Yes I'm writing this review to let everybody know do not do business with this company they are very rude and disrespectful I went online to look at a Chevy equinox I called them to verify they had the vehicle they said they did and then as soon as I get ready to go test drive it they informed me that they don't have the vehicle and when I called and told them that this is falsifying information that their scam artist I have somebody texting my phone and being disrespectful with me all because I told him I was upset that they lied to me cuz he said the car hasn't been there for months and when I called they verified it was there so I want everybody know this is a scam artist half the cars they have online have already been sold so do not trust this place it will be a waste of your gas once again I'm letting everybody know I do not recommend this business so please if you think about doing business with them turn around and run

Has called me seven times since already towing my car two weeks ago to pick it up. Not one person who has called has had the wherewithal to to relay that forward.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. My insurance had them to pick up my car from my house. I specifically told the driver not to start up my car because it doesn't have any oil in it. He then proceeded to start it up. So now I have to get another engine since he didn’t want to listen to me.

This company as a whole is a joke and a clear example of what happens when you hire unqualified people to do a job. I've been trying to schedule with these people to pick up my motorcycle for days. Talked to some incompetent lady with a bad attitude and specifically told her to schedule the pick up for the following day then give me a call before they come get it. She reluctantly agreed and said ok. Next day, no call and my bike has been sitting outside all day getting rained on. At this point I could've rolled it by hand and got it there faster. No wonder they have less than 3 stars at all locations. Insurance probably uses them because of dirt cheap prices. Safe to say that you get what you pay for!

If I could give this location negative stars I would. My car was towed here after a major accident. While waiting for my adjuster to look at the car and get back to me on a decision I went to go retrieve my items from inside the car. I realized that not only were there things missing from the inside of the car (like Disney decorations, phone chargers, and personal artifacts) but also when I was given my license plates I was not given the holders that were on the car. When I approached coparts they had me fill out what was missing as well as I sent a detailed list to their email. I have been given the run around from a manager who will not take my calls, I cannot leave a voice message because the mailbox is full, and every time I call the ladies that answer say he is out in the yard but he will not call me back. It has been a week now and nothing has been resolved! The sub lot where my car was is covered in potholes and not labeled very well so I had no idea where I was going. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! If you have a choice take it somewhere else and make sure all items are out of your car beforehand! The only positive thing was the lady at the front desk was very nice and I did not have any problems getting what I needed from her.

this is a nightmare! I arrived on an agreement, I've been waiting for 3 hours, no one is taking the car out. Carriers! Never come to this Copart if you don't want to stand here all day.

Sublot. Slooooooow… zzz…I arrived at 8am sharp for my 8am appt and waited in a long line, also had a 9:30. Now it’s 12pm and there is still another truck in front of me in the line. I hope the main lot will give me the car I scheduled for 11:30. Let’s see. But no matter what 1star, way too slow here at the sublot. Look at this pic. There is room for 2 more trucks but we have to wait for the forklift drivers to tell us to move up… for sure only adding to the slowness of the line.

Customer service was not helpful at all not professional not friendly we purchased a car only this location they not gave the title to the driver I tried to ask her if she can gave me trucking number or let me know when they will send it she not explain to me she said the trucking number needs a to created after that we will ship it…. They supposed to be saying title pending.. because will take forever… no more paying A car from this location I see all reviews talking about the customer service horrible I believe the manager is not care about this….

Worst transport pick up on my life. Never again will I go pick up cars there. Once you go in there’s no way out. Single file line that wraps around the entire compound to get loaded. Absolutely horrible!

If I could post negative amounts of stars, I would. I am not a dealer, just a person that with the circumstances of my car, was forced to deal with Copart because of an auto accident involving a deer and a 16-year-old. When I was called by my insurance company to inform me that my car was totaled, a devastating experience, I realized I had forgotten to grab a few things out of my vehicle. Not much, an Ipass, plates, and miscellaneous things in the glove box. As my adjuster stated the hours and gave me no indication of restrictions, we started our drive over to Copart. I called directly to state I was en route. The first woman, extremely rude off the bat, asks me which lot. I didn't know what that meant, nor would I have that information told me if I don't have the lot or the VIN, I cannot be helped. She also stated the lot closed at 3:30 pm. When I asked why that isn't stated anywhere, she told me to stop yelling. That was odd considering there was no yelling from my end. I assume that is the way to remove dealing with people. I hung up, started to head back home, and called back. The second woman asked for my car's make and model and was able to tell me the lot number. Strange how moments earlier this information could not be given. Still, they would not be able to allow me onto the lot at 4 pm. This needs to be communicated to the insurance companies or have a way to convey that information to alleviate additional trips. The following day, armed with the lot information I went into the office, not one person looked up from their desk to greet me or direct me on what to do until a girl walked over to ask for identification. Once finally addressed, I had to then continue to another lot. Some potholes can land your current vehicle in the same junkyard. Once here, checked in again so my car could be brought to me to remove any remaining items. I had toyed with the idea of buying my car back, once you see how the loaders move the cars around, you'll quickly abort that idea. My car was placed in the middle of a puddle and I was going to have to launch through the trunk to get into it. The guy stated that is why he wears boots to work...I do not work here nor would I expect to have to swim on this winter morning My husband went back to drop off my title for fear I would have ended up in a situation I didn't need to be in. 40 minutes after waiting another rude woman asked about paperwork and proceeded to take people ahead of him. Only for some other patron to try and fight him for line placement. I guess in the line of work you hire the DMV cast-offs to torture you for all the time you spend in this run-down garbage heap. It doesn't take much to have manners but there isn't a soul in this place with any. May the odds be ever in your favor!

