Wish I could give 0 stars. Was scammed by the guy towing the car to bring it to their shop on Wednesday. Was called by someone at All About Automotive Thursday morning and was told he’d call me by the end of the day with a quote. I had to call him Friday morning and he said the car isn’t even at the shop yet because they are severally backed up. Makes no sense and beyond mad at this whole scam/scheme they are pulling on people.
I stopped by just to give my humble opinion and share my experience at this shop, as I've had bad experiences at others. I'd like to thank the mechanic who gave me an idea to keep my car in great condition and save me a few cents. I highly recommend taking your car there and rest assured knowing you're leaving it in very good hands. Plus, the man even speaks Spanish.
Excellent service knowledgeable and friendly! Installed a new engine in Lincoln MKZ runs like new! They work on all our cars various makes and models. Thanks AAA!!!

Came to this shop hopping to help me solve my car problem.
Unfortunately my car is not fixed and i put our lives in danger. The price i paid got wasted because they did not fixed the issue. These shop was recommended by AAA, so i thought i can trust them. When i picked up my car, i asked the guy if it's safe to drive he assured me that the issue was fixed. Unfortunately after 10 hours from getting back my car, the issue wasn't fixed. In the middle of our journey home the car light engine went on again. And the car was acting up in the middle of Interstate. Imagine driving in the middle of past driving vehicles and the car was acting up. It really scared me to the core. I get so mad because i spent a 1,000 dollars for the repairs. It was a sad experienced, Thank God i have trusted mechanic in my home town and they explained to us was is the real issue.
Hope that this experience will not happen to others.
Not usually one to post reviews especially negative but I agree with these other bad reviews. Get a second estimate and dont take it here just because AAA or the tow truck driver recommended it. The tow truck driver Marcus was awesome and a really nice guy but suggested towing it to the shop he works for so i agreed because he sold me on it being a AAA certified shop. Nick at the shop charges almost double what other mechanics charge, i received 4 other estimates and the most expensive one was still $600 cheaper than him. In my opinion this shop uses being a AAA certified shop to their advantage to charge more knowing AAAs policy that if the mechanic can fix it they will not tow it to a different mechanic. I was luckily able to get AAA to make an exception because of how much he over charges. Plus the few times I talked to the mechanic he acted like a jerk.
AAA sent them to tow a box truck from my driveway today. It was in a poor location, but the driver was unfazed and had great ideas (and strength plus determination) and it was on the truck in no time. He had a great attitude and was very pleasant, even during a rainy day with a challenging task. Well done!!

My car broke down on the side of the road and All About Automotive was there with me every step of the way. Their customer service and quick turnaround is second to none. Plus they delivered my car to my house. Nick and team was a pleasure to work with. I will be using them again.
Recommendation: Tow to someone you know, not to the place suggested.
So I'm going to break this down into Positive and negatives as I feel it would be unjust to leave a bad review without mentioning some positives:
Positives: Free oil change and tow guy (Marcus) super nice. Nick in terms of customer service was fantastic. They were both nice and pleasant.
Negative (Heavily weighted): This place didn't fix my car. I asked if it was fixed and they are like "That fixed the issued". Sure enough, one day later, the oil pressure light came on again (Telling me they did not test it after the work was done). The part they fixed may not have needed to be even fixed and they overcharged me for the part per the dealer I took it to. I would say the price would be justified in the enhanced customer service if my car was fixed. Since my car is not fixed, the overprice is not worth it.
I was impressed how thorough the team was from the time I got my car towed to fixing my car. - Nicholas (owner) and Orlando ( Tow Driver) were great! I had concerns because of my past experience with mechanics and tow drivers. I said it before, they have won my business and saved me money!
Nick and the service department was very helpful and professional. Answering all my questions and concerns about my car's problems. Give me a fair estimate. A tow was good that back-and-forth and the quality of work is proven to be very high. And very happy with the repairs. The cars working way better now. Thank you, nick. In a very stressful situation where I didn't know what to do or where to take my car, I was very fortunate to work with AAA and be linked with All About Automotive. The towing side of the house was wonderful, even dropping my car back off to me when the work was done. The service side and Nick were also wonderful, always keeping me up to date with the work being done. I never felt like there was a moment I was not informed and they'd worked even overnighting a part, and test driving the car to ensure the issue was fixed. Highly recommend, and would come back in a heart beat if ever in need for automotive work.
Marcus is an absolute gem of a person and helped me out SO much when I had to get a tow with my work vehicle. He was calm, kind, and efficient. Thank you to the moon!
I had small problem with my car.The second I walked in to the shop Nick explained everything to me and set me an appointment right away. The repair was done sooner than I expected. Every person working there is professional and super nice.Im a woman and they didn't try to set me up with extra repairs. I highly recommend this place.
I can’t thank Julio enough for the outstanding service he provided while assisting my wife through AAA roadside assistance. When her tire blew out on the highway, Julio promptly arrived and safely towed her car to a service station in Palatine, as AAA regulations didn’t allow for a tire change on the side of the highway.
Not only did Julio ensure my wife’s safety by driving her to the service station, but when he realized the station was closed, he went above and beyond by changing her tire to the spare himself. Throughout the process, Julio was extremely professional, helpful, and communicative, keeping me updated at every step since I couldn’t be there with my wife.

