If there were a zero or even a minus five rating, that’s what I’d give this place.
This is the first time I’ve ever experienced this kind of attitude from store employees. He’s just a regular worker doing a regular job. I could maybe understand that behavior if he actually owned the store. But he doesn’t. He’s just an employee, yet he acts like he owns the place.
I’ve shopped at this chain many times and never had any problems. But this location is different. I bought tire chains at an O’Reilly store in Nevada for $160. I never even put them on my tires. Since I didn’t end up needing them, I decided to return them. This employee insisted they were used. I know for a fact they were never used.
I was hoping to deal with honest people. Instead, I felt like I was being accused of something I didn’t do. I left the chains there and didn’t take a single dollar back, just to show that not everyone is as petty as they were acting.
I do not recommend this particular store. The employees here are unprofessional.
And if you end up reselling those chains, maybe consider donating that money to charity for kids in need.
Go to this O’Reilly in Hickory Hills, not the AutoZone across the street! They have better customer service, better prices, and their system works.
I went to AutoZone for a cap. I gave them my license plate and VIN…. but they couldn’t find my vehicle in their system. They asked for my make and model, which I gave, then if it was a 4 or 6 cylinder. I was pretty sure it was 6 but wasn’t definite. When I said I didn’t know, the guy helping me made a comment I considered rude: “Usually people know that information.” I didn’t feel comfortable guessing 6 if I wasn’t sure.
I went back to my Jeep to check, but couldn’t find anything to confirm it. By the time I came back, it was another guy helping me. When I returned and said 6, they found a cap matching the illustration on mine, so it was 6 cylinder. The radiator cap I needed was over $100 and wasn’t in stock at AutoZone… He had a different cap in hand and said I could get that one, but I didn’t want to buy a cap that didn’t match mine. When I asked the difference, he said…. I don’t know, they’re both caps……

Anyways, I didn’t buy anything and went to O’Reilly.
Oscar at O’Reilly was helpful from the start. He has a Jeep too, so from personal knowledge, he knew it was most likely a 6 cylinder. Their system actually worked, and he confirmed it for me … plus, to double-check, he even came outside to look at it. I didn’t expect him to do that, so when I noticed O’Reilly went the extra mile while AutoZone didn’t … especially after I had to go outside several times to get my VIN and figure out the cylinder count … I really appreciated it. Oscar suggested checking it right away and explained to me why I most likely needed a new cap. He seemed very knowledgeable. Plus, the exact cap my auto shop said I needed was $55 cheaper in O’Reilly .
Oscar was great … don’t waste your time or money at AutoZone in Hickory Hills... Go to O’Reilly!
Stopped to get my van get diagnosed during these frigid temperatures to find out Mohammed offered himself to go out and complete the scanning.... mind you that it was close to closing. Printed diagnose paperwork and explained what I needed to do. Then asked for oil, he walked with me and helped me pick the type of oil I needed. NOT only that, went out checked oil and filled it!!!! Frigid temperature and close to closing.... if this is service then I don't know what is! Thank you so much for your help, you just don't know how much I appreciate it!
Recently have been dealing with Oscar and Gustavo - great employees always with a smile and willing to help you! Again, this will be my favorite auto part store!!!!
Usually I have a great experience here, always was able to buy what I needed and parts always fit but this time one of the employees was extremely annoyed with the questions I was asking and refused to help me. I went to a different oreillys and they told me that the guy had no idea what he was doing and they were easily able to help me out. Will return to this store but if I see that employee working there again, I am leaving straight out the door and driving an extra 15 minutes to a different oreillys at my inconvenience.
Gracing is awesom!!!! She was very helpful and knowledgeable about selecting the right parts the right price. I have had some people who tell me the wrong parts and I get home with the car halfway stripped down and sure enough wrong Parts not with her she is awesome and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. I like this O'Reilly's the best out of all the ones that I go to. Westaff like her I will definitely go back
Needed help with ex wifes dead battery. Victor diagnosed electrical system. Alerted us to bad altenator. Noted battery was bought there and still under warranty. Saved her $200. I will shop there instead of the auto zone across the street from now on.

Victor, the store manager, is the MAN and very friendly + knowledgeable about cars and intelligent in general. His and his staffs service is EXCEPTIONAL, UNMATCHED, and his staff and him should be RECOGNIZED by O'Reilly's and taken care of by the company. They represent them very well and hopefully the company knows that, so I'm writing this post! Thanks Victor!
Management left an associate by himself on a Saturday so I tried to be patient. But he couldn’t find what I was looking for, even though it was on the app and he said that he saw 8 were in inventory on his computer. Then a line formed and he had to get to them. So I’m waiting for a part but he has 3 customers waiting and more keep coming in. I didn’t end up getting what I needed. Waste of my time. Not blaming the associate but management could’ve planned better.
My check engine light came on and my car was severely hesitated and stuttering. I thought I would knew a new transmission or something. Gabe scanned the codes for me and suggested that I change the spark ⚡️ plugs. He pulled the right parts and explain well how to install them. I did the repair myself for $17 and it worked!!!! Thanks for the concern and stellar customer services. This is why I always choose ORE for all my auto part needs.
Unprofessional customer service, make mistakes in parts description and selection. Don’t honor warranty on the parts they sell. Had this experience twice at this location
Theresa and Moe are the best they really took care of me when I need some part when I did needed it at the last minute and the mange to go out of there way to help me BIG THANK YOU ☺️ and definitely 5 stars ?
These associates must have smoked pot before I came in to buy a battery, because they must have went into the store 5 times to find a wrench to disconnect my battery cables, and I end up replacing the battery myself in the parking lot while they watched me!
Mr. Ray was incredibly nice and overall a generous person when it came to asking questions. He made sure to double check and inform about anything we were looking for. Excellent employees like him are very rare and make any day better!
Good store and they have most of what I needed. I been shopping here for about 6-7 years now. They're open till 10 usually. Staff is more professional than Autozones' across the street.

I just left this o’Reilly’s and the gentleman who took care of me was so sweet, and helpful. He helped me find break cleaner right away, and had a nice lil convo with me about our cars breaking down making great customer connections! So happy I came here today!
Amazing Staff!! Very Clean Store!! Store Manager Natalie goes above and beyond to make sure you get everything you need. Grace, Delwayne and Jordan are always making sure I receive the correct parts also! They all deserve raises and promotions!
MARCO WAS FANTASTIC!!! Omg, I know nothing about cars and he was so knowledgeable about my vehicle in and out. He was very professional, courteous and helpful! He put coolant within my car for me as I didn’t know where the coolant reservoir was. He helped me diagnosed my AC problem. He answer every question that I had about my vehicle. Please give this man a raise or promote him. I will now bypass all of the auto parts store to come here. The experience was beyond my expectations of the the usual pep boys or AutoZone! Awesome store Mike is the manager there and is amazing. Oriellys didnt carry the parts for a dump I had. But he had them in his store for a reasonable price in under an hour cant ask for a better parts guy
Always a pleasant experience dealing with Mike and his crew Mike is very professional is tops and I would have to say probably among the best if not the best at what he does very easy-going laid-back and an excellent listener he knows how to prioritize and he understands what the customers want and need especially with special circumstances and extenuating circumstances Mike will go that extra mile.
O'Reilly's has no idea how much of an asset he is to the corporation.
Always get great service at O'Reilly's. They are a friendly group and if they don't have a part that we need usually can get it overnight or even that same day.
Could be a better store! When this store opened up Rodrigo & Ed were what made this store the best autoparts store around. !
It seemed to declined now even more since Mike left recently and now it is ran by hooligans. The only thing going for this store the cleanliness!
