Had a part put on hold, so I could pick it up after work, made it to the store from picked up what we needed, go to put it in the vehicle, and it's completely the wrong part. We call verify that they have the correct one in stock, when we explained they sold us the wrong part, the man on the phone responded with, "Yeah." So, we make the drive back to the store to get the correct part, and by the time we get home it is too dark to finish the work, so now the repair has to wait another day. They have a habit of selling the wrong parts, and making the customer make extra trips in. Only reason I went here was desperation. I won't be back, I will drive to Kellogg of Coeur d'Alene for parts.
Went to use the jumper box and the lady was totally profiling me. I was gonna leave my wallet and everything. Just because I'm not dressed like a hick? No, it wasn't in the parking lot but I've borrowed them multiple times before and no issues even from spokane, Wa. Definitely recommending another auto part store like Autozone or Advanced Auto!
I came here tonight in desperate need of new windshield wipers. The gentleman who helped me at check out was kind enough to put them on my car for me and I didn’t even have to ask. He was more than happy to do it and stated he wanted to make sure my daughter and I got home safely. I didn’t catch his name, I wish I had so I could mention him in this.

Went in thinking it was autozone (I know...I was on autopilot and didn't realize til I was standing there thinking, "wait.. green is oreill---yeah I came into the wrong store" but told the guys hey why not, looking for this ac hose replacement and autozone has it for x amount but isn't in stock til sat, what do you have? He discounted it to price match and I was able to pay right then and pick it up at the store in cda. Same price as autozone and then same day vs 3 days wait! Great help and service
Two ⭐⭐ today. I needed something in a rush, because all other auto parts store closed today . Sunday. I thought awesome O'Reilly is open as website said, when I got there it was closed. I got there at 7:34 doors locked, lights off , kid on phone leaning on the counter. CLOSED BEFORE 8:00 pm. Thanks!
Just want to say thank you to Tom. He went above and beyond to help me replace a 2 month old part that was fubar. O'reillys needs more managers like him.
My family and I began having car trouble on Fourth of July pass on our way to Missoula. It was after dark and we were barely able to make it into the O'Reilly parking lot before breaking down. Michael was able to diagnose the problem, sell us what we needed and refer us to a mechanic. He even helped us get to a hotel for the night. The situation was awful, but Michael really was the perfect person to help us in our time of need. If this is how O'Reilly employees are, count me as an O'Reilly customer for life!
It’s New Years Day, driving back from Montana to Washington and we had an issue with our battery starting. Thankfully they were open, and Ronald figured out the problem, $3 fix, and installed it. Very appreciative for his kindness and help, especially on a holiday!
The people at this store are the kindest, most helpful people out there. They are so knowledgeable- during a road trip the battery light came on and luckily they were still open when everyone else was closed. They spent a long time helping us figure out what was wrong and getting it taken care of- even standing out in the cold and patiently walking us through the replacement process. I can’t say enough good things about this place and am so grateful for these wonderful people!
The smelterville store was wonderful. My radiator cap had gone bad. Randy checked out discovered it was bad and replaced it so I did not waste money on antifreeze. Kudos to him and hope you keep him.
Randy was very helpful and kindly shared all his knowledge to help us diagnose the issue with our car overheating during a road trip. He recommended a simple replacement of the radiator cap, which totally fixed our problem! The car was fine since, and we owe it to Randy's thoughtfulness and desire to help. Highly recommend this shop!
Thomas was very awesome and helpful, very knowledgeable and made a stressful and expensive situation manageable and cheaper. Definitely recommend them, they're always awesome.
I am traveling from Washington state cross Country. My vehicle began overheating a mile outside Smelterville. I pulled over and let her cool down. The called the local shop. They recommended this store. I limped in and let Tom know what was going on. He found the hose I thought I'd lost. He just made me feel like I was home. And when you are in a new place with a crisis that feeling is priceless. Tom is one of those old school parts experts that knows his stuff and listens and is patient. I honestly can't say enough how glad I am that he was there when I needed help.
My husband and I are from southern Idaho and came to northern Idaho for vacation and our belt for our AC broke. Our vacation was shaping up to be miserable with the heat but Ross went above and beyond and got us all fixed up. We appreciate his outstanding services as an employee. Thanks Ross!!
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We borrowed tools and the staff performed a guidance check for us, enabling us to fix a spark plug problem. I would go to them for any car part or advice need. Thank you for saving our cross country family vacation.
Extremely helpful. I stood at the register for 5 minutes b4 I said something about taking my money. I suggest bar stools at the counters. Maybe because I suffer from arthritis I'm not as tolerent as I could be. I'm thinking Amazon next time.See ya
Absolutely no customer service what so ever . When walking in two of the three working scurried to the back stock room the one was hunched over in front stocking hot wheels never bothered to ask if I needed help finding anything when I asked about bulbs and filter I was told look in the book so guess what I walked out went across the parking lot to Walmart where I was promptly helped out by a friendly employee and got what I needed in under 5 minutes and saved 15 bucks. And one thing for sure o Reilly just lost my Business account I had with them for my trucking company I own. Think I'll go to Napa auto where they'll value my business a lot better.
