So went to the local mechanic aka Autotranz transmission in Parma to get a bad hydro boost replaced that I just got replaced in Tennessee last month, this so called professional mechanic said he could replace it and said I should replace the three lines going to it because they could be leaking so I agreed I picked all the parts dropped of the pickup yesterday he told me it would take him 1.5 hours to swap it out. He did not get it done yesterday because of a family emergency which I understand so today a little after noon he called said it was ready, I picked it up and had to run to Boise when I got there I hear a noise coming from the engine and discovered the steering pump was bone dry and fluid all over the engine. I paid a lot of money to have a so-called professional do a job and almost cost me a steering pump. He told me he test drove it and it was okay, I asked him after you test drove it did you look under the hood to make sure everything was good and he said no, he said Gabriel his hired hand did the work and I told him then he should have made sure the job was done correctly. Never doing business with them again.
They were nice enough to make time to look at the truck and diagnosed it as the transmission. Opted to hold off on the repair for now. So I can't comment on quality.
They're an efficient, affordable, friendly, and honest company. Cannot recommend Autotranz enough!
Had my 215k mile 4t65e cleaned and refreshed here last year. Have since put over 6000 hard miles on the car, including a 2500 mile roadtrip through multiple blizzards and terrifyingly unkept roads. Has not hesitated, hard shifted, or thrown a code a single time!

Shout out to Autotranz in Parma! We took our truck to the dealer. They quoted us 17k for a new transmission. My brother in law suggested taking it to Autotranz. We had it towed. Long story short nothing was wrong with the transmission. The 4x4 fork needed replaced, with a few other problems that were addressed. We got our truck back today for 1/4 of the price quoted, and it runs like new. I literally ruined my holidays by working every overtime shift I could manage thinking it was gonna cost a fortune to repair our truck. Thank you to the honest professionals at Autotranz! Yes, the truck needs a good bath, but I am just happy it's in my driveway.
My brother had a transmission for his 1980s Chevy Silverado built here, and they did an amazing job, and it's still running strong! So I brought them a 2008 Dodge charger to them, and they were super professional and welcoming, would recommend all day every day!
Awesome knowledgeable guy! Took a truck off a lift to get me in since I was visiting. Not only did he fix it in three hours after 2 other transmission guys couldn't figure it out but the price was reasonable. Also my transmission never ran this good and it is a low miles truck. 10 out of 5 stars!
Lyle and the guys are the best! They've been taking care of our family for close to 10 years. No one else is allowed to touch our vehicles anymore. They're quick, honest and helpful.
We recently took our 2012 Subaru Outback into Autotranz in Parma with a blown head gasket. The car had gotten super hot when this happened and we were worried there was more damage than just the blown gasket. Lyle, the owner, called within the week and told us he sent the head in to be ground smooth and would put a new gasket in, otherwise the engine looked good. Talk about an honest mechanic. Super impressed, car runs great!!! Thanks Autotranz!
The best customer Service I have ever experienced. Normally I don't leave reviews but Ed has been phenomenal throughout my whole experience and he offered to take time out of his own personal day to help me with my car. All around a 5 star review. I felt re assured through out my whole experience and will probably come here and refer here to everyone I know. Was referred here by a friend, and was glad to find out about Autotranz. They were upfront, approachable and went out of their way to make sure I had the answers I needed, in a timely manner. I won't be using a drive up oil and lube place to change my transmission fluid again... lesson learned. I'll be calling these guys next time. Thanks for your help!
I was headed to pick up my shirt order from Pullover Prints, when I knew something was going on with my car. I was lucky that Autotranz is right behind Pullover Prints. I asked Ed if he could look at my car and see what was wrong with it. He was able to fix my car and send me on my way. He also gave me his lunch to eat because I was on my lunch hour and was starting to get hangry. The service was exceptional. I will definitely be back!
Eddie and the team at Auto Tranz are reliable and professional. I have been going there almost a year for all our family car repair needs and he is on time and on budget. The job gets done right the first time and they are a lot better than going to a dealership.

These guys are the best! Not only are they extremely knowledgeable but they are compassionate as well, which is a traight I find lacking in a lot of businesses these days. I will never go anywhere else.
The folks at Autotranz are wonderful! They've saved me money, and time, by doing what needs to be done, and at a good price (when other places have told me things would cost more). They've replaced my timing belt and full 200,000 mile service, shocks and struts, fixed problems with my wiring harness and battery, and just recently, fixed my headlight socket. My car has ~230,000 miles, and I'm hoping for many thousands more. These guys are knowledgable and honest. I know they won't be overcharging me, or doing work that doesn't need to be done. It's nice to have mechanics I can trust.
I was very nervous about taking my truck in for a transition fluid change because it only had 36k on it and I was surprised when the dealership said that it needed that work. Especially as a women I was worried that I would end up being talked into more services then I actually needed so I decided to call around and do research. Autotranz is the shop I picked. The guys who work their are very nice and they showed me the color of my transmission fluid and they went out of their way to make sure I understood what they were doing and make me feel good about the services they were performing on my truck. I feel great full that I have found a shop that I can go to if I have questions or need work done in the future and they are very honest and fair. :)

Great service from honest people. I blew out the clutch in my car about three days before Christmas and they hooked me up and had my car towed right away. I received it back within a week, and repair costs were well within my expectations. This was during one of the busiest times of the year for them (seriously, their parking lot was PACKED with cars waiting to get worked on). Once I got it back I noticed another, strange, completely unrelated problem: a weird squealing sound when I turned a sharp corner, after about a week it didn't go away, but I called up, got an appointment set up and they took a quick look at it and informed me it was an easy fix. Then we took a ride in the car around the block together to make sure everything was good. NO CHARGE for any of that. Once again Autotranz does great work, and everyone there is very honest and fair. I trust them with any work on my cars in the future.
I have had several vehicles in the past few years that have needed transmission/clutch work, but I have never been very satisfied with the results or cost. I was looking for a transmission repair shop to have my Honda repaired, but was skeptical to take my pride and joy to a local shade tree mechanic or national chain. I heard about AutoTranz from a trusted mechanic who had nothing but good things to say about them.
I called and talked to Lyle at AutoTranz and explained what I wanted to have done to my car. He quoted me a very reasonable price and I dropped the car off later that week. My needs were not simply a repair, but I wanted to replace the transmission with a sport model instead of the current base model transmission as well as a couple of other non-standard modifications. Lyle was able to handle all of it flawlessly and kept me well informed each step of the way. There were a couple of unexpected challenges with the conversion to the sport transmission, but Lyle handled it all, to include chasing down some unique parts needed. He even went so far as to repair a leaking brake line he found during his test drive and still kept my costs far below my expectations. Lyle has earned my loyalty due to his reasonable prices, quality workmanship, great communication and genuine concern for his customers.
As always with transmission repairs, it is hard to find someone who is qualified, capable and trustworthy. Lyle from AutoTranz is all of those and more. He is also a pretty nice guy to talk to.
