We called for a towing right before they closed on a Tuesday night. They were patient while I tried to figure out what road I was on. They picked us up, loaded my whole family up and got us back to town. They fixed my car first thing in the morning and got me back on the road before it was even time to check out of my hotel. 10/10. Would definitely recommend them to anyone in their service area.
I have to say that their professionalism and their customer service is top-notch! I was very devastated when my car would not start and I was left a foot and yet they were professional and got right on it. They came and picked up my car and kept me in the loop on how much it was gonna cost, which is way more expensive than I wanted, but yet cheaper than any other place. They went above and beyond to help us. They not only towed our car and trailer back to their shop, the driver helped us get our group reunited and the other volunteered to take us and our trailer into Boise so we could have a place to stay and make a plan on how to make it back to Utah. If anyone ever needs a tow i could not recommend this place enough. Thank you guys!!
So thankful for the rescue tonight. We were preparing to have to leave my son’s rig stranded and got stuck trying to pull him out too. They got both of our rigs out of the snow and on the way home in no time. Thank you again so much!

While we were out in the hills on Christmas day, we had our vehicle slide off the road and gave them a call. Not only did they say they would help, they talked to me to get exact location and estimate to arrive. They arrived on time, and quickly resolved our issue to get us out and running again all while being super courteous and open about the pricing. We would hope to never need to use them again but would if we were in trouble again, and would recommend for off-road recovery.
Jerry and his team mate came out to rescue us last night after we tried turning around on a snowy road, we bottomed out. After shoveling for 2 hours called Jerry and he came right up to save us! We appreciate you man! We had planned on staying the night in the truck but the snow storm came in and the temp dropped to 27 we started to rethink that decision. Glad we did! He got us out quick and stopped along the way out to keep checking on us behind him.
Wonderful experience. These folks came and towed my rv from the middle of nowhere many miles to their shop. Jerry and Becky and their employees couldn't have been nicer. I am traveling so they went out of their way to get my rv fixed the same day. I definitely recommend this shop to anyone who needs towing, repairs or parts.

