easy in, easy out. they replaced a broken AC compressor and a few other items for me. options were given and explained, the cost and time estimate was accurate, and the total bill was fair and pleasantly less than my worst-case expectation. if i were local, i wouldn't hesitate to bring my car to them regularly.
Came to the shop with broken exhaust pipe. Left the car for representatives to be expected over the weekend. Received a call on Sunday, was told that it will cost $500 to repair, told representatives that I probably will take the car and show it to another shop. Came on Monday to take my car back. Payed $50 for inspection and didn't even get a copy of an inspection, employee told me they can't print it. Then they gave me papers, where actual cost of replacement of this particular pipe was $1500. I refused and took my keys. Started engine and saw Check Engine Light and instantly felt bad smell of exhaust gasses. When I brought the car there were no smells or check engine lights. Came back to employee instantly, said that something is wrong, in reply he just smiled in my face and said they didn't do anything.
Another car service fixed the problem for $300)))

Blew my front tire 4 minutes away from this place. I called in a frenzy, because of COURSE I had my 6 year old out with me and we were no where near home on a Sunday. They were open and Mr. Mundo was patient and very informative when I wheeled my poor chevy in.
I'm a HORRIBLE car-parent, but I now know all the work that needs to be done, how much it will cost me, and how to be a better car parent thanks to the mechanics here.
Did I mention I'm poor? So thank GOODNESS for the credit card options (with discounts) they have! I wouldn't have been able to foot all the work on my car without it!

I came to this location because I was in the area. I usually go to the Plainfield location and even had an appointment scheduled there for today. However, since I was near the Schaumburg location which is also a corporate location I decided to stop by. Worst mistake ever.
The people here are trying to rip customers off. I was quoted one price, but when it came time to pay for the A/C check, the price had doubled. They’re charging $60 when it should only be $10 at corporate locations. To confirm, I called the Plainfield location and asked about the A/C check pricing. They told me that across all corporate Firestone locations, it should be $10 no more.
Please save your money and time—never come to this location. These people will rip you off, and you won’t even realize it until it’s too late.
Michael Hansen was extremely rude and clearly knew what he was doing was wrong. After I called him out on the way they were trying to con their customers, he decided not to charge me for the service—because he knew he had made a mistake and got caught in a lie.

My ask is for YOU to be patient and UNDERSTANDING. If you bought an extended warranty through some type of outside company I would ask you to get the pre-approval first before you walk into my shop extended warranty companies sometimes take 2 to 3 days to approve,

Went above and beyond because I had a ram 3500 that they didn’t have a lift big enough to support it but were willing to still get the 2 front tires I needed to get me back on the road quickly. Thank you Firestone!!
Quick, easy to work with, hit a snag and the team helped quickly resolve the issue for me by directing me to the likely appropriate person at my company and hooking me up with a rental pickup from the Enterprise across the street. :) Really good team over there!
Whew !!!! What an experience. Gentlemen called Matt doesn't quite know what customer service is, and yet he is only man on shift and at front desk. First of all, he doesn't know how to listen, and secondly, he is like a voice machine repeating what he thinks is right.
I have been here before the weekend and was quoted for 2 front tires and given a few options by a gentleman. And back here on Monday morning, greated by the same gentlemen, and he confirmed I can be back at 1PM for 2 front tires changes and oil change. Unfortunately, at 1PM, the gentlemen who booked me for 1PM was not here but just Matt. Explained, but Matt said there was no booking at 1 PM, and I could come back after a week with another appointment??? Tried explaining. However, I just keep hearing the same words again and again asking me to be back later next week as they are fully booked(how should i care if they are busy or not when i was booked for 1 PM). I requested to speak to store manager, but without me finishing my words I was said manager Is on a call and I might end up waiting for 2 hours, without even checking with manager, no attemptswere made to speak to his superiors ....overall what an awful Experience!!
On top of that manager Mundo is another guy who has to work on his customer service, as i was met with a full-on attitude and trying to blame me and keep interrupting me.
I wouldn't recommend this shop to any of my friends...
They may be selling USED TIRES for really HIGH PRICES !!!
I replaced my sedan vehicle’s tire here 10 months ago on January and I only did 15K mile since then. They had charged me 403$ claiming that the “tire” was high quality(See SS below) When I went there yesterday, they measured the thread depth below 5 which is very bad. How is that even possible for a brand new high quality tire to wear out that much? I suspect they had given me an already used tire otherwise they would offer me a warranty coverage. Instead; they told me that I should have had my tire rotation properly! That’s what they suggested. Am I supposed to have tire rotation every other month? Please be careful with what you are getting from this place
Compared to the difficulty waiting at the chaotic dealership, this was a nice, pretty in-and-out experience at the Firestone. Getting new tires can be done in an hour -- impressive. And I like the economical SureDrive tire options now. I had further work on a check engine light, and the consultant was straightforward. Most options presented were logical, whether I accepted all of them or not; only one option suggested on a previous visit I thought was gratuitous and uninformed. I also didn't like that the "diagnostic fee" was not woven into the costly repair that I then accepted. But overall, I found this Firestone a pleasant and convenient experience -- getting two sets of tires replaced on two cars, plus ignition coils replaced on one that turned out to solve a lingering problem (that the dealership should have caught).
Most recent visit: I have liked this Firestone for lack of wait times, for quality of service, for good communication. It offers quality products, and the crew is good about working with you, with being flexible. This time, more "suggested" or "recommended" services were pushed, based only on what's in Firestone's own records about the vehicle, not taking into account that regular maintenance might have been done elsewhere -- so the customer should be asked first; the customer should not feel pressured to make a quick decision as a result of a crew member calling a service "recommended" as if there's a problem. I also didn't love a $120 "electric diagnostic charge" just to determine why a headlamp wasn't working; the headlamp could have just been changed first. That diagnostic charge seems steep.
This time, a brake job was suggested, and it's true, this was one service that I knew was coming. The suggestion was supported with details on the brake wear. The service rep went a little far in suggesting front brakes based on their measurements -- "while we have it, it's easier to change them all" -- and if it weren't for a nagging pulsation up front, I might have gone another year or two with the current front brakes. I did like that I could ask for and receive upgraded brakes and rotors (that are coated). So cross my fingers that helps with persistent brake issues.
Great buying experience today! Remigio and his team did a great job at educating me on the importance of installing the right tires on my truck. They got me what i needed at a great price and installed in and out in no time. Thank you and I look forward to bringing my other vehicles here also.

