Excellent service. My dad got stranded on a long trip, truck broke down. auto tech of arcola was able to get out there, pick him & his truck up and take him home 2 hrs away. Paul was super responsive and I couldn't appreciate their team any more. God bless you guys and thanks for everything! You truly saved the day
This tech was out sourced as a third party. Told me he could be there in 2 hours and then when he was suppose to arrive he didn’t show up. I called after waiting 30 more minutes. He sounded drunk and told me he would have his driver call me back and never did. I called the office and they then told me he was having difficulties with his lights and wouldn’t be coming. I’m not sure why he couldn’t tell me that when I called and had me wait with my 11 year old in cold temperatures and darkness (was 7:00pm) outside for over 30 minutes. Wouldn’t recommend
Super friendly service, very quick, super helpful and nice! I had been waiting for almost 4 hours with a different tow service and as soon as we switched to Auto Tech they were there in about 45 mins! Definitely recommend!

Shout out to Brandon when my kid accidentally locked the FOB in the car. Not only did he unlock the car without any damage, he was punctual on his time and also very professional. He looked as though he had been working all day and our dilemma was next on his list. Good Guy! Thank you Sir!
I went downstairs to get in my car for class but realized my car was gone, so I was confused. I called the towing company that works for the apartments I live in, and they said they didn't have it, so I started freaking out. Then I called the cops, but I was informed that the towing company did, in fact, have my car, even though I have a parking sticker. Sometimes it falls off. Once I got there, the guy took me to my car and said, "So, how are you paying the $300?" even though you can clearly still see my sticker in the windshield area; it's just not stuck on the glass. So, I started getting mad because I missed my anatomy class, called the cops thinking my car was stolen, and now I'm having to pay $300 when you can clearly still see my sticker. It's just not on the window. But after some yelling, I guess he had a "change of heart" but made me apologize, even though I didn't mean any of the things I said. I just wanted my car back. Also, I think $300 is a lot for this junkyard towing company on C Street in Charleston, IL.
They were dispatched by Mitsubishi for my tow at 8:00am. Had me waiting up to 5 hours while updating they’ll be to the location in 60, 30, 20 mins. And still nothing. If they couldn’t fulfill the job they should have declined the dispatch. I ended up canceling and went with one of the big guys. Was cheaper and they were to the location in a little over an hour. Guy on the phone was professional, they just drained my day.
Worked with insurance to get a tow set up. Was told that they would pick up the car at noon. At 2:30 the car was still not picked up but when I called they confirmed that the car would absolutely be picked up today. I got a text from the tow at 12:10 am saying "this is ur roadside assistance." At 8:00 the next morning I called the location of the car and they reported that my vehicle was STILL there. I had to call insurance back and reschedule with a different company. I strongly suggest going with a different company as my experience with this one was extremely unreliable.
I’ve been stranded on the side of the road for 2 hours in 92 degree temperatures!!!!!! Only to be told. Our driver is wayyyyyyy behind and have no clue when they’ll be here. What kind of service is this???!!!????? I do NOT recommend this service at all!!
I had a very good experience the first time I called this place. The guy on the phone was extremely nice and helpful. Unfortunately, I had to cancel the tow call because the shop I was taking my car to canceled on me. I had to pay through my insurance in order to book the tow call. The same guy I talked to before confirmed to me the payment had been received on their end. I was hoping to find another shop to take my car in the next couple of days. He and I had an agreement so I wasn’t expecting a refund.
I had to cancel the claim completely because could not find a shop to take the vehicle to within reasonable amount of time. A couple of weeks have passed and I have not received a refund. After making several calls to my insurance company I decided to try calling them to see if they could see that claim and somehow issue the refund or direct me on what to do.
A lady answered the phone this time who was extremely frustrated with my questions. She denied payment receipt. So I requested to talk to the other guy, who she said was her husband and who had confirmed the payment receipt with me. She refused to let me talk to him, she said her husband would not tell me something different. She was very rude, condescending, and her treatment was total opposite of what good customer service should be about. I hope I am never in need to have to use this company. It would definitely not be the company of my choice. Very unfortunate experience.
