Fabulous experience at Acorn Tire & Service in Schaumburg Ill. I needed tires and was on vacation. Poor planning but living in Southwest MO did not give Goodyear options in town that satisfied me. The weather was clear so we drove up and I hoped I would be able to pull this off in 3 days over the Fourth of July weekend. The guys at Acorn Tire had the tires in 20 minutes and me back with my car in no time. What a huge relief. Driving home we hit a lot of rain but were all safe with new boots on our car. Friendly, fast, thoughtful service. Excellent value with reasonable prices. Thank you guys. Much appreciated!
Beyond nice and attentive. Earlier on that day, my back left tire blew out on I-55 and I was in desperate need of a new tire. Keep in mind, i live in the suburbs. I called to see if they can possible fit me in (as they were the closest to my home) to install 2 new tires (my other 2 were fairly new) and possible check my rims. Within 30 minutes they had both my tires in stock and within an hour, my tires were installed! During the wait time, the guy at the front was super funny and answered all my questions about possible problems with my car. He even helped me navigate places I could possibly go to get a better diagnostic. Will be going back in the future
I came in with a very clear issue — a jarring sound when applying the brakes, likely due to worn rotors and brake pads. I simply asked if someone could sit in the car with me for a moment to confirm what I suspected. Instead, I was told it would cost $80 just for diagnostics, and that no one was even available to take a look — not even to sit in for 30 seconds.
I wasn’t asking for a full teardown or repair, just a quick expert opinion to confirm what was already obvious. As someone without formal training, I was able to reasonably diagnose the issue myself. I expected a professional shop to offer at least basic courtesy, especially with such a straightforward problem. Instead, I was told to leave the car and come back on a weekday, with little care or concern shown.
The experience felt dismissive and transactional, not customer-focused. I won’t be returning
Nice customer service! Rick was really patient with me and my concerns about the car. After I got new tires, they helped me to inspect the issue I had with noise in the car caused by front brake rotors and pads. I’m planning to come back.

Irving the store manager was great explaining us what was needed to be done and Victor was the guy that took care of our car. People like this are the ones that make a difference when it comes to service and make a costumer want to come back.

I have been using this particular Goodyear franchise since 1988 that began on Higgins & Roselle Roads in Hoffman Estates. I have aways found their service to be excellent and honest & trustworthy.
Irvin & team are awesome. They completed a repair for me promptly, and were more than fair on price. The waiting room has comfortable seats and a Smart TV. Highly recommended!!