SCAM! QUOTED $1300 FOR A $160 REPAIR & STARTED LEAVING FAKE 1-STAR REVIEWS ON MY BUSINESS PROFILE! Will be getting my lawyers involved.
They're a shop that also tows for AAA & when they came to tow my van, offered to take it to their shop instead of the one near me for a free oil change, so I said why not. Called me back later in the day with a $1,300 quote ($175 diagnostic fee??) to replace a wire connection that was maybe $100-150 for the connector and a 1-2hr job. Called several nearby shops that quoted 1/3 their price so I towed it elsewhere.... AAA of course assigned them for the 2nd tow to the new shop. They gave me an hour ETA but took 2 1/2 hrs to pick it back up from their own shop & drop it off, then never called me with any updates after. The new shop called me the next morning saying all they had to do was rewire it, would take an hour tops, and ended up only being $163!!
They try to take advantage of your vehicle not starting and the fact most people wouldn't bother with towing it elsewhere, so they charge you extra and hope you're frustrated enough to just pay it and get it fixed. I even drove over to the shop before towing it the 2nd time to have the tech, Adam, show me the damages & better explain what the $1,300 was for (in case I was misunderstanding - I work on cars, but electrical is not my strong suit) and he kept getting irritated, repeating the steps he used to diagnose it, and completely avoided explaining how a job that multiple shops confirmed was a 1-2 hr job would take 5hrs??? If you check their reviews on Yelp & AAA, there are many others that say the same rates were given to them as well... what a poor way to operate!!
I have never gotten this great of service before. From the moment I called AAA and all about Automotive called me back it's been great! Everything was explained to me in great detail including benefits I didn't even know about, the driver's and Chris in service were absolutely fabulous and very professional. Chris explained everything that had caused the problem, what was needed to fix it, plus what could wait. They also did an inspection for safety and found out some more things that will need to be done in the near future, and did not push me at all into anything, which is a very refreshing experience! I have been going to the same mechanic for over 20 years, but they are going to give him a run for his money!
Very good experience. My car was towed here through AAA after hours. Nick called me first thing the next morning to confirmed they had my car and would have an estimate soon. He was true to his word. When I decided not to have the car repaired, he was fantastic in arranging for a company to purchase the car and handled all the details. I am so thankful for Nick! He was friendly, honest and even gave me some helpful tips in the purchase of a new car. Highly recommend!
I had my Jeep towed to the jop for the repair, I didn't know what to expect, the they did outstanding work. Not only that they repair it but they kept me informed of the issues. Nick is very knowledgeable guy that worked with me and my insurance.
I highly recommend this shop if you're needed of a vehicle repair.

