I have always had a great experience here both as a buyer and seller. Both times I needed parts for my truck I was able to get them here and the staff are always very helpful. I also recently sold two trucks and they were super efficient to get my trucks picked up and paperwork done on the same day. Excellent business!
It's been over ten years since I've visited this place, and I have to say it's only gotten better since the last time I was there. Good selection, looked over the Fords and Jeeps, also some scrap metal for a project (for which they will cut to length for you every Tuesday) can't complain. Will return whenever I need something like this
Saying goodbye to my old car, was a little emotional she may have been rough to drive, but she got me through a lot. Big thanks to the gentlemen from the yard who came all the way to me, loaded her up, and worked quickly to remove the tires, even helped me put them into my car. Went a few times to find parts for my friends f150 and another friends forester. Found everything we needed, and at a really good price. Staff was helpful and knew where to locate the parts. They have a great selection of vehicles with plenty of good parts for sale. They answered all our questions and it was a great experience.
Have bought parts several times. Last time needed a transfer case they had what I needed. I usually do my own work but already had another project going.They pulled my old one and installed replacement and did a complete vehicle check. Great service at good price! Saved me time and work, which was great!

It was an awsome experience has a lot of 60s 70s 80s chevy trucks and cars too .all in excellant shape .very nice and helpful people working there.and willin to help a person find what they are looking for .reasonable prices .had a blast while i was there .and flund what i was looking forr and a few i didnt expect to find. Will go back there when i get a chance .
Broke down on the side of hwy 95, an hour from home, with 3 dogs, and 4 cats. I called garwwod wrecking. I wasn't to far down the road from them. They sent their mechanic, he got me going good enough to get to their shop; they had what I needed and got me down the road in under 30 min. They saved my bacon, and made a few critters a little more happy. Thank you

My husband purchased a transmission. They had it ready to go in two days. They loaded it and we were on our way. Than he found out he did not need the transmission. We call to see if we could return. I love coming here, but so inconsistent on price . I’ve got a bunch of odds and end small parts before for 25 bucks , killer deal but then went back and had 1 tiny part like a clip or something and some dvds from in a car like 3 and it was 10.00 . I could of went to a thrift store and paid 3-4 bucks . So guess it depends on staff on what they wanna charge. Staff always super nice and friendly though. Wish they closed at 5 not 4 it’s sucky .

I've dealt with these nice guys twice now and both times great experiences. I went in for a headlight assembly for my old Camry and they let us just have it for free! And then a while later they helped me get rid of that same car and they came and got it and paid me for it. Great local business
Really? $100 for an 80's tailgate with a busted handle? If I wanted to get screwed, I can think of much better places to spend that money.
If I were you, I wouldn't buy the rest of the positive reviews. I'd bet my life on the fact that the posters never been to a real salvage yard in their lives.
I mean, do they even have a record of their inventory? The first time that I called and they couldn't tell me whether whether they had something that would work, I just figured that I was speaking to someone particularly new or slow. But even after the second time I called and the exact same thing happened, I thought that it was still worth a trip to go down and look around. I mean, look at all those positive reviews!
But who knows. Maybe they only scalp you only on the tailgates. Perhaps that's the reason that there's so many random ones right next to the front door of the office.
In any case, I would recommend that you save your time and money and look elsewhere
Drove all the way up from Sandpoint last minute before closing. They let me poke around until i could find the bolts i was looking for! Great service, very friendly, awesome deal and a wide selection of parts will be back for any of my futre needs!

I own a small business, my grandpa went to Garwood wrecking and recycling in hope of finding some rear view car mirrors. Jay was so nice and very helpful to my grandpa. He ended up finding 6 which are perfect! And Jay also gave him a great deal. They have great service and I can’t wait to put these mirrors to use for my small business!! Highly recommend!
I purchased a truck engine from them, Chris was super helpful and they allowed us to roam their yard and I ended up coming home with more than just an engine. So far so good, just made my first visit there today and it was pretty straightforward, no BS. Walked up to the office, told em what I was looking for and they told me where to look for what I was in search of, and wound up venturing off around the whole yard looking at the old cars. No hassle about looking around and they let you do your business. Also, no charge to get in, which I hope doesn't change because they very well could charge an arbitrary fee but didn't, so that was really nice to see.