Jerry was very pleasant when I talked to him on the phone and I really want to give his local company a good review but I can't. I got completely overcharged for the services recieved. They charged me $450.00 to pull a van out of the mud, 20 minute job, I own and operate multiple buisness and have 40 vehicles on the road and unfortunately I can't do buisness with this company, I would be embarrassed if I was to overcharge someone by this much.
If you like getting ripped off this is a great place to do business.
They have no problem lying to you.
They have no problem towing your vehicle 2 miles and charge you 1136.00 for tow and 3 days storage.
They have no problem trying to stall ,an effort to delay picking up your vehicle to run up additional charges until there threatened with legal action.
If you believe the positive reviews on this site (good luck )your going to need it.
The company posted a tic tac exposing my son's Vehicle's license plate. The older gentlemen that works there has the worst temper and verbally abuses the female office staff. When he doesn't think hes being overheard. I listen to a 15 minute rampage that I could hear through 2 closed doors.
It was so upsetting I started to cry for her. I expressed my upset to the person at the desk who was helping me. Bixby behave your was suggestive that this happens all the time and it's just something they have to look away and pretend it's not happening.
Gem County Auto runs a racket auto dismantler and towing operation. Beyond horrible service, they stole a deposit for some used auto parts that I changed my mind on buying. The owner took weeks to get back to me and was disrespectful. Take your business elsewhere. They will rip you off and cuss you out I recommend that you stay away from this business
Honest and reliable tow company. Excellent customer service. Shout out to Lane! He went above and beyond to assist my daughter who had gotten her VW Beetle stuck on an extremely muddy and steep road. I can't thank you enough! Great Team at Gem County Auto & Truck!
5 starts for the excellent customer service! From Sunday 11/12/23 to Tuesday 11/14/23 they were absolutely nothing but helpful. Trevor, Becky, Jerry, and anyone else I talked to were very very helpful with an incident that occurred on 11/12 at the bottom on freeze out coming into Emmett. Although the tow was a little spendy I understand that it takes time and knowledge to be able to tow. And I have nothing but respect for the drivers who put their life’s on the line daily to get a wrecked vehicle out of the road to keep traffic flowing, or pulling up on the side of the road to get your stalled vehicle or whatever the case may be to get it out of the way. 10/10 great service from this wonderful team. Just to add when you see a tow truck, or any vehicle with flashing lights on the side of the road slow down and move over! Again I appreciate the help from these amazing people! :)
They had great prices and a good selection on all the Toyota Tacoma parts that I needed.
I've purchased from them interior parts, lenses for blinkers and tail lights, a tailgate, and I'm headed that back way for some additional parts.
They took very good care of me and gave me good prices.
For the driver five stars but the company one they are making there own price 550 for one mile driver took off 100 then only gave a hundred for the ranger so I paid 350 and the owner didn't want to give my deck out of the
Needed help moving a truck dry box and used GCATs towing service. Trevor who did the tow for me proved he is a skilled operator of his truck. He dropped the tow exactly where I wanted it and his customer service skills are top notch. Thank you GCAT for your prompt, courteous and professional A+ service.
I took my vehicle in there for tires and a front end alignment. I got a call later in the day as was told that my upper and lower ball joints were bad on both sides of the vehicle and total cost so fix them would be $1300 with labor. On advise from a friend I told them to forget it and took the vehicle to another shop and they said that that the ball joints were fine and all it needed to have the axle joints lubed. Saved me many hundreds of dollars. I have no plans on ever going back to Gem County Auto and Truck.
In January the transmission of our truck went bad called around they were the only place that I could find a transmission for our truck, took them over three weeks to pull out the transmission from their salvage yard. In February we get it and get it installed in our truck, right away when it shift it would shift hard on all but one gear, we take it to get checked to a mechanic and he tells me right away that that transmission is bad I call them and let them know what’s going on, it takes them over a week for them to give me a response to take them my truck for them to check the transmission, I live over two hours away, I take the truck and it took them more than three weeks to get it checked, after many phone calls I make, they tell me the transmission is bad and it my fault! No that transmission wasn’t working since the beginning we did everything right! He said all he could do for us was find another transmission and they install it and we pay for the installation, again more than three weeks later they haven’t “found” one and it’s been almost two months that they have had our truck and nothing has been done!All I needed for was my money back or for them to give us another transmission! Paid over $900 for something that didn’t work!
These guys are amazing they have towed multiple times for me and it has always been pleasent. When i first started driving I wreaked my Chrysler off a small hill into a barbed fence it was snowing and icy and barb wire was wrapped around my car. They were quick to come help he was super sweet so was his son. Even tho it was 8 am the were quick to work and happy. I will always call them when I need help!
This is a very dishonest company
We purchased a used engine from them with a 90 day warranty! I was told that the cylinders all checked between 165 and 175 lbs. (before purchase). I installed the engine in my truck and codes came up saying #5 and numerous other cylinders were misfiring. I purchased a new compression gage and tested them and found # 5 was at 20 lbs and a couple other ones were 60 and 70 most were under 110. I called the company and the owner was very rude he kept yelling all the time he was on the phone and would not listen. He stated there was no way I could prove it was his engine that
I put in the rig and that I had voided the warranty when I removed the heads to replace the gaskets. Although their warranty states they are not responsible for leaky gaskets and it had leaky gaskets that had to be replaced.
I tried to explain this to him but he continued yelling.
Upon checking further into the engine I found the #5 cylinder was scored and corroded and was not repairable. I called back and told him and again got yelled at and I told him I could prove it was fraud and he finally said he would
Give me a different engine. But at this point I knew they were dishonest and did not want to deal with them! Way too much labor to change the engine. Plus the cost of the gaskets.

A very nice young guy came out on a cold wet snowy day. We were stranded at a self serve gas station. He was cheerful despite having to lay in a puddle to attach hooks underneath our pickup. Will call them again if ever need a haul on a flatbed.
These people are shady. They show up like they are help in plaim close with a toyota then charge me 2000 dollars for it. They also. Commit fraud often by lying to insurance companys to get you to pay they told my insurance that i wrecked and there was damage so it then counted against me as an accident bunch of worthless rednecks ripping people off avoid at all cost we dont even go through emmett anymore because of these shady scam artist most giving good reviews are friend and family of people who work there
Owner is very rude and unprofessional. The only reason why he is still in business is because he is the only tow company in Emmitt. Him and his company would fail in the treasure valley because you can NOT act like that. I'm from a big city where respect is a must, no, not this man. He is king tow man in Emmitt Idaho, congratulations! What an accomplishment. He needs to be knocked off of his high horse and show some respect, change his attitude and be pleasant in return. I have never been so disrespected, I would have expected that kind of attitude from a new hire that deserves to be fired immediately. He doesn't know this but I am very very thankful that my interaction with this man was video and audio recorded. If you are reading this, I sure hope that if you have to have any business dealings with him that he is respectful and courteous with you. I sure hope he changes his out look on life and finds a safe/happy place to put a smile on. Going through life being so angry at the world is so sad.
These guys rock! Always professional, courteous, & great rates. When my son locked the keys in the car during the fair, I called the local locksmith. Not only could he not unlock the car , but damaged the door as well. I called the Sheriff's dept who suggested I call Gcat. He had the door unlocked in <5mins w/no damage! I've also had them tow my vehicles a few times. The last time I was stuck in Eagle after the starter fell out of my truck. I thought it would be cheaper to have a tow truck from the area tow me back to Emmett. After calling around for for rates (YIKES!), I called Gcat, and they beat everyone hands down. They are quick to respond and treat my vehicle as it were their own. Thanks guys for the wonderful service.