My starter broke down on me! Called towing side of All about Automotive. Justin came to pick my car up! What a really awesome dude! I then called over to the service side and Nick picked up! Nick helped me with a budget replacement for the starter! When the car was done Justin drove my car personally to my job while i was on my shift down the street because they didnt have any tows in the area. Offered him multiples for a ride back down the street and he respectfully rejected and He said he needed to get some air anyways and didnt mind the walk down the street! All while it was raining! Whos ever in charge give that man a RAISE! I really appreciate both Nick and Justin for a Headache free experience! Thank you guys! Ill be recommending and continuing to be a customer!!
My car broke down waiting in a pharmacy drive through. Luckily, 2 men pushed my car out & notified All About Automotive, which was right next to where I broke down. Lucky again. They had my car for 2 days, Nick super helpful, great communication. My car is an '07 Lexus & have always taken it to Lexus for whatever it needs. I've had some questionable car repairs prior, so I just felt safe w/Lexus & complacent. Plus they gave out loaners.
But I am SO impressed with service @ All About auto. & they are so close to my home, I'll be back. They also gave me a ride home & delivered my car back to me. Everyone there is very nice & accommodating. Don't hesitate to bring your car to this establishment.
All About Automotive came to my rescue when my care stalled and left me stranded. The tow truck showed up sooner than expected and the driver was extremely helpful and nice. Not only did All About Automotive fix my car, but they also delivered it to me when it was done!! I compared their price to a couple of other places and found it to be quite fair.
I needed a tow from my house to a mechanic. The manager suggested that I use his services because I could get AAA discount and a free oil change. By the late afternoon, I called the office and they didn't know my car was even there!!!! The man I spoke to was incredibly rude and said that he doesn't have anything to do with the tow side of the business. He said that he is short staffed and doesn't have time to look at every car in one day. So I suggested that he call his towing side of the business and explain to him not to suggest anymore people to leave their cars at your garage. Such rudeness and disrespectful service! Never go there for mechanical problems but for towing, they're fine.
Had to have my car towed there for service. Jordan the tow truck driver was a really cool person and took care when loading my car on the flatbed. Customer service on the phone was A+. They were super busy due to this cold spell we're having but still were kind and professional. Prices were good too. I price matched what they wanted to charge and they were good to go. Got a free oil change too. Nobody likes going to the mechanic but these guys made the experience as good as it can be. They even offered to deliver my car back to me. Definitely will use them again!
I recently needed a new alternator after my car died on the highway. I called AAA to tow my car to my dealership, but they informed me I got a discount if I go to AAA affiliated garage. I spoke with Justin the dispatch manager about All About Automotive and he broke everything down for me. I was handed over to Nick for my car work. Nick was very informative, kind, and fair. He kept me up to date on everything that was going on and even helped find a less expensive part to help me with the bottom line. For a very stressful day, both Nick and Justin went above and beyond with their communication and customer service. I will be a repeat customer from here on out. It's hard to find honest guys that are real and upfront in the car repair industry. Still was painful paying for everything but I am confident I made the right choice going with this shop.

This company was contracted through AAA Roadside assistance to tow my Sprinter Van, driver hooked it up and loaded it on the tow truck. My vans rear tires were barely sitting on the edge of the tow bed, and front of the bumper was hitting the lights on the front of the tow bed. Driver was getting ready to leave when i noticed above mentioned. Stopped the driver and pointed out, he was like "oh wow yeah i cant drive it like this" like he didnt see it when he loaded it and secured it. While attempting to backup the vehicle from the tow bed, he forgot to unhook the front chains and the damage from the pictures attached happened. I pointed out the damages and tooked the pictures, he saw it and took the pictures as well. When he finally unloaded the vehicle i asked him about the damages and he just said "yeah just call AAA and file a claim" which i did. Now they are claiming how the damages were already there and how they took pictures of the van before loading it, which they didnt, i was there the entire time from before he came, up until he left. They dont want to pay for the damages that their driver did. Perfectly white exposed metal was from before, as they say. Not like the metal will corrode after being exposed to the outside elements.
I hope the owner or whoever handled my claim can sleep at night, knowing that they damaged $60K+ vehicle.

I was taking my son car camping around the country and we broke down in Arlington Heights. After speaking with Scott (amazing person with great integrity), Adam (a mechanic's mechanic) and Chris, the owner, I think we are going to have a great experience. They searched the country for an ECM and they even called a rental car company for us. Thank you All About Automotive.
Great customer service! Mechanics are hands on with the staff as well as their environment. Scott from the front desk is so polite and trustworthy. I’d call ahead to make any appointments just so yo save time and some gas money. Great staff and awesome environment
