1200 am Sunday night blew trailer tire and rim in construction zone. Drove into shop, Kegan had tire mounted on rim ready to go at 1230 and I’m out by 1. Great service. Easy access

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! These guys are scums and scammers. They overcharged my driver for doing absolutely 0 work it’s embarrassing. I recommend you find a different shop and work with somebody else you will lose money.

Decent place. They usually get you in pretty quick. Might have to listen to them complain a LOT about pretty much just working in general like they hate their life and job but still ok. Might also want to double check their work as they can leave it a little unfinished…..

The guy Shawn clearly hates his job and his life. Blatantly rude to customer for no reason. Even one of the other employees told me he is always like that and nobody likes working with him. I see from reviews he's been there for years getting bad reviews. Why would you work a job you hate so bad for years and years? I'm not even mad, feel sorry that guy and his life, it must be horrible based on his behavior.

WARNING DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! Had them come out for a road call for a crank no start on a cummins isx. They send a guy out that didn’t even look like he wanted to be there per my driver and in the end told me that the ECM on the engine was bad. I tell the guy that’s impossible as I’m seeing everything off the engine side on my ELD so I tell him to check all fuses and go from there. He has my driver call me back telling me everything is good so he’s gotta check with his boss but he thinks the ECM is bad. Me being Volvo/cummins certified as well as having my own repair shop I tell them ok leave the truck alone I’ll have it towed back to my own shop. Spend $2,600 on a tow back to Wisconsin along with paying them almost $300 for nothing to find out the idiot of a “tech” removed both fuel filters and didn’t notice that one of the o rings was pinched and it was sucking air. Replaced both filters let the pump prime and engine fired right up! Hooked up insite with no faults present and everything working. Yeah DO NOT USE THESE CLOWNS cost me almost $3k for some bad fuel filters, idiots and clowns and if they have something to say well bring it cause I’m actually a certified tech unlike these idiots and I figured out the issue with in 5 min of the truck being pulled into our shop.

Update 8/31/23. We would like to thank you again for your great work on fixing our boom trucks breaks this past week! Quick work, done right and a very fair price. We will continue to use Road Ready Truck & Tire for our future mechanical needs. You guys are the best! We are absolutely thrilled with the work Jim and his team at Road Ready Truck & Tire did on our International 4700 Boom Truck! Our clutch was going out and when calling around trying to find a shop that could work on it, we actually had other mechanics pass on the job or quote us a ridiculous amount. Jim and his team got our truck in and fixed within a week and their price was more than fair. We cannot recommend Road Ready Truck & Tire enough! Thank you!

RUDE! I'm not from the area but I called a local tow truck company who recommended I try Road Ready for roadside assistance. When they picked up the phone, someone answered "What do you want". If only you could hear the bad attitude through text...They were the closest to our broken down truck, but I gladly I paid someone else an hour away, who was much nicer to do the job instead. My suggestion for them is to get out of the tow/roadside business if they are that miserable. My suggestion to you is not to use them, but if you do, hopefully you can catch them on a better day.

Stay away from this place, very unprofessional using foul language. went from a few hour job into 2 days, blaming the parts supplier. We confirmed they excepted CC before bring in our truck but once the job was done they refused. Jim the owner would not answer his phone or return any of our calls. If you end up in hell you see those people there.

Truck was not building any pressure, we thought there was something frozen one of the lines.. they sent their road side guy Dan…he looked at it and said nothing is frozen but thinks there is a air leak near the compressor… so they towed us to the freight-liner dealer… after they looked at it and had the truck inside the shop for 30-45min truck started building pressure fine and they could not fond anything wrong with it… obviously these guys just did not want to do the work and wanted to tow it to rip us off the easy way.. tried calling to get compensated some what but they said they cannot do that… stay away from these guys they will rip you off for being lazy!

Had an air leak problem. They found and repaired it quickly. Would recomend this shop to anyone for work. People are friendly and professional. Nice to know that there are still good and knowledgeable people. Thanks

Prices are pretty fair they got me rolling. I was told they would be there in about 2 hours that night around midnight. I was 2 miles away. They did not send someone until about 9 am that morning. The tech was fast once he arrived got the part and installed and I was able to get going. The tech was great. Overall it sucked to wait all night but the mechanic in the morning was great at what he does.

As an O/O doing what I do for 27 years now my experience at Road Ready Truck and Tire Service is what every business that's looking out for the small guy should be. Stellar job, good, down to earth people. Thanks so much to Brian and the guys I met. I appreciate what you do!!!

Would not even attempt to repair my front tire and move it to the rear. Only wanted to replace the tire on the front that only had 1000 miles on it. Called another facility and they gladly repaired it and moved it to the rear, no questions asked.

As a driver who has spent many a weekends, doing maintenance upon my truck; I was very pleased with the services rendered at this location. I personally do the work on my truck. In 2 years I have replaced the radiator, replaced the exhaust pipe from the smoke stack to the turbo, replaced a fuel line running from the the back of the engine block to the fuel housing, as well as the fuel housing itself. I have replaced brake chambers, the coolant reservoir and hose running from it, to the top of the engine. Air bag levelers and the list goes on and on and on. I pulled my truck into this shop hemorrhaging oil. I had no idea where it was leaking from. They assessed the problem and once they identified it, they went the cost efficient way to resolve it. By the grace of the Creator, I broke down here! I appreciate all those that had a hand in getting my truck up and running.

