I’ve used them for the two years I lived in Arlington Heights, I waited until now to write a review. They’re honest people, Kevin is super friendly and I’ve had some work done on my car by them & they were great. Reasonable and affordable pricing & I love getting a vehicle report. I trust them & am sad I can’t keep coming since I moved states! I hope my next mechanic is as good as them.
I was having major electrical issues on my 95 Mustang GT. My friend recommended K Automotive. Kevin the manager there was great. He introduced me to his electrical expert Johnathon who is an awesome expert that worked in the motor pool during his time in the Army. I explained what was going on. The key fobs stopped working, I wasn’t able to reprogram them. Then I noticed that the door locks, radio, clock and speedometer were not functioning. Kevin called me back in a few hours and told me they found the issue. It was the remote alarm module that burnt up. Ford doesn’t make produce it anymore. Since they couldn’t install an uncertified item Johnathon showed me where it was located and exactly how to install it. I ordered one I found on eBay, installed and back in the road everything working as it should. I thought they were going to charge me for 3 hours labor which would have been understandable. Instead they only charged me for their diagnostic service of $89.99! Kevin was honest, his crew experts. I found a place that I can count on to take all my vehicles to. And they drop off and pick up.
I received superb service at this auto shop! These guys are professional, patient and knowledgeable. I love that diagnostics results are sent and explained to customers to get a better understanding of what might be wrong with your vehicle. All around 10/10 service!
I recently had the occasion to utilize the service department at K Auto Repair, and I wanted to share my experience. Overall, I found the service to be very positive.
I brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. Kevin was friendly and efficient, and the work was completed in a timely manner.
One of the things I appreciated most was the staff's professionalism. They explained the service in detail and answered all of my questions.
The price for the service was reasonable, and I felt that I received good value for my money.
Overall, I would recommend this service department to others. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and the service is efficient and affordable.
These guys run a great shop. They were able to get my car in and taken care of despite my last-minute request. They were also available for a super helpful and candid conversation about my car.
While I never WANT to have to get my car fixed, I will definitely bring it back to these guys if and when I do!
Kevin and the rest of the crew at K auto are great. With a recent problem they were able to get me in quickly and provided a temporary fix that I needed while waiting for parts. As soon as the parts came in they had me in and out right away. I'm glad to know I can always count on them.
I was having bad scraping on my car. Honestly scared me to death as I've never experienced that before! I'm a single mom on a tight budget and Kevin was beyond kind and worked with my budget to make sure I was safe.

I recently had a problem with a sudden, terrible screeching noise coming from a rear wheel. K Auto diagnosed and repaired the unusual problem quickly, (not a standard brake problem) and provided photographs of the affected area from multiple angles so that I could understand what had gone wrong. Their service is always excellent and their explanations thorough. They have serviced my Subaru for 14 years and kept it in excellent running condition. I could not be happier.
Service & workmanship were great. I needed a driver's side power seat, which they tracked down & installed within a few days. I'll be bringing my other vehicle for service in the near future.
They did a great job replacing my brakes and installing new tires. Kevin and staff were very knowledgeable and f. Gave me a ride home and picked me up while my car was being serviced

Awesome customer service. I had K Auto switch out my winter tires for summer tires, and when I mentioned that I lived within walking distance, they offered to pick my tires up from my house (my car is too small to fit all of the tires in it). Then, when a nasty line of thunderstorms came through, they tucked my car into one of the service bays to make sure it didn't get hailed on. Very wonderful people and very reasonable prices.
