up and when we got there they already had it pulled out of the stock and ready for us to take. This is where the issues start to happen when we where looking at the engine we noticed it wasn’t even the one they had pictured on there website, the one pictured was super clean and looked like it was pulled nicely not just cut out of a car with a hacksaw and the one they had was super dirty. But we still wanted it because it doesn’t take much to wash it off lol but when we went to pay, there salesperson wanted more than what he confirmed on the phone 6 hours earlier the same day!! There warehouse is a mess with engines just laying around everywhere. Before going read all the reviews and get an idea of there Business, I’m not the only one who had a bad impression by them.
They lied to me about my engine, sent the the vin # and engine # they gave me the price and when I got there they wanted to give another engine for a different price, I do no recomend this guys. they buy used engines here at the junk yards wash them and sell them as imported fro japan, when I was there he made a deal with a junk yard to pick 2 motors in good shape I heard. I send them a email about how much more for the engine I needed and they never replied back.
Purchased a Honda K24 engine. Dropped in a Honda Element and it runs like a top. All cylinders had great compression and compression was almost exactly the same across all of them. Solid cross hatching in all cylinders, no vertical marks. Valves looked pristine. Took the valve cover off and everything looked brand new. This was a very low mileage engine.
Only complaint is they are more expensive than other Chicago JDM dealers and my engine didn't have an alternator. Doesnt matter though. This engine was totally worth the cost.
Please read and be forewarned. This company is subpar and will try and cheat you if at all possible. I bought an engine from this company only to find out later it was in fact an inferior engine (both in horsepower and displacement) to the one I paid for, but was made to "look" like the correct engine. I purchased on trust and ignorantly went into this purchase thinking they will value and respect me and provide me an honest product. Please don't take this review lightly as litigation is the only way to deal with JDM Engines Chicago in obtaining your money back. From experience, when they are called out on a fraudulent issue, they deny any knowledge and claim they don't know much about engines. They place blame on the customer instead of correcting their error. Don't take all the negative comments for this business lightly and perhaps think that you will be lucky based on your knowledge or experience. There are other reputable jdm engine suppliers in the area, pass on this one. This place is not worth your hard earned money. I hope to avoid any person from dealing with the headaches I encountered with this business. God bless and stay safe.
Walked in and said I needed an engine for a Nissan Sentra, was taken right to them. I pick one out and they held it for me until I could pick it up a few days later. Engine is now in the car and runs great. Nice clean engines.
I bought an ej205 longblock from the guys at jdm engine chicago. I took a trip on a Saturday to chicago and bought the engine from them, the engine was incredibly clean and their shop was very nice/clean. They helped load the engine in my truck and made everything easy for me. They even took split payment for it with no problem. These guys are legit and my engine runs strong thanks to these guys!

Bought a replacement engine for my 2000 outback had low compression on cylinder 1 ended up having a cracked head on that cylinder and despite thier warranty within 30 days he wouldn't even split the repairs all I want is my car back
Purchased an rb20 for a swap. It literally arrived with a broken timing belt and valve soup. Was quite the "verified" engine let me tell ya. Trying to get help from these guys is useless expect zero warranty and a sketchy engine
Poor customer service, bought a vq35de for my 350z. Had a shop install it and it was knocking like no other on startup. They offered zero support or help even though it was within the warranty period
Bought a type r h22 that had "verified" great compression. The engine i received had zero compression on cylinder two. Contacted them because I was within the 30 day warranty and was told I was on my own. Take your money somewhere else.
Saw they had a listing for a Toyota 02-09 2azfe engine on ebay. I called to ask about shipping etc. I ended up just purchasing over the phone and then had the engine shipped to my house had engine in 2 days great customer service as they had called and asked to confirm my shipping address as they had wrote it down wrong. So far a month into this engine and it runs good. Looked good inside as I had to swap over timing cover. Switched out plugs etc. Fired right up. Would give 5 stars but the pallet they shipped on was a teetor totter making it dangerous to unload. Will recommend seller
Save your time and money and buy somewhere else. There’s a reason why the don’t offer an extended warranty. I recently bought a motor and it was knocking. Then when I go and return it the guy gave me a big hassle just to get my money back. To top it off he got aggressive and tried to fight me in the shop. Like who does that. Terrible place.
Bought a jdm D17A motor from them online, installed it in my 03 Honda Civic works great no issues. These guys are super helpful would absolutely recommend.
I bought an engine from JDM in Elk Grove a couple years ago and I couldn't be happier. The engine is still running strong and I would recommend this place to everyone. It was a 1. 7 engine for a 2004 Honda Civic.

I got a vg33e Nissan engine to replace the engine in my girlfriend's Xterra when she snapped timing belt. After discussing with them about me opening the oil pan to examine the engine once I get it home and to replace the oil pan gasket they were okay with it. Upon examination of opening the oil pan I found the engine was extremely sludged even though they had said that all the engines are Dyno tested and I'm inclined to believe them too because these engines are usually Bulletproof even with sludge. Once I found out this I reached out to them and they swapped it out with no issue upon examination to make sure I didn't take anything off. I know a lot of places that would have given me a lot harder time about something like this but these people stand behind their product and would recommend them to anyone who has JDM needs. P. S. The replacement they gave me looked beautiful and runs even better. THANKS GUYS
These guys are very helpful. I bought a Honda accord 1997 trans from them really helpful I recommend this place over the other jdm werahouse in franklin park those guys in franklin park lie about prices and have a guy who can barely speak English running who barely understands questions.
But anyway don't waste your time at the other place buy from these guys!
I've even recommend them to my shop buddies !
