Village Towing in Schiller Park provided truly outstanding customer service. At around 3:00 AM, in the middle of a snowstorm, they spotted me stopped on the expressway near O’Hare and pulled over to make sure I was okay. They even came back around to help me and did so incredibly quickly.
They were honest, professional, and genuinely caring, and their main focus was getting me safely off the expressway in really tough conditions. It’s rare to find that level of integrity and kindness, especially in the middle of the night. I’m extremely grateful and highly recommend Village Towing.
They refused to return my vehicle, for the reason I was there 10 minutes prior to closing time. Which added to another day of charge. The owner Joe Lena is a unprofessional person with huge ego.

My car was towed after an accident, and what should’ve been a straightforward process turned into a masterclass in predatory billing. I was quoted $95/day for storage (for a regular sedan), which is already eyebrow raising, but it gets better — they stacked on an endless list of mystery fees: an $80 “administrative” charge, an $85 “letter/office” fee, and a $100 “cleanup” charge for sweeping up glass. All of this with zero written documentation, just numbers thrown at me over the phone like I’m supposed to accept them on faith.
When I asked where these fees came from, they claimed “it’s compliant with ICC” but couldn't provide a single piece of proof unless I came in person. For a company handling people’s cars after accidents — literally the moments when people are most vulnerable — the lack of transparency is wild.
Do your homework before dealing with them. Every single charge should be backed by actual law, actual documentation, and actual integrity. I didn’t see any of that here. If you value fairness, clarity, and basic professionalism, choose a company that operates above-board.
Literally disgusting! This place doesn’t even deserve one star. They towed my father’s car and lied multiple times about the car being in non drivable condition. It’s an absolute scam. A group of completely dishonest people work here - they’ll empty your car, pocket the nicer items for themselves and sell the rest they don’t want up front. Plus they’ll lie to your face and tell you it’s not your stuff- and go as far as to curse in your face and tell you to leave the building when you have physical proof that it’s yours. Absolutely disgusting. Stay as far away from this towing company as you can.
Beware this place likes to illegally tow then damage your car during the process to get you to come to their auto shop. Owner is rude and takes zero accountability for his tow drivers and the damage they cause during these illegal tows. And the time, money and stress they place in people's lives. UNEXCEPTABLE!! Complaints to BBB have been submitted. They are currently under investigation. Also exposing them to all media platforms, to warn people and save what we consider a NIGHTMARE.
This place is a total scam charged me 600 dollars wasn’t even a full day they charging 95 dollars a day if you get your car taking make sure you get it right away if not they try really hard to keep your car might be the worse towing place I ever been to I pray no ever walks in here n pays them
This past May I was involved with a Hit and Run and my front bumper was all dented and scratched up. Village Auto took such great care and put in the work to go the extra mile. She came back to me showroom ready. Polished, buffed, detailed, and washed. I was given constant updates and I knew my car was in the right hands. Their automotive and body team did a spectacular job and I couldn’t be happier. Nothing beats experience, courtesy, and a smile. The team of Village Auto will take care of you and your team vehicle and treat you like family.
Cry Baby Karen (Yes, her name is Karen)
So for two years I lived in the area, and multiple times I was told by my office that I'm allowed to call and have people towed if they're blocking my space. And for two years, when I try to call, they ask for all this information about myself, my space, and the details of the car I want towed. But they never do anything. They never send anyone out. Ever.
For two years they been completely useless to helping. I work from 6am to 6pm daily, I don't have time to be sitting here and waiting for the person to get their car. I call Vic's Towing one more time and she says "oh we weren't allowed to help before but now we are after last week".... like no, for years I'm told and was given information on calling you guys to help for years. Last week was another incident I reported to the office which then really upset the office that this whole time Vics Towing has never helped. Ever. So they enforced to Vics that they need to start helping when people call.
So Karen herself, and that company for 2 years, has been ignoring the rules at by the office until last week where my office got upset with them for not responding. They answer the phone, get all this detail, and never call back to say they'll help, they're on the way, nothing. So I've been left stuck and unable to park for over an hour when I need to eat and sleep for work the next day.
After they FINALLY come to get the car blocking my space, Karen calls my personal phone AGAIN to then complain, cry, yell, and throw a tantrum that I didn't call her to let her know my neighbor left and it allowed me to park.
Why have you guys never called back for 2 years that I lived here and needed your help MANY TIMES and never once was i told "Hey, we're completely useless and will not do our jobs to help the residents"? And you're upset with me? For finally getting into my home and showering? I had just got out the shower and she's spam calling my phone.
