About a year ago, after getting tires installed at ACE Auto, my TPMS light came on. I asked the owner, Danny Lee, who said it would go away—but it didn’t. When I returned, he responded irritably and didn’t fix it. Later, I found out his older brother had broken the tire sensor but never informed me.
Because the TPMS wasn't working, I ended up with a flat tire and had to replace it. I originally chose my car for its TPMS, so this was frustrating. ACE Auto charged me a lot and was not honest. I shared my experience with friends—none of them, including church members, go there anymore.
I’ve since switched to a different auto shop that is certified, professional, kind, and more affordable. Their service is excellent and fast—yes, ACE was fast too, but that’s not enough. I won’t go back. I deserve better.
I'm not sure if they really even want to sell cars. I went back and forth to this place, made an offer and agreement on a vehicle. When it came time to actually purchase it was excuse after excuse on why the car wasn't ready yet. They strung me along for days telling me tomorrow then tomorrow. If there was something wrong with the car fine but tell me instead of keep postponing. Would not recommend go somewhere else.
Just purchased a vehicle from this establishment. Rick was our salesperson that helped us. He was patient, courteous, and extremely helpful. Definitely recommend!
My son and I visited ACE Auto yesterday to sell my son's 2015 Honda civic. The owner took care of us. We are very pleased about the transition including the price. He was very friendly, honesty and professional. I will be coming back to this place if I need any service for my car.
I always recommend anyone that has car trouble to ace auto because Danny and his partners the most honest mechanic I have dealt with. They always do a good job and give good prices for fixing your car.

Buying from car a used car dealership can be either your worst or your best experience... Luckily for me, I had, hands down, one of the best and smoothest experiences I've received from a car dealership in a while. From beginning to end... I was greeted by and chatted with everybody that was working that day! Sometimes it's just nice to be dealing with people that genuinely care about your presence there. It might have been just another car transaction for them, but I appreciated their effort, friendliness, and overall experience I received from them. Shout out to the whole crew at Ace Auto!
I took my car here for bodywork and it got done in a professionally time manner. I would definitely recommend to family and friends! The car looks perfect and looks like it was never hit before.
I strongly advise against purchasing a vehicle from this establishment. Last year, I bought an Audi 2008 from this place. Initially, the test drive seemed fine, and I signed an ‘as is’ form. However, a few days later, I noticed the ‘check light’ and tire light were on. Shortly after, the car began making a strange sound.
I contacted the owner, who directed me to a nearby garage. They returned the car to me with no lights on and the sound slightly improved. However, a a weeks later, the issues resurfaced - the sound, lights, and even engine trouble. The frustration was overwhelming.
I decided to take the car to Wheeling Auto Shop, and when they detailed the problems and the estimated repair cost of nearly $4000, I was in disbelief. What shocked me even more were the pictures they shared, revealing that the car’s motor was poorly mounted on a makeshift frame. I couldn’t fathom how I had driven the car, especially with my daughter.
Since then, it has been a constant stream of problems with this car. It has been an utterly regrettable experience.
Beware!! of this place do not recommend, Purchased a car a few years ago and took it for a test drive and everything appeared to be great. Decided to buy the car and upon purchase unfortunately, signed the by as is form. Upon taking the car home the following day the check engine light came on figured a sensor or something basic was the problem tried to address it myself. With no luck, I took it in to a shop and was informed that the check engine light was erased by a scanner tool to find out the car needed a whole new engine, rebuild, or exchanged. I know for a fact this place is selling vehicles that do not meet selling requirements erasing any check engines lights to appear later, just bad business and when I approached Ace motors there was nothing to be done since I signed the buy as is. Now my car sits in the garage with limited use since I took out a loan and car has major problems what a scam of a place. The reviews speak for themselves.
I flew in from another state to hopefully buy one of their cargo vehicles. The sales person who helped me (John) wasn’t very helpful in communicating. He reassured me everything is working in great condition and didn’t disclose any important details. When I got there, I found out that the mirrors were not working, no mats, and the most important part was no tie downs which I would need when hauling equipment.
The person who talked to me over the phone was apparently not even an employee and someone who was just helping and nowhere to be found the day I got to their office.
I wasted over $700 in flight ticket and a whole day. Very bad customer service and communication.
Don’t buy from these guys. Not trustworthy and shysters. Flew up here one way to pick up a vehicle that I asked 15 different times if everything was OK. I get up here and there’s rust on the quarter panel and the vehicle stability light is on meaning there is something wrong with the ABS system or worse. None of that disclosed before I flew up there to pick up the car.
I tried to purchase the infiniti 2008 EX35. Had debit card and explained that I could pay for the total in 2 payments since there's a cap on how much I could pay per day. I told him I'm
a travel RN so this was a prepaid debit from work. Jimmy gave me the run around throughout the day just to finally tell me that owners was "suspicious" of me despite me offering
whatever documentation they wanted. Jimmy stated, "the owners are rich they dont really care if they sale cars or not". If this is true sir they shouldn't
be in business. Waste of time.
My husband and I were in contact with the owner for a few days to look at a vehicle that was in "mint condition". He made us set up an appointment to test drive the vehicle, and whenever we arrived for our appointment he had someone in his office buying the car that we were scheduled to look at. We drove over 4-1/2 hours to look at this vehicle and we were supposed to have the first available appointment time set up for that day.
The owner gave us the keys to look at the vehicle just in case the guy in his office wasn't able to get financing. Whenever we went out to look at the car that was in "mint condition" there was a rip in the driver's seat, cigarette burns in the head liner, the sleeve around the 4 wheel drive and e-brake levers were falling apart, there were dents on the body, and the frame was completely rusted out and spray painted black to hide the rust.
When the owner asked us what we thought about the vehicle I brought up all of these concerns, and he said "it doesn't matter, the other guy is buying it anyway".
I would not recommend this place to anyone. Owner was very rude, unprofessional, and doesn't care about his customers.
Called the dealer because I thought I found the car I was ready to purchase after a check. Was told that the salvage has no pictures of the before repairs from the accident and that they do not follow technicalities when it comes to reporting work done and pictures. Offered to have it inspected at a nearby dealership and was told that the car could not get taken to a dealership to be inspected. Difficult to work with and would not consider purchasing a car from them again. Avoid purchasing rebuilt titles from them!
Daniel and his team are the most customer service oriented repair shop in Des Plaines area. I have had several collision repairs completed with great expertise and pricing.
Have all my auto repairs done at Ace for the last 20 years. Purchased one car from Ace and had them sell three cars for me. They have done body work through insurance company without any problems. Always been honest and fair, has always gone the extra mile. Thank you Dan and Robert Lee.

I went to this repair shop when I had the accident in February. It's been a while since I received the service at the Ace Auto, but I can't express enough how thankful I am for their service. Danny helped me out while I was there. He helped me go through my insurance policy and assisted me to get the most out of my coverage in repairing my vehicle. After researching the best auto body shops on a suggested list of providers, I chose Ace due to their high ratings. I'm so pleased I made best choice! Danny and his team were comprehensive in communicating what they were going to do and they gave me an accurate timeline. Their customer service was top notch as well! Great service at a great price. I get my oil changed there regularly, I have had some tires changed, and my back windshield replaced. All done at much better rates than anywhere else I have been quoted at. I highly recommend their service.
Best repair shop got 2 jobs done from them back to back. When to get my wheel alignment somewhere else they screwed my car up they fixed it up for free even though it wasnt their mistake . Highly reccomend this place they know what they are doing