This garage cannot be trusted. My insurance roadside assistance called this outfit to tow my car. Instead of towing it to my mechanic, as instructed, he towed it to his storage yard and held it hostage all week until insurance paid to get it out. Unreal. Unprofessional and untrustworthy. Don’t use these guys. They’re hustling.
Terrible customer relations by phone, stated if your wanting free advice I don't know what to tell you. At that point I decided I would never use this business. Only requested to know if there were places that could look in to a specific problem so I would have a destination to be towed to. I found someone better with better equipment and a lot more knowledge for a better price. 4-29-23 at 2:57 PM CST was when the call was placed. Not a good attitude from this place of business. Only got one star because it is the minimum for the ability to post, actually a ZERO Star
The guy I had was very nice. He explained why getting into my car is hard and explained the whole process. He never made me feel bad for locking my own keys in my car. Overall it was a great experience, and I would 10/10 recommend.
Do not use this business for towing. My daughter's vehicle needed to be towed and we set up the tow with the owner and gave him the credit card information. 6 hours later the car was still not towed. My daughter called to ask when it would be towed and the lady that answered the phone rudely told my daughter that the tow had not been paid for and that they would not tow the vehicle. When my wife called the person answering the phone stated that the owner was out of town and had not given them the information, and then advised that we should use someone else. I would advise everyone to stay away from this business.
Very slow!!! Waited over 5 hrs waiting to get towed cause they chose to send the tow truck driver to someone else who had a flat tire instead of taking care of me first when i placed my issue first.
Called for a tow through my insurance company and I got a call immediately from the receptionist who was very nice! I had requested a time for the tow but due to a very busy schedule they couldn’t come at the the time I requested but they did help me and made sure I got my Jeep safely to where I was having it worked at. Brandon was the driver and let me say he was the best tow driver I have ever worked with. I have never seen a more beautiful and amazing tow job!
In town, their driver half-blew through a stop sign and almost hit me, then proceeded to tailgate me for 15 miles on a county highway, even though I was going noticeably over the limit. Even though they were driving a loaded truck with a vehicle strapped to the back, they were so close the only thing I could see in my mirror was the front grill of the truck. Stupid, unsafe, and extremely unprofessional.
Went from a tire change to a tow and the driver was here but didn’t tow me and had no ETA. Never showed up and ended up cancelling. Was stranded for 5+ hours.
Called at 2:40 and spoke with a gentleman who was very nice. Informed him that I was on Interstate 57 South with my 2 small children . He stated he would be able to help me in 45 mins because he was coming from Champaign. At 3:18, I called back just to see how long it would be before he got here. The lady on the phone didn’t know anything. She placed me on hold and returned back to the phone and said it was going to be another 45 mins! I informed them that I have small children in the car with me and they should not have guaranteed me a time if they weren’t certain!! After talking to the lady on the phone and explaining to her my frustration she gets smart saying, “if I call him back and tell him that you’re upset and already been waiting 45 mins, he still won’t get to you faster”. At this point horrible customer service!!!! Called another company and they got to me in 5 minutes!! DO NOT RECOMMEND
Iam a tow truck driver for tuscola pro towing and recovery and I have picked up cars from arcola auto tech and have gotten great service from Paul or his wife ann great job good team work keep it up ps. Towman wade hollenbeck
Unfortunately they didn't have what I needed, but they were very helpful... the lady actually called around to other places and she sent me some leads on my messenger as well to help me out.
I cannot begin to thank you for driving all the to the far west side of Decatur to help me unlock my keys and phone out of my van AND ON YOUR ANNIVERSARY!!! GOD BLESS YOU SIR....I.was a complete train wreck.so helpless since no one in Decatur wanted to help me even though I have roadside assistance ....you are an honorable man and I have blasted your business all over FB!! I got a flat tire in 95,degree heat today. I called roadside assistance and they sent you guys out. Jeff was so helpful to me and my kids. To so much for your quick response