What a grown adult woman tantrum. Then she has the NERVE to play victim and say "this is because I'm a woman!" Like no Karen, it's because your company never communicates, calls, or does the only thing you were hired to do by the office, Karen. That's why, Karen.
What a pathetic display and immature cry baby tantrum i have ever witnessed. But I expected nothing less from Karen as she has a big reputation with the other residents too.

A guy named George helped me get my car back after it was towed due to a mix up. I was beside myself when I went to pick it up and he offered me a tissue, gave me the information, and generally showed me a lot of kindness when I needed it most. Thank you!
Son's car was struck and totaled while parked in front our home. Elmwood Park Police Department TOLD - (not asked, not given options) TOLD me it was being towed and by whom. That was a Sunday night. By Tuesday mid day, the total charges to get the car out of Village Auto Body and Towing's lot was $950. Because my son, as the legal owner, is a touring musician and was out of state at the time with his band, we had to wait until his return to obtain a release letter from EPPD and retrieve the vehicle. We retrieved the car the following Monday, so one week and one day. We we charged $1,749.76, which included paying them to tow the vehicle back to my home (the scene of the accident) for $162. They charged an initial towing charge of $325, and admin fee (?) of $80, a letter and office fee (?) of $85 and clean up $100 (for sweeping glass off the street) and an additional winching fee of $75 to pull the car onto the street where they... you guessed it... wiched it onto the flatbed truck, per towing SOP. Storage was $95 a day. Wanna use your credit card? Add 4% (a common business practice these days...). Do you think this is a racket? I'll let you be the judge. You can tell by the number of stars I've left what I think.
Their mechanics are awesome. Always transparent and fair pricing. Have never felt like we’ve been taken advantage of in the +10 years we’ve gone here. Will travel back to here once we leave the area.
Absolutely terrible service! We provided proof of insurance the same validation we gave to the police station and they will not give us our vehicle. These ppl are here to rip everyone off, keeping your car so they can charge you more making it impossible for you to get back. They also take belongings from your car and sell them at the counter for $2!
Village Auto & towing have been right on the mark when diagnosing and repairing my car (s). trust in your mechanic is still an important thing to me and Village. I have found then=m to fair and honest on repair times and cost.. thank you village auto
Ledies and gentlemen heres a tow company that thinks its alright to take a DISABLED VETERANS vehicle out of a HANDICAPPED parking spot. Wonder how these people can even feel good about themselves.
I had called ahead of time, I was in the area so they told me to come in to get my information. They literally had 4 people in doing practically nothing and had me standing there for 15min without even acknowledging me at all. When they finally did, they had me wait another 10 before I finally walked out and went next door. The service there was quick and easy, Vic’s towing company was truly amazing.
They were very helpful and polite. We forgot some stuff in the car and they let us come back to grab the rest. My husband also dropped his wallet there and they let him know right away.
We have been using Village Auto Body for over 20+ years. and again great services on my car. I have had them tow me also when in need. I have AAA for bad weather jumps and flat fixes but i trust Joe and Vito to onle give me the service i need and not something i dont... Penny & Scott & Nancy
had my car towed recently after a battery malfunction and my car was completely scratched up where the tow truck was hooked up. I believe the car was dragging when they hooked it up as well because there was damage underneath. While dealing with the receptionist, she had an attitude and seemed incompetent in handling any of the paperwork. I would not recommend using this towing company, save yourself the extra costs in damage for when they tow it.
500 to tow from an accident, wouldn't take it where we wanted. Could have just left it and gotten a tow for 100. Kick back scam to Harwood heights police. Basically old chicago mafia type business. Be careful they try to steal your car
Was referred by Wernick Locksmith for a lockout on a Chevy Tahoe in our condo association parking lot in the 60656 area. Called the office and was very impressed with the polite service. Tow driver came quickly and was extremely polite and a "God send". No scratching or damage done to the car. Highly recommend. Awesome experience. This place is a bit further away from my house, but we'll worth the drive. I always get taken care of with every issue I come with. Vito the guy always helping me out is definitely all about making the costumer happy and loves what he does. Every time I'm there and someone comes in I only hear them asking if Vito is there. So if you need your car fixed something replaced or just checked out I recommend you go see them. Vito is the guy to go to.
Need a good mechanic? Very reasonably priced? AND a nice guy too? Go there and see Vito. He will fix your vehicle as quickly as possible. They also do excellent body work. In Schiller park. You will not be sorry.
My family and I have been taking our vehicles to Vito for years! He does great work, on time and at very very fair prices.