Used to have a staff I trusted but over winter it seems like my favorite mechanics left.
Update: Honesty has left the building. They now inflate charges, hide costs when calling and talking about what to fix, hide the breakdown of the charges when at the cashier, even hide the price on the card swipe machine. Feels like buying a car from a sleezy used car lot instead of how it was years ago at this location.
Horrible service this place is a damn scam I took my vehicle in just for a tune up. It was inherited and has always had its regular maintenance done. I wanted to prevent issues not that there was anything wrong with it but some minor rough idle. Because i mentioned that they tried saying I had a oil gasket leak and ripped my air filter in a way that’s not natural in a attempt to get more money, said my belt was bad which its not at all, and suggested a list of unnecessary stuff. I told them going in I work on my own vehicles just didn’t have time to do a tune up myself. They still tried to pull a fast one on me like if I don’t know what I’m looking at. Then to top it all off starting it up in the parking lot it hesitated and it had no issues starting before I took it here. I will highly suggest going somewhere else this is the second vehicle I’ve had them work on with this type of service and issues afterwards.
They will try to charge you full price, when they know they have a promotion going on. I went in with an AC problem and right on the website it says $19.99 for AC testing and diagnosis, but they quoted me $50 and "probably a little bit more for recharge if that is the issue." After 90 minutes, they wanted $276 for them to recharge the freon. I ended up driving down to the Auto Zone where it cost me $50 to refill the freon and took maybe 30 seconds to untwist a cap and hook up the can. $50 vs $300 for that is straight robbery from this business!
I will never ever! Bring my car back to this location after coming here my car is making loud noises. My car was in great shape and quite. After getting a rotation they obviously did something wrong or I wouldn’t be hearing loud noises now. I brought my car in was told they didn’t hear anything. How can I clearly hear it but they can’t! He made sure to put that in the new report! Then the so called manager lied about putting the tires back like they were before I guess he thought I was dumb enough to believe they did it in less than 10 minutes. He then told me I needed new struts which was a lie!. I just had them inspect my car and it didn’t need any work just two weeks ago. So he says I need a service that I don’t actually need. That says a lot about trusting these people with your car. He then brought up the mileage on my car which had nothing to do with anything. But if you didn’t hear anything why would you say that. I usually would see a guy named Mike. But it was another guy saying he was manager he is a liar and very deceptive. I definitely would never trust this location with my car again! I knew he was lying the whole time he was talking to me I marked my tires to see if they were put back and they weren’t! I also found it weird how my tire then also had a nail in it after coming to this shop they are scammers! BE CAUTIOUS COMING TO THIS LOCATION!
I had an appointment for an oil change that I made earlier in the day. They had me in and out within the hour. Both the vehicle service and customer service were good.
My husband and I had a horrible experience here. He needed his wheel completely replaced (tire and rim) and he was called later on with a price. He was told “the wheel will be ~$400 plus taxes” and he agreed to do the service. He got an alignment and an oil change as well, but no more than $550 expected. We got the call that the total was well over $800. I called to ask and when I told him that we were quoted $400 he said “yeah for the wheel”. It ONLY the rim that was $400 and he did not disclose the total to us. If I am being told “you need your whole wheel replaced. The wheel will be $400” I am usually under the impression that isn’t just part of the wheel. When mentioning he never told us it would cost over $800, he did agree that he never told us that total. We are not happy about this as it cost us almost twice what was quoted and at the end they were only able to take about $100 off with coupons. Do not go here unless you have the total IN WRITING.
Their tires wear out in less than a year and before 15K miles. Do Not buy tires from here!!! They may tell you to have your rotation properly if you complain!!!