This women at this location are so lazy, I stop by to pay for a car yesterday and this older woman just look at me and didn't help at all, then this young white lady help me no questions ask, all about the money. Hope this older woman gets fire she is not even working, copart could use some people who really wants to make copart some money. Then today I stop to pay for another car, same older woman, mini skirt her stomach almost touched her knees, she just look and walk away. Then this young lady ask if I had scan to make an appointment to visit the location I'm like what my bill DID NOT HAVE THOSE DETAILS, I say do u want the money or not, she said well I take it today, but the older woman didn't help you because u didn't made an appointment that's right to make copart money what are they on covid past guidelines. Someone from corporate need to fire this lazy old woman she is not making copart no money.

Only here because of the product. Even then I have had couple come without catalytic converts and a hassle and a half. Sometimes better to walk away than waste energy there. Terrible wait times and don’t even let you wait inside. There many many many problems here. I hope they can turn it around.

Copart south sub lot has to be the worst place I've ever been to consistently being the slowest and laziest people with a job, the manager needs to either be demoted or replaced because the representation presented by him will make a person never buy from their again. A person who loves to scream when he gets a chance. It's not his fault for being who he is but for real who hired this guy? If they had 2 loaders working instead of 1, the line for the sub lot wouldn't go all the way outside with over 20 trucks, please fix this issue because nobody wants to wait 3 hours for something that could of been done in 10 min.

Very courteous and understanding. While the workers had no trouble moving their truck to enable the collection of photographs, in hind site, my only wish is that they would have offered to hold up my hood to capture evidence that the impact which took away My Greatest Love was hard enough to shift the engine.

I called to see if I could complete my paperwork in office and the lady was RUDE and RUDE!! Went there anyway because its the closest one and what a surprise... Same lady, same attitude. I wasnt given all the paperwork to sign the first time, even tho I asked to be clear, so I had to make another 42 minute trip. Guess what? More attitude...No apology or anything

Copart headquarters should really step in at this location. They could not be any slower. You will spend at the very least 3 hours at this location. Even if you are picking up one car. The lot is too small and they easily get backed up. There is 1 person doing paperwork at a time so you wait 1 hour til office then up to 2 hours for 1 car. Unacceptable!

It’s 10:35 About 2 transport vehicles on lot ( one car trailers) Pretty much no line , about 3 ppl I have to pickup a title only!! , and my estimated time was 70 minutes, after waiting for another 10 minutes, my time went up to 80 minutes What a weird system you guys have So you telling me that the 2 minutes procedure have to take 80 minutes, you must be out of your mind. But I guess if your employees work hourly than there is no question why it’s taking so long for some “specials” to do such an ez task. I wish I could get payed for doing nothing.

Great staff ! Just have one request. Please, Pretty Please;. Spend a couple hundred bucks and get a couple port-a-pottys in the parking lot for the transporters. Due to the pandemic we might be stuck in the lot for hours before we can get loaded. Do the right thing and allow these guys and gals a chance to relieve themselves. The buyer fee's / gate fee's on 1 vehicle would cover the cost. Thanks

Being as this place has a wait to retrieve items from a totaled car, they would not allow me to use the restroom after and hour drive to them. Walked in and walked towards the door marked restroom and was told they didn't have a public restroom, or restroom for customers and the rudeness of the woman behind the desk was beyond it. Bad business, they also broke into the vehicle and rummaged thru taking things

Let me start by saying Copart has usually been a good experience. But this last time at the Chicago South location was a VERY different story. I purchased a vehicle in Texas on 2/12, and the day before they charge storage and late fees, I arrived at the office to submit payment. BUT to my surprise the Manager "Nelly" CLOSED the location early without notifying corporate! So of course I arrive first thing the next day to pay and address the fees since it was not my fault the manager chose to close early. 2/17 After payment of the vehicle, "Cashiers Check". I noticed that there was an extra 70$ tacked on to my invoice. I questioned the manager NELLY about these charges and received the most RUDE and NASTY attitude I've ever seen from staff anywhere!! I have no idea how Nelly ever became a manager but she lacks the slightest clue on how to be professional and act accordingly. Even her subordinates looked shocked at the response a customer received from someone who is supposedly management. After contacting corporate, I was informed that the Yard keeping my vehicle is closed due to weather and that when they open I would be credited.

Every time come to this place wasting time. 1.30hrs at least spending every time here .waiting and waiting and waitng. To put my self in the queue got to wait 1hr and then to load 15mins witch is not bad for loading. But office part got to be more concerned for their job qnd be faster. we are the ones who is making money for copart. NO RESPECT AT ALL...

Went there to check out a car. Unfortunately it was located in another lot but they were able to quickly bring it out to me. The person working the forklift was extremely nice and even help me jump-start the car even though there was no battery in the car. Love working with these folks.