People, please respect yourself and don’t go there. Managers and employee have no clue what they are doing there. I don’t think their “mechanics “ really knows or understand in a German cars (Mercedes-Benz) or ever been trained!!! My own experience was awful.
So, I had a flat tire, I brough it to them to patched. In that moment I came on a spare tire. I came in a service one guy greeted me I explained what happened plus I mentioned that I’m in a rush , he sured me that they will be done with my tire( patching) in about 30 min. While they did that I went to the store and bought some groceries. I put all my grocery in a trunk ( later on you will understand why I’m writing that, that I knew exactly how my trunk looked like). When I came to pick up my tire I asked them if they can put original tire and my spare tire leaved in my trunk where originally should go. They said yes we do that and it’s included with your pay! So he said they need another 15 min…. Sure….no problem! Finally after in total one hour and 15 min one guy came to me and gave me my keys and said your car is on a front and ready to do . I thanked him and went out. Before taking off I had a feeling to look on a back in my trunk how did they place this spare tire on a top of my cover or actually placed where it originally should go. When I looked I was shocked …. They broken my cover opener. So it looked like they couldn’t opened and they took a screwdriver and tried to lifted but they chipped . So they still didn’t opened ,they picked up the whole cover by themself with hands… I’ll attached pictures below. Plus they didn’t place the spare tire normally( they probably didn’t know how) , the cover was sticking out and the lid wasn’t closed. OMG , when I saw this I immediately went inside and tell the same guy who gave me a keys and he ,of course denied and said they didn’t do that . So I left because I didn’t have time i had to meet my son from school . It took them more time to fixed than they promised …. While I was driving home I called the service right away and asked for manager. When I explained situation he asked me to sent the pictures on their email and he will address this problem to a GM. He said GM will call me tomorrow . So I waited next day for their call , nobody called me, I called them myself and asked for a GM ! When a GM ( or head of the managers) started talking to me , I explained the whole situation. He said it can’t happened , he trust his guys, his employee and he didn’t even apologize ! OMG, he made me look like a lier…. !!!! I felt so bad like never before…. I felt like I was fooled and I wanted to cry!
People, please respect yourself and don’t go there! Stay away from them!!! Don’t wast your time and money. Because if something will happen with your car or if they break it they will never admitted and they will make you look like a lier! Btw this is my first bad review that I wrote in my life!
PS: like 4 month before this situation my husband went there and bought all new Michelin tires from them and spent $1700 . And here we come! What an awesome appreciation to the return customers!
I have always been very pleased with the service of Acorn Tires; I have never been disappointed with the service, with the personnel who attended to what my car needed and the attention the personnel gave to my car.
Justin and his staff were very attentive to my issues. After running diagnostics on my car, they provided me with a list of need repairs and a cost. They provided me a ride home because the repair job was too take 3 to 4 hours. When the repairs were done, they picked me up at home a d returned to the shop. I have found the Acorn service and staff to be friendly and dependable.
Need to get rid of new 4% credit card fee policy. First of all, credit card company is maybe a 2.9% charge to the merchant, according to my bank when I inquired. When you stop the “nickle and diming” charge, you’ll get my business back. Until then, I’ll shop elsewhere for tire service. Bad policy.
Mechanics in the shop do a good job. I’ve been using Acorn for many years, up to this point.
I made an appointment the day before for an oil change. They took me promptly and were done in about 20 mins. They let me know other repairs my car needs and priced it out for me. I’ve had other work done with them and it’s always great service. Highly recommend & will return.
Acorn has been our go-to place for over 10 years. We moved and still go out of our way to bring our cars there because they go out of their way for us. Acorn Tire & Service Schaumburg: Overpriced and Unethical
I took my car to Acorn Tire & Service in Schaumburg for a check engine light and ended up feeling completely ripped off. As soon as I walked in, I got a bad vibe from the shady looking employees. They must have sensed I don't know much about car repairs because they immediately started trying to upsell me on all these "necessary" extra services. The repair cost just kept piling up into the thousands! I felt like they were straight up lying to take advantage of me. When I expressed hesitation about the unexpected high costs, the manager immediately started lowering the cost of the overpriced services. The end result was overpriced, I knew it and paid it. I needed my car. With an appointment from 3 days prior it took 7 hours to replace a $35 part. The bill was over $550. What a terrible experience. I wish I had gone to the Firestone just up the road instead. Do yourself a favor and avoid Acorn Tire & Service at all costs unless you want to get ripped off. There are plenty of more honest and reasonably priced options. I’m not saying that Firestone is one of them but it would have been way better than these jokers. Don't make the mistake I made!
Always friendly welcoming explains everything. I don't worry about being told I need something when I really don't. Any service I've had has always been well done, never a problem. I am thankful to have a "go to" place I can trust.
Friendly service as soon as I walked in. Was greeted and asked what I needed. Very quick with my tire change. They took the time to tell me about other repairs my car needed, keep me up to date on information.
I had my car with a flat right-rear tire towed into Acorn with the towing service that Acorn recommended. The fact that they had a towing service that they trusted, and also recommended it, was quite helpful. My car arrived at about 05:45 P.M. Given that Acorn closes at 07:00 P.M., I am quite grateful that they promised to have my tire repaired by the close of business and promised to do so at a quite reasonable price. They were on target with their schedule and price. I am quite satisfied with the service that I received.
