Purchased 4 new tires. Good price and great customer service by Jordan. I wish the tech had cleaned the white lube off the tires and made sure the PSI's were the same. All 4 tires have a different PSI. Overall great experience.

They canceled the appointment that I made on their own website. My appointment was for November 9, 12:00 PM. Appointment ID #146658891265. It’s been snowing since early morning that day, and apparently they got a line of customers, so they decided to selectively cancel those who are less profitable for them. I had my own wheels and only needed mounting and balancing. Apparently, they decided I wasn’t a profitable customer and just informed me that they were “too busy” to take my car at the scheduled time.

Staff members were very friendly and helped recommend the best options for my repair. Service was prompt and they worked with my schedule to make sure I was able to get my problems resolved in a timely manner. Outstanding customer service! I scheduled an appointment online for a battery replacement. I arrived 5 min early. The counter technician greeted me, informed me of my options and asked for my key. Despite being extremely busy, they serviced my truck on time, completed the replacement along with the paperwork in less than 15 min. I’ll continue using PepBoys for all of my battery replacement needs. ?

I returned to the Darien Pep Boys today, as one of the tires they had replaced a few years ago had a slow leak. The checkin process with Jordan was fast and efficient, and he set clear expectations about timing expectations. The work was assessed and completed in under an hour, far exceeding my expectations. I highly recommend Pep Boys, and especially getting their tire road warranty if you are getting new tires.

I took my car get my rear tire fixed. Representative at desk was amazing person and helped me. Service is amazing will visit again and recommend others.

My local Pep Boys closed and I had to find a replacement Pep Boys and they were able to see me quickly for a noise I was hearing from my suspension which turned out to be a damaged strut. They determined it was under warranty and I didn’t have to pay for the strut, just labor. The manager very helpful and the store is conveniently located right off 83.

I was given a fair quote for brake work, lower than two other competing quotes, and tires. Additional inspection found an AC leak, repaired and recharged for a fair price. There was not any upsale pressure. Everything was fully disclosed. Great sales and service team. I will be going back for future repairs.

I scheduled a 5:30 PM appointment at the Darien, IL location for a slow tire leak since I get off work at 5. They called me and asked if I could come earlier, so I arrived at 5:20. When I got there, they told me they couldn’t service my car and that I’d have to leave it overnight because it was too close to closing time. This was a complete waste of my time. If they couldn’t do the job, they should have told me upfront instead of having me rush over for nothing. I went next door instead, and they fixed my tire right away. Won’t be coming back to Pep Boys and will make sure others know about my experience.

Jordan and Chris helped me out. It was snowy and cold. I had a flat tire. They took the tire tried to fix it but there was side wall damage. They picked out a tire to balance the other 3 tires on the vehicle. Put it on the rim, put it in the car and I was off to fix my vehicle. Compassionate men!

These guys are awesome! I woke up to a flat tire this morning. I brought my truck in at 9:30 am and it was fixed by 10:05…..and at no charge. Jordan was really helpful and very easy to work with.

I had a disappointing experience with this shop. I purchased tires that were shipped directly to them and scheduled an appointment through CarAdvise. However, when I arrived, I was told they were uncomfortable changing tires on high-end vehicles. To make matters worse, they asked me to take the tires with me, claiming they didn’t have room to store them. This was especially frustrating as the service was prepaid through a third party.

I purchased tires for my 2005 suburban. When I returned to get my tires rotated the service tech used the incorrect socket size on my lugs. He damaged all of them by beating the wrong sized socket on and off. He also hit my rims chipping paint and denting them with a ball peen hammer which he used to force the incorrect socket on an off. I was told by the assistant manager that they only have metric sockets and he said mine were swollen. My size according to my purchased lug socket set were 7/8. I take great care of my vehicle and while my rims were not perfect, they certainly did not need to be handled this way. I chose to replace my lugs because my socket would no longer work on some of them due to the techs mishandling. It seems to be a trend lately that perhaps new persons are being incorrectly trained. I would not recommend this shop and will no longer use my self.

Caught a nail in my tire. Went to three other tire stores in the area, and was rudely turned down by all of them. Finally got to this pep boys before I was driving on a flat. Was met with unbelievable customer service. They gave me an accurate time to have it patched and my crisis was avoided. Shoutout to Jordan and his team for squeezing me in while they were super busy to avoid further damage. Awesome store will be returning for all my car needs.

Absolutely love this location!!! I brought in my last car over a year ago to get a second opinion on work that my dealership claimed I needed. Chris was able to identify that the work wasn't required and sent me proof. Chris left such a positive impression on me that when my husband was purchasing tires from this location, I recommended he check with them for his tune-up instead of dropping it off to the dealership the next day. Chris and his team were able to do the tires, tune-up and some other miscellaneous work within a few hours for hundreds less! We couldn't be happier! I definitely recommend this location!

I have brought many different makes and models to this location as I use Pep boys for business and my personal vehicles as well. Chris, Jordan and the team here knock it out of the park every time. They are quick to complete maintenance jobs and they keep me in the loop on anything else going on with the vehicles I bring there. I would recommend this Pep boys on Kingery Highway.

Flat tire while late to a dinner! Thank God we were outside this place. Super friendly staff was very helpful. Technician was very knowledgeable. He said it needed to be replaced. Since I was in a hurry, they put in the spare for me quickly and NO Charge. Thanks again guys!

Chris at the front was so helpful, the shop really saved me when I was in a jam. They were understanding when I had to get towed because my car couldn’t make it there, and even gave me a number to call. The final cost was cheaper than their estimate. I arrived to pick up my car and wasn’t talked down to (hard to come by with a lot of shops), simply explained what they did and why. I live kinda far but I’d go back just because of this experience.

Highly recommend this location! Chris, Service Manager, was very knowledgeable and able to get the parts and installed in less than 24 hours. Plus I paid what he quoted me on the phone. Great experience and will definitely be returning when I need my car serviced again.

Loved this location!!! I scheduled an appointment after reading the great reviews. I came in at my scheduled time and they were amazing from start to finish. Very polite and friendly staff. They gave me an estimated time it would take for an oil change and tire inspection. I was so shocked that they performed the services in a faster time than they anticipated. I’m used to waiting hours and hours at a car shop, but Pep Boys in Darien had me out of the door in 40 minutes!!! It was truly a great experience and the main person working the front desk was very kind and professional and extended his well wishes on my travels out of state. I was very happy they were the ones who serviced me, I felt very safe on the road and made it to SC with zero issues. I would highly recommend this location. Especially as a young female, it is hard to find a shop that won’t pull one over on us. I’ve been to so many other shops that were not welcoming or the staff would tell me a thousand things are wrong (and then my dad or brother would inspect my new car and find no issues). That being said, it was SO refreshing to have services with this Pep Boys in Darien. Amazing staff, quick, trustworthy, and thorough (without the bs). Highly recommend!!! 11/10

If I can give less Stars I would. Arrives 15 minutes before closing time doors were locked someone was on the phone and refuse to acknowledge that anybody was even at the door. No service required all I wanted to do is buy a windshield wiper. I wouldn't go to this place for anything you're better off at any other location or even Walmart!