I changed one tire on the trailer using my stepney for $225 (vs $50-70 on TA or Love's). Avoid this place. Cad and robber! Dear owner of "Road Ready Truck" please set the affordable prices and be more loyalty and polite to your clients. Your clients feed you and your family. I wish success and prosperity to your family business

Horrible place of business. Contacted shop about a tire blowing out @ 4:45p. Proceeded to inform the mechanic that I was on my way. Get there 25 mins later to the shop closed down. Contacted the number again and was informed that the guy had left, knowing I was headed that way as quick as possible and told that he wouldn’t be back in at least 2 hours. Not to mention they were going to charge $200 minimum to put a spare on.

Worse experience ever! Shane walked around complaining on how much he hated his boss. From what i gathered his boss just wanted him to work. I wouldn't let shane work on my bicycle besides being unprofessional he is lazy and cuts corners. As long as he is there ill have my truck towed to another city. Do not take your vehicle there!

My truck lost all power on I57 just south of Champaign.I called Road Ready and they arrived in about 30 minutes. They diagnosed it to be a bad alternator. The mechanic ran to get a new alternator came back installed the new alternator charged my batteries and i was on the road again.I was very happy with there service and the price was very reasonable. I would definitely use them again.

Ok here goes my report on this repair shop. I was having trouble with my truck elc. System Sunday evening. I park at the Road Ranger truckstop as I knew there was a repair shop there. I called their number and their after hours service answers in a timely fashion They hook me up with their man on call. I explain what is happening and need a laptop hooked up to find the Electronic issues. We don't have a laptop I am informed.. great So later I see one of their trucks go inside their shop. Knock on door, no reply. Then I see a mini van pull up to a door. I walk over and the lady informs me I need to call their after hours number. I said I just wanted to find out if you have a laptop or not. She asks the man driving the mini van.. nope no laptop. I said ok I know on after hours and rates.. I just need to get my truck running, it's cold out and I worry about my wife She offers to take us to hotel, no thanks. I will get something figured out.. They pull up before leaving asking again if we need ride to hotel I will give them credit for that We were talking about towing my trk. I make the comment about I don't want a tow bill higher than the repair bill. His reply, well these trucks aren't cheap My relpy, yes I know that, but everyone needs to be fair. Oh and he goes, see us at 8am and we will get you fixed up. Right, you don't want to work on my trk with after hour rates, yet you want me to see you in the morning. Then later, I see one of their service trucks come and open shop door, so I go over and briefly talk with him... Foundout they have a laptop, but they don't know how to use it yet.. A little late to the party guys.. I was then informed about Freightliner has a mobile guy who services the area.. Thank you sir, you have been more than helpful than the lady and man in the mini van. Who I found out were the owners. Great way to run off a customer So morning rolls around, I am out checking things to see if I can spot the issue. Nope They see me outside. Never ask if I need their services or not, even though they know first hand I have issues. After a bunch of calls, I found a shop that could work me if I can get the truck there. They know where I am at. Who do you recommend for towing.. Reynolds they say.. thanks Guess who towed me out from there. Oh and yes I got permission by truckstop manager to leave my trailer there, so you guys couldn't pin lock it for non authorized dropping of trailer I was told you were asking about that Oh heads up all. Road Ranger has been told to refer any drivers with issues to this shop as they are on site somewhat. You can read between the lines on that issue To me, I felt like I was treated somewhat rudely..at the repair shop Again I will give them credit for offering to take us to hotel.. that I thanked them for But why not offer to start working on my truck that night, even with the higher rate.. Oh and yes it took the laptop to find the wiring and Ecm issues... Best of luck there in maybe learning how to use modern technology in the days when you need it, plus old fashioned work

I had a terrible experience around a year ago involving these guys and Don's Towing. Had a blow out on 57 less than a mile from their shop. Called them up and they guy was very rude and acted like I was an idiot as I was trying to describe the vehicle which happened to be a retired ambulance. Also quoted me around $200 and two hours before they could come and put on our spare. So I called around some more and Don's Towing said they could do it and had someone out there in 30 minutes. Unfortunately the guy that showed up had none of the necessary equipment to put on our spare, but offered to tow us over to Road Ready for cheap because that would save us some money over having them come out to us. Well he accidentally takes a wrong turn, tries to make a U-turn while towing the ambulance and ends up ripping up another tire. So no charge from Don's and eventually they offer to pay to replace one tire. So we head down to Road Ready and explain the situation, and they say it will be two hours before they can get to it. We're hanging around the shop waiting, and 20 or 30 minutes later they say they got another call and now they won't be able to do ours for SIX HOURS. Obviously I'm upset that we're getting jerked around and skipped over, and then one of they're mechanics says he doesn't even want to touch our truck because Don's towed it there and apparently Don's had screwed them over on some job previously. And then after that they say they got another call and won't be able to get to us today at all. Would have been fine if they had told us they didn't want our business from the get-go, but at this point we had wasted hours between getting towed, the tire fiasco and waiting. So I ended up calling Tatman's which charged a much more reasonable rate than I was expecting and showed up quickly to get us over to Tire Barn who had two new tires on the truck in only a few minutes. To summarize, we offered Road Ready easy money and instead they wasted our time and rejected our business because of a vendetta with another towing company, and ended up costing me an entire day of work.
